Seattle Grace puts their doctors through some sensitivity re-training since they’re all kind lacking bedside manner. Miranda also implements a “no jokes rule” And their first test is a guy who comes in that is morbidly obese. Who somehow married a cute skinny girl. But OK.

They find a big nasty infection under one of his “stomach folds” and they wheel him to another room but his wheely thing won’t fit through the door. He gets up to walk a few steps through it then basically his leg gives out, breaks, and he collapses. Wow. This should be an interesting episode.

Everybody loves a clown. Unless you’re poor Noah, a math genius with a crippling phobia of clowns who is being chased through a park by a clown who wants to murder him. Clearly, the fear has not proven to be an irrational one.

By the time CBI is there, Noah is dead, his index finger cut off and removed from the scene. But why? To send a message? We’re not sure, but that’s hardly the strangest thing about this case. What is strange is the gaggle of clowns (is there a name for a large group of clowns?) that are congregating where the crime scene occurred, all drawn there by an audition ad looking for clown talent — a clever ploy. A clever, creepy ploy.

Ok, just a fair warning, I will be shortening up these recaps so that there is not so much detail to turn you off…deal?

This was a much more fun episode, but the best part came at the end and it did not even involve our main squeeze couple!

Last week, I was in St. Louis and away from internet and TV when the episode aired. Just in case you weren’t already aware of how much happens every week- you really feel it when you need to catch up.

Anyway, last week, recapped by Brittany, took us through a lot of Janis’s back story, but largely made things even more confusing. Somehow, I don’t see any huge changes in that trend tonight.

A vacation to Hawaii sounds wonderful, doesn’t it? You get to enjoy the warm weather, the beautiful blue ocean, and possibly see some exotic sea creatures. Imagine you on the beach with the person you love the most, soaking up the sun. Do you have a wonderful image in your head? I hope you do! Now, add in your ENTIRE family. Your new adoptive child, your two children, their spouses, and between them, their 4 children.

That’s right, your wonderful trip for 2 has turned into an action-packed journey for 11. How does that sound now? Do you still want to go? Well, that’s just what happened on Modern Family, and let me tell you-it was priceless.

Let me preface this recap by saying that tonight the dialogue in this episode was fast and sharp, so if you have any way of watching the episode on hulu.com or NBC.com you need to as soon as you possibly can. It’s impossible to get it all in, and I’m only a humble recapper.

Out of context or without the line delivery it’s not as fantastic anyway. For the way Abed delivers facial expressions alone, and Troy’s connotations when he says things, you need to be seeing these episodes live, because (and especially tonight) they are a true force of writing.

Criminal Minds – Recap & Review – …A Thousand Words

Criminal Minds
…A Thousand Words

Original Air Date: May 5, 2010

The last time we waited weeks for a new episode, we were rewarded with the horrifying The Fight. It was a huge let down after a break without episodes. I really hoped that would not be the case after the most recent short hiatus. Luckily, my wishes came true. …A Thousand Words was a fantastic episode to come back with!

This week we chase the leads of an unsub who offs himself before we really get to know him. Of course, for the BAU, that’s not really an issue. We get to know him throughout the episode by the clues he leaves, and by my favorite team of profilers who figure them out and tell his story.
