So You Think You Can Dance
1 of 8 Voted Off

Original Air Date: July 8, 2010

So who’s your prediction for tonight? We know Alex is in the bottom three, but do any of us think he’ll actually go home if he has a chance to heal to continue to compete? I think Jose might be in trouble, and I think Ashley and Robert might be in trouble too. And Billy was in the bottom last week and his piece with Jose was a little shaky.

So what do you think? Will we finally lose a boy or will just one girl be left to carry the baton?

Up Close And Personal Interview With Piper Perabo And Chris Gorham

Gorham and Perabo

I know what you’re thinking…didn’t you just do an interview with Chris and Piper? Well, yes…but a gal just can’t get too much of Gorham y’know and if you think I am going to pass up an opportunity to talk to him and Piper you are SO wrong! I know some fans out there that are depending on me to ask the tough questions and all, and I feel an obligation to do it, it’s a tough job, but someone has to do it and it might as well be me.

I thought about going “Barbara Walters” on them…but I didn’t want to have to make them cry. I would much rather hear them laugh.

Marg Helgenberger Returns to C.S.I.

photo: cbs

C.S.I fans can breathe a little easier now:

TVGuide reports that Marg Helgenberger (Catherine) has signed a deal to return next year along side Laurence Fishburne. Helgenberger is one of the remaining original cast members for the show. The rest of the cast, save for Liz Vassey whose contract was not renewed, are still in negotiations.

My Two Cents: This is great news. Helgenberger is such a wonderful actress, and it would be a shame for the show to lose any more of the original team.

What do you think? Are you glad to have Catherine Willows back?

Friends – Summer DVD Review – The One Where Everybody Finds Out

Friends
The One Where Everybody Finds Out

Original Air Date: Feb 11, 1999

Farrah Kaye – Sr. Editor
farrah@thetwocentscorp.com

After the girls switched apartments, the next big Rachel and Ross story line began: Joshua and Emily. Joshua is a customer at Rachel’s new job while Emily is the niece of Rachel’s new boss. After only one date, Emily and Ross fell in love while Rachel pined after Joshua like a high school cheerleader (please tell me you get the reference?). Eventually, Ross proposes to Emily mid-season and the end of season four is the preparation for their London wedding and eventually the wedding.

This wedding was one of the most pivotal moments of the entire show for two reasons: Ross says Rachel’s name at the altar and Monica and Chandler get together. From there, they stay together after they get back, Phoebe has the babies, Emily officially divorces Ross (yes, they actually went through with the wedding but it was merely for laughs), Brad Pitt comes over for Thanksgiving dinner (and we find out about the “We Hate Rachel” club), Joey is the first to find out about Monica and Chandler (who are now full on in love) and has to keep it a secret which brings us to The One Where Everybody Finds Out!

Hot In Cleveland Renewed for a Second Season

the gals will return for another season

Hot in Cleveland has just been renewed for a second season by TV Land after only three episodes, Deadline reports.

The network ordered twenty more episodes of the breakout hit show, which is their first original comedy series. Production is planned to begin in the fall, with a second season launch slated for Jan. 2011.

All of the show’s stars—Valerie Bertinelli, Jane Leeves, Wendie Malick, and Betty White—will be returning, in addition to the current showrunner and executive producers.

Hot in Cleveland premiered last month to 4.8 million viewers, the highest rated telecast in the history of TV Land. Ratings have dropped a bit since then, but the show has still averaged 4.7 million viewers so far. The show’s initial ratings were no doubt bolstered by the surging popularity of actress Betty White, who had also recently drawn high ratings for her hosting gig on SNL.

TwoCents & Five Questions With Matt Bomer & Tim DeKay (White Collar)

photo:usa

Matt Bomer & Tim DeKay, Actors

They’re probably two of the most underrecognized actors in TV: Matt Bomer stealing shows like Chuck and Traveler, while Tim DeKay kept giving solid performances in shows like Carnivale, Tell Me You Love Me, and Seinfeld. Now both have finally gotten their due with the USA Network hit series White Collar, which pairs them as talented con artist Neal Caffrey (Bomer) helps the FBI’s white-collar crime expert Peter Burke (DeKay) solve his cases. As White Collar heads into its second season, both Matt and Tim were kind enough to talk about their characters, newfound fame and their own rapport.

TheTwoCents: The two of you – Matt in particular – seem to be being talked about a lot in magazines and such these days. What’s it like for you to deal with the attention?

Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip

The Option Period & B-12

Rachel M – Associate Staff Writer

rachelm@thetwocentscorp.com

I guess I’ll lose my credibility if I tell you every episode is the best one huh? Well, I like them all so sue me! This week we’re treated to the ending of one long not good relationship and the beginning of a wonderful new one. Who’s gonna be with whom? I’m not gonna tell you just yet!

The Option Period (Original Air Date: Nov 20, 2006): Cal is running downstairs after the show, it’s one of those amazingly long shots that never breaks. He ends up in the writers room with Ricky and Ron (our villains) and we discover that a) Jessica Simpson asked us to pray for peace in the Midwest and b) Ricky and Ron sent the script to the floor in the wrong format making the show a little short on time.

So You Think You Can Dance
Top 8 Perform

Original Air Date: July 7, 2010

Rachel M – Associate Staff Writer
rachelm@thetwocentscorp.com

So this week each dancer is dancing two pairs dancers, once with an All-Star that they’ve never danced with before and once with another competitor. Since we still have all 6 boys and only 2 girls this means we will have 2 boy on boy numbers, which is super exciting! The problem of course is that everyone who is left is freaking amazing, making this a super tough competition.
