After Penny overhears a loud argument between Leonard and Sheldon because of an attempted 2-degree thermostat increase, Leonard comes to her seeking refuge and gets to telling her the story of when he met Sheldon. The intent is to prove that somehow, in a way she doesn’t believe possible, the present-day Sheldon is actually an improvement!

So, flashback to seven years ago, and Leonard is visiting a potential apartment. Though it’s a wonder he can see where he’s going beyond the massive curly ‘do he was sporting.

Remember Stella? You know, the one who left Ted at the altar for her ex and moved to California? Yah, her. Well she’s back – sorta. What does “sorta” mean? Well, “The Wedding Bride” is a movie made by her ex-turned-no-longer-ex, Tony … and it’s all about Ted and Stella’s relationship, as told by Tony.

Ted finds out the hard way when he takes a date to see it. The real story behind “The Wedding Bride” is his emotional baggage so what is everyone else’s?

Esposito (to Beckett): “Why do you think he’s been following you around all this time? Research? Guy’s got enough research to write fifty books. Look, whatever the reason is, I’m pretty sure it doesn’t include watching you be with another guy.”

Wow! What a season finale! A murder I couldn’t resolve after the second commercial break. Emotions were running (and hiding) all over the place. Then, just when you saw the inevitable coming toward you like a Mack truck with a sledgehammer…

Dancing with the Stars
Week 9 Semi-Finals

Original Air Date: May 17, 2010

Annette – Sr. Reviewer
annette@thetwocentscorp.com

It’s down to the final four and they have their work cut out for them in the semi-finals. Each star will be required to do two new individual routines. Adding to the pressure this week, each star is also required to do a solo during one of their dances.

The stars were really on their games tonight. The judges were definitely in a good mood as they handed out lots of praise and lots of 10s.

Two Cents and Five Questions with Joss Whedon

whedon (with amber riley)

….Joss Whedon, Director (This time for Glee!)

Joss Whedon is no stranger to musicals, having directed a song filled episode of his cult sensation Buffy the Vampire Slayer and most recently Dr. Horrible’s Sing Along Blog, so it would only be fitting that he tackle this week’s episode of Glee.

We had a chance to participate in a conference call with Joss, where he talked about working with Neil Patrick Harris again, as well as which shows he definitely would not direct. Here are some of the highlights:

The TwoCents: What was it like working with Neil again?

It’s the last episode of 24 before the two-hour series finale.

The question is, how well will it set the table for the two hours that deserve to be one of the biggest events of the TV season? Or will it fall short like the season’s been doing for weeks now? Only one way to find out.

House – Recap & Review – Help Me

Help Me

It’s the season finale, people. Are you ready? This episode has one of my all time biggest fears (building collapse) and I’m going to try to get through it without hyperventilating but I’m not making any promises.

The opening shows an injured House around some broken glass and then we cut to a screen that says “Eight Hours Earlier”. House gives Cuddy a book for an housewarming gift, but she’s off to Trenton where a crane has collapsed. House heads there as well. It’s mass chaos, of course and there are injured people all over. The crane crashed into a building and it looks like 9/11. They even cut the credits and the theme song. This is dire.

Brothers and Sisters – Recap & Review – On The Road Again

Brothers and Sisters
On The Road Again

Original Air Date: May 16, 2010

Farrah Kaye – Sr. Editor
farrah@thetwocentscorp.com

Well here we are. The dramatic finale of Brothers and Sisters – and the death we’ve been waiting for: Peace out Rob Lowe. Don’t let the door hit ya on the way out. Yes, I’m a tad bitter. Lowe has said he felt the character ran its course. Seriously? Robert has so many sides to him. We barely touched on him being a father and if he only cares about being a “political actor,” well then he should just leave acting and move on over to the White House. And also, if you’re gonna leave your show, try to keep it secret and don’t ask how to be killed off. It angers your fans. Like this one.

But putting my anger against Rob Lowe aside, I have been looking forward to this finale for a while. Would we find out the real truth behind Narrow Lake? Would Justin and Rebecca find happiness or would they finally separate? What kind of story lines would the writers leave us with for the one-year time jump? And when I couldn’t think it could get any better, it was leaked out hours before I sat down to watch the episode that Rob Lowe wasn’t the only person coming back. Cliffhanger? You bet! Buckle in (get it? Road..buckle?) … it’s gonna be a wild one!
