It’s the season finale, and now that we know Allison and the DuBois clan will be back next season, I have to admit my expectations are lowered. We begin tonight with a Grey’s Anatomy-like voiceover from Allison, talking about being on the precipice, the life moments that are pregnant with possibility.

But is it the possibility of good or bad in her future?

Stargate: Universe – Recap & Review – Subversion

After last week’s personal drama, Universe gives us external conflict between the Destiny crew, backed by Stargate Command, and the Lucian Alliance. Remember them?

That’s okay if you don’t. Despite the fact that they blew up a planet and kicked off the show, we haven’t heard about them since Air. But they’re back now, and it seems they’re getting a little help from one of the “good” guys.

Fringe – Recap & Review – Over There Part II

Over There Part II

Original Air Date: May 20, 2010

I really like the subtle (and not-so-subtle) differences between our world and the Other Side… like the photo of JFK as an old man, San Francisco’s Trans America building being part of the NYC skyline, and Boston being destroyed. Yeah, that last one is kind of a biggie. Even bigger, in fact, when we find out Walter did it.

When he kidnapped Peter 20 years ago, Walter really tore up the Other Side, so much so that those “quarantine” bombs actually encase a location in amber, stopping a tear. Pretty drastic. When Olivia and William Bell rescue Walter from the hospital, the plan is to get Peter and, with the use of a “door-stop,” slip back into our reality. As William and Walter drive to Boston for equipment, there is nothing but desolation… and Walter realizes his one selfish action annihilated hundreds of thousands of people. Yeah. This is all going to end horribly.

Grey’s Anatomy – Recap & Review – Sanctuary/Death And All His Friends

Sanctuary/Death And All His Friends

If you’re a true Grey’s Anatomy fan, then you know the best episode(s) of the season are the finale and, if it’s a cliffhanger, the season opener. If you’re a super true fan, then you know the best finale ever was when Denny died while Izzie was in the elevator coming to see him in her gorgeous prom dress and Alex had to pry her off his dead body. No one can challenge that. A runner up was last year’s Izzie/George dying cliffhanger, thanks to contract negotiations.

But this year promised to be the best yet. Previews of a positive pregnancy test for Meredith, a shooter on the loose, Bailey being dragged by said shooter, and the hanging story lines from previous weeks (Arizona and Callie’s break up, the Owen/Teddy/Cristina love triangle and Mark still loving Lexie) had me on the edge of my seat before the episode even started. And let me tell you – since I’ve already watched it – it does not disappoint. This finale was, hands down, the BEST SEASON FINALE EVER. Possibly of any show I’ve ever watched. I’ll stop rambling now and tell you why. Enjoy!

Ok, so here we are with the season finale and I ask you this question….did anyone realize that the title of this episode is very familiar to the finale of last season? Last season was “The End in the Beginning”. Just a little something that I thought I would throw at you. There are some major changes that happen in this episode that will set the stage for next season and I for one, am not sure where it is going, but I am excited for the change.

As the show opens, we learn of some remains that are found on the Maluku Islands that gets Bonesy all a twitter. She is very excited over this discovery, more so, than the discovery of a hoarder that fell through his floor to the apartment below.

Piggy backing off last week’s conclusion, Jane and Kristina are out on a date. It gets a little awkward when she gives their waiter an impromptu reading, but it’s not anything we can’t handle. The angst arrives abruptly, and Jane excuses himself to the restroom where it’s clear his calm is disturbed — a skillful scene, the handling of his wedding band being the only action giving us a clue into his thoughts.

He returns to the table, and starts to say something to Kristina — perhaps to end the date early — but his phone takes care of that for him. Grace is on the other end, and she has something he needs to see: Red John has struck again. (Come on, you knew that date was going better than it had any right to.)

It’s the season finale and that means it’s cliffhanger time. What will they do to us this year to ensure we’ll be back next season?

Cold open: Sabre asks Michael to give a statement to the press about the printers that are catching fire. He promotes it online and on TV and now he wants to everyone to quit working and watch the clip online to make it the most popular clip on the local news site. Everyone couldn’t care less about Michael’s video and is enthralled with the video of a baby otter on the same site instead.

The season finale is upon us. The government of Pawnee is officially closed down until the budget is under control. This means that the parks are closed as well. Now, is Leslie Knope going to let that stop her from throwing a concert for kids, featuring Freddy Spaghetti? Of course not!

Jules and Grayson are super happy in their little relationship and are slowly letting everyone know. But everyone has forgotten one person: Bobby. Bobby, fresh with feelings for Jules and Grayson as a best friend, may not take this too well. On top of the fact that Travis is going off to college, he may really lose his marbles.

Other story lines to wrap up? Laurie and Ellie getting along, Travis preparing for college, maybe a Smith appearance or two, and maybe a glimpse into what the future holds. Like, what will the title be when the show returns? In the meantime … here we go.
