On this week’s episode we get to see another myth spawned by a youtube video that’s gone viral. I am referring to the now infamous Greatest Slide Stunt Ever video. The team has taken on several of these viral videos. Some have turned out to be completely true while others have been blatant fakes.

Adam and Jamie get to have their fun with this one while the build team takes on another driving myth. This is one I heard when I first started driving 15 years ago. The myth claims that taking only right turns will save you gas.

TwoCents and Five Questions with Michael Lynche…

lynche

…Michael Lynche, Reality Contestant

Known as “Big Mike,” Michael Lynche first came to the country’s attention as he awaited new of his daughter’s birth during Hollywood Week. He went on to get the Judges’ Save when he was eliminated in ninth place.

We now know the finals next week will be Crystal vs Lee and we had a chance to ask a few questions to Big Mike after he finished in fourth place.

The Two Cents: You were probably the most consistent performer vocally. Do you think you took enough risks and do you believe that the winner will need to take a big risk to win?

I don’t know about you, but I always cry when the Idols go home. There’s usually a moment when they are overwhelmed by the response of their hometown and that’s what gets me.

Casey thanking the doctors who saved his life, Lee choking up while singing “The Boxer” at a racetrack, Crystal hugging her little boy. Sniff. In a good way.

This week’s episode picks up where last week’s ends — with Alicia beating out Cary for the junior associate position. And boy, is Cary pissed. Really, really pissed. But more on that later.

Kalinda, ever the party girl, takes Alicia out for a night of celebratory drinking. Alicia, after a few shots, finally asks Kalinda the big question: Is she gay? Kalinda gives a coy answer, saying that she’s “private.” Damn. I’ve really been curious about our favorite character.

Glee – Recap & Review – Dream On

On Monday night, my phone went off with an alert that my Glee: The Music, Volume 3 was available to download. I skipped right to “Dream On” and finally listened to the entire song in full instead of the 10 seconds of it I had been watching on TV over and over. It gave me chills.

Then something struck me: Just two songs later, Idina Menzel had a song on the soundtrack. “I Dreamed a Dream.” It seemed out of place. But it all came together in this episode, with guest stars Molly Shannon, Idina Menzel and of course, Neil Patrick Harris.

Justified scores a few coups in this episode. The guest stars are terrific (Stephen Root, Deadwood’s Sean Bridgers), but the biggest tip of the Stetson goes to director John Dahl.

Dahl was ahead of his time with Rounders, a poker epic with Matt Damon, Edward Norton and John Malkovich. The film, unfortunately, came and went before the WPT television boom.

It’s the season finale in the hippest zip in Bev Hills. What does that mean for everyone? Well, we’ve sexual assaults, pending divorce, multiple reconciliations, dumpings, and my least favorite character finally gets the crap beaten out of him!

If the show hadn’t been renewed, I think it could actually have worked as a series finale for several storylines. With no further ado, let’s get to it!

Glee Debate Club – “Dream On”

Welcome to another meeting of the McKinley Debate Club! We’re in our sixth session and things sure are getting interesting in the hallways of McKinley High as we close in on the end of the school year.

Tonight, your favorite fan sites will discuss some intense subjects, like Neil Patrick Harris and his rivalry with Mr. Shue, Jesse St. James’ true intentions, Artie’s dreams of wanting to dance and the truth about Rachel’s mother! As always, you are more than welcome to join in on the debate! And remember to come back and read TheClubGlee’s Recap & Review of the entire episode!

[Last updated on Wednesday, May 19, 10:15 AM EST]

TheClubGlee: Farrah
Favorite Moment: I’ve got 3. 1) The “Dream On” duet with NPH/MM. It gave me chills. 2) Artie’s dance dream. Flash mob anyone? 3) The reveal of Rachel’s mother!!! Months of rumors and speculation finally over!!
Favorite Quote: Besides EVERYTHING Bryan Ryan said (amazing writing for NPH)… “I’m never gonna dunk a basketball or kill a lion. I need to focus on dreams I can make come true.” – Artie
Overall Episode Grade: A+ (the music, the story lines, the emotions…)

TBS & TNT Announce Summer & Fall Programming

conan's new on tbs, who else is?

TNT and TBS today unveiled a broad array of plans for new programming, including several comedy projects that are being considered for TBS and a host of projects in development for TNT.

The two cable giants staged a joint Upfront presentation in New York, with appearances by a legion of stars, including TBS’s Conan O’Brien, George Lopez and Ice Cube; and TNT’s Kyra Sedgwick, Ray Romano, Andre Braugher, Scott Bakula, Jada Pinkett Smith, Dylan McDermott, Timothy Hutton, Noah Wyle, Jason Lee, Alfre Woodard, Ben McKenzie, Mark-Paul Gosselaar, Breckin Meyer and Angie Harmon.

TNT and TBS rank among the largest networks in television. “Television is more popular than ever with viewers, and that makes the medium very valuable to advertisers,” said David Levy, president of sales, distribution and sports for Turner Broadcasting System, Inc. “With reach that rivals broadcast and strong programming on each network, TNT and TBS present a great value proposition for our clients and their brand messages.”

Two Cents & Five Questions with Colin Hanks and Bradley Whitford

whitford and hanks

… Colin Hanks and Bradley Whitford, actors

I am an unabashed Matt Nix fangirl. I’ve been watching Burn Notice since the pilot, when he finally gave Jeffrey Donovan a show worthy of Jeffrey Donovan. So when I heard he had gotten a second TV series on FOX, I was excited. When that show also involves two pretty funny actors in Colin Hanks (yes, that Colin Hanks) and Emmy-winner (and longtime personal fave) Bradley Whitford, I knew it was going to be a can’t miss outing.

In The Good Guys, Hanks and Whitford play Dallas cops Jack Bailey and Dan Stark, who are assigned to Property Crimes for better or for worse. Jack has a smart mouth that tends to tick off those above him, while Dan seems to forget his glory days were two decades ago. The show’s two leads sat down with us to discuss their roles prior to the show’s preview event on Wednesday (after which the show moves to Friday nights at 9 PM, after Human Target).

TheTwoCents: One of the tricky things with this show – especially with the character of Dan – is that it could all too easily become camp, or become a caricature. How did you approach that, or keep it from going too far?
