Dancing with the Stars
Week 7 Elimination

Original Air Date: May 4, 2010

It’s that time of the season when the eliminations start getting really tough. Now that they’ve weeded out the really bad dancers, I’m starting to get attached the stars that remain and it’s hard to see them go.

Only five points separate Evan and Nicole at the top of the leader board from Niecy at the bottom. With such a tight race, it’s up to the votes to see who will survive to dance again and who lost the popularity contest.

Twin Beds

I just turned 23, and I recently moved from a twin bed to a double bed, and it surprises me that anyone would voluntarily sleep in a twin. Well, that’s just what Marshall and Lily did in this episode, and let me tell you, it was a spark of genius.

This episode tied in things that make the show so fabulous and reminded me why I love it so much.

Hey, our show isn’t doing too well in the ratings right now and we’re on the verge of possible cancellation. What do we do?

“I’ve got it,” someone on the Chuck staff shouts; “We’ll get some really hot guest stars and do some stunt casting for our final few episodes. I’m talking smoking hot,” he or she shouts. “In the 1970s,” the last part being quietly muttered under the Chuck-executive’s breath.

Jimmy Fallon to Host Prime Time Emmy Awards

fallon

No one better tell Jay. The Late Show’s Jimmy Fallon has been named the host of the 62nd Primetime Emmy Awards, reports TVGuide.

“Hosting the Emmys has been a dream of mine ever since they told me I was doing it,” the SNL vet quipped.

NBC’s executive vice president of alternative programming called Fallon a natural choice, stating “His proven skills as a comedian and host — as well as his openness to new ideas — will fully engage audiences and ultimately deliver a lively Emmy telecast.”.

Late Night Liars: A Whole New Comedy Game Show Experience

Game Show Network (GSN) will be debuting the new comedy game show Late Night Liars on June 10, but hang on to your hats, because this is not one for the kids despite the presence of a panel of puppets, courtesy of Henson Alternative, a label of The Jim Henson Company.

Quite the opposite, this show is described as “saucy puppets + wicked humor + late night sensibility” in the GSN Press Release.

Poor Leonard, he fell in love with the girl next door, dated her three times in two years, and then finally became her boyfriend in season three…only to have her break it off with him because she wasn’t ready to say ‘I love you’ back (and because Wil Wheaton wanted to win a bowling match against Sheldon.)

With Leonard and Penny no longer together how will this affect the team dynamic? How will Leonard cope? Will Raj secretly be ecstatic Leonard is now single like him? More importantly, how will Sheldon cope with this sudden change in his life? It’s never easy on the kids when mom and dad split up…

This was the week that the subtle glances turned into longer stares and more prevalent jealousy. Whether you’re calling them Rick and Kate, Beckett and Castle, R-ate, or Cas-kett, this was the duo’s breakthrough week.

This was the week that they began to show their mutual desire with a little less cloaking. This was the week that gave all of the couple’s fans this telling dialogue:
Beckett – “Guy’s like Wolf come in and upset the apple cart. Makes you feel alive, but eventually you know he’s just going to let you down. So why risk it?”
Castle – “Because the heart wants what it wants.”

There was also a corpse-icle who may have been murdered by one of eight people, but was anyone truly surprised by the killer’s identity? Let’s break down the suspect and case first…

House goes out with his coworkers, outs his patient and starts a downward spiral of drinking. Sound like a good episode? It gets better when we see some gratuitous House karaoke! Let’s get to it!

The Nicole, bride, and her father walk down the aisle to Ted, the groom. He looks fine, and she looks incredibly nervous. Ted goes to recite his vows but he can’t speak, starts choking and passes out. Man, that is so rude.

Only five more hours of 24 left, and I don’t know if that’s a good thing or a bad thing.

The fact that I don’t know troubles me a great deal, since I’ve been one of this show’s biggest fans since the pilot (I even liked Day 6, and everyone seemed to hate that).

If this show is going to do something, it had better start now.
