NCIS News: Pauley Perrette Reaches New Deal

abby will be back

Good news Abby fans: EW’s Michael Ausiello reports that Pauley Perrette has signed a multi-year deal to remain on NCIS, joining stars David McCallum and Rocky Carroll.

That leaves Sean Murray and Michael Weatherly as the only cast members to remain at the negotiating table, however Ausiello states a source close to him revealed both are very close to reaching a deal.

Mark Harmon and Cote de Pablo already had deals in place for the coming season.

My Two Cents: Come on Tony and McGee, the show won’t be the same without you. Well, at least we know we will be seeing our favorite lab girl back where she belongs.

Are you happy to see Perrette back?

Burn Notice
Friends and Enemies

Original Air Date: June 3, 2010

When we last left Michael Weston things had gone horribly wrong. Simon, the criminal he helped escape tried to blow up a hotel (foiled by Sam and Fi), Madeline was shaken down by the Feds, and things wrapped up with Michael abducted, wearing a hood in a delightfully furnished room.

And that is where we pick up in the season premier. Michael meets Vaughn, a shadowy man who works for management. He informs Michael that the boss is recovering and that Simon is locked away. The location is undisclosed, safe to say that it is some kind of secret holding facility. Vaughn leaves him with some light reading (an agency file). Back in his cell Michael tries to decipher the purpose of the documents. He manages to puzzle out that someone is running a war for profit.

TwoCents & Five Questions with Mia Michaels

michaels

Mia Michaels, judge/choreographer (So You Think You Can Dance)

Mia Michaels has been a judge and choreographer on So You Think You Can Dance since it’s first season. Known for her tough love, amazing routines and sensitive spot for truly incredible dancers, she is a well-respected contemporary artist. My favorite SYTYCD routine of all time is a Mia Michaels piece, and it still moves me to tears. So I was super excited to interview her!

TheTwoCents: As a long time fan of So You Think You Can Dance, I can see this change in format for the return of the all-stars being a huge game changer in the terms of the dancers coming in. Can you talk a little bit more about how you see the all-stars influencing the new dancers and what you think of that change?

ABC Passes On Old Christine

christine won't get a second chance

Sorry fans of Old Christine, it just wasn’t in the cards this time.

TVGuide reports that although they have expressed interest in the past, ABC has decided to pass on picking up the recently canceled CBS sitcom The New Adventures of Old Christine. “It’s just not going to happen at ABC,” creator Kari Lizer stated to the magazine. “It looks like the end of Christine.”

Fear not Julia Louis-Dreyfus fans. Although the show will not live on, Lizer still expressed a possible future with Christine star Louis-Dreyfus. “How can I go back to casting after working with that girl?” she commented.

My Two Cents: CBS really dropped the ball on this one. Old Christine was a much better fit in tone with their Monday lineup than Rules of Engagement, and probably could have survived if given the chance.

On this week’s episode we get two explosive myths. Jamie and Adam test a myth straight out of CSI. Will someone who is sprayed with pepper spray then shot with a TASER burst into flames? Meanwhile the build team tackles a story out of Germany about a man at a fireworks show who strapped 400 bottle rockets to his back and launched himself 150 feet off a ramp and into a lake.

In 2008 Adam and Jamie made a cameo appearance on the CSI: Crime Scene Investigation episode ‘The Theory of Everything’ (IMDB). In the episode one of the CSIs was testing to see if the reason a suspect burst into flames was because of the combination of his flannel shirt having been soaked in pepper spray and then being shot by a TASER. He performs the experiment under the watchful eyes of two lab techs, Adam and Jamie, and the shirt goes up in a fireball. After the episode aired, the Mythbusters were flooded with requests to test the story for real.

What is the best thing about this episode after coming back from break? Laura San Giacomo. That’s really all you need for a great episode of television.

The Just Shoot Me alum is back in the dramatic swing of things as this week’s main witness, Mia, the unhappy daughter of a mob family looking to testify.
