It’s party time in Pawnee! April is turning 21, an appropriate age for Andy to date her without it being creepy. And where does a girl most hope to have her 21st birthday party? The Snake Pit, obviously.

The party seems to be a decoy for Tom to invite women out for him to hit on. Andy is excited for the birthday and wrote her a song, using a month… not April.

FlashForward – Recap & Review – The Negotiation

There are three episodes of FlashForward’s season- and probably series- left. The future is still up the air, but with final decisions coming next week, most predictions say chances are less than 50/50. This means a lot has to happen in these last weeks.

This episode takes place completely on April 28th, the day before the visions took place. By the end of tonight, it seems all our questions from the pilot may soon be answered. But there will probably be a lot more in their places.

Finals week! I remember from my college days, the hellish all nighters, consuming more Red Bull than should be legally allowed and crying over no available computers in the lab. It all seems so crazy and not worth it all until you’re finally turning in that paper and you can breathe again.

But what if…what if the worst imaginable thing possible happened? What if you found yourself suddenly having to take that God-awful course again? How would you possibly cope? Personally, I would probably weep inconsolably.

I’ve never been to Hawaii, but that looks just as I imagined paradise to look. It was such a beautiful setting for the show, and the actors are more than lucky to have gone.

The episode was perfect, and had me rolling on the floor laughing the whole time. North, South, East, or West; the cast of Modern Family can deliver the best half hour of comedy on ABC.

I have to admit I was almost giddy when last night’s episode ended. I’ve felt a little like this season has been a bit hit and miss, and I was feeling especially let down after the horrible cross-over episode. But this week is the second week in a row of awesomeness in Criminal Minds land! I’m feeling really pumped for the finale now, even if I’d rather not have to go months without my show. I only hope my current enthusiasm doesn’t jinx it. I’m going to go find some wood to knock on right now.

…And wood has been knocked, so let’s get to it.

Would You Watch “Friends And Neighbors?”

cougar town or friends and neighbors?

If you’ve a fan of Saved by the Bell, then you probably know that it was originally called “Good Morning Miss Bliss.” Remember the old episodes, when Zack and company were in junior high in Indiana? Then they were miraculously transported to California without a mention of anything and Nicki became Kelly and long gone were potato-selling story lines. The title didn’t stick but the show did.

But what about a show that is already been on for a season and has plans to change its name upon the return for its second season? In all my television-watching years, I’ve never heard of such a thing. Until today.

When we last left Jules and her crazy gang, she and Grayson decided to pursue a real relationship. Well really, we just had to assume that because Grayson just walked across the street and kissed her, essentially meaning that he wanted more.

How will this effect the gang? Will it even work out? It is May sweeps, so we gotta have something good!

Everyone is at some kind of a party for Derek or something. Alex tells Lexi how hot her butt is (and I agree 100%). Mark is horny but Callie isn’t interested because she is bummed out about Arizona. Owen asks Christina to get their own place and move in together (and she accepts but she’s drunk). One of the new girls from Mercy West goes to hit on Mark (and she’ll likely be successful). And Miranda is back at her crushes house having a little hanky panky, too.

And finally, Teddy comes home to Mark and undresses, walks into the bedroom, and the intern chick (is her name Reid?) is in bed, as Mark walks out of the shower in just a towel and instead of acting busted Mark goes “well this could be fun if we let it”. Teddy isn’t down though but she’s not mad, either. Lexi overhears all this and she doesn’t seem happy. Alright readers let’s see what else Grey’s has in store for us!

My Two Cents – Idol Advice

I am not a singer. Not on a stage and not even in the shower. However, I have watched American Idol for many years. In the spirit of the saying that “those who cannot do, teach,” here’s my five pieces of advice to Idol contestants present and future.

Song Selection: When defending a song selection, never say you picked it because you like it or it means something to you. Sure, that connection might help in your emotional interpretation, but you should pick a song based on how good it makes your voice sound. A voice that sounds good can win the competition. A song you like will please your mom. Your mother cannot make you a recording star.
