My Generation *NEW*
Premiere Date: September 23
Time: 8:00 PM ET
TwoCents Reviewer: Open
Starring: Daniella Alonso as Brenda Serrano, “The Brain”, Brooks as Rolly Marks, “The Jock”, Kelli Garner as Dawn Barbuso, “The Punk”, Jaime King as Jacqueline Vachs, “The Beauty Queen”, Julian Morris as Anders Holt, “The Rich Kid”, Keir O’Donnell as Kenneth Finley, “The Nerd”, Michael Stahl-David as Steven Foster, “The Overachiever”, Sebastian Sozzi as The Falcon, “The Rebel”, Anne Son as Caroline Chang, “The Wallflower”, Elizabeth Keener as the filmmaker
Program Description: The series follows an eclectic group of young adults whose lives were being filmed for a documentary just before their graduation from Greenbelt High School in Austin, Texas in 2000. The group includes the Overachiever, the Beauty Queen, the Nerd, the Punk, the Jock, the Brain, the Rich Kid, and the Rebel. Their hopes and dreams for the future were recorded, and as they meet up ten years later, they realize that things don’t always go as planned. The series is set in present-day with flashbacks to the past.
What We Can Expect: This is a mockumentary. That is a fake documentary used as an excuse to produce humor. This sounds hilarious. It sounds like The Office meets The Breakfast Club. We hope it lives up to that description.

Boardwalk Empire *NEW*
Premiere Date: September 19
Time: 9:00 PM ET (But it’s HBO, so it’ll be on a constant loop the rest of the night)
TwoCents Reviewer: Sara M.
Starring: Steve Buscemi as Nucky Thompson, Michael Pitt as Jimmy Darmody, Kelly Macdonald as Margaret Schroeder, Michael Shannon as Nelson Van Alden, Aleksa Palladino as Angela Darmody, Gretchen Mol as Gillian, Dabney Coleman as Louis Kaestner Michael Kenneth Williams as Chalky White.
Program Description: Atlantic City during 1920, the beginning of Prohibition. The Boardwalk is kind of like the Vegas of its day. Enoch “Nucky” Thompson (Buscemi) is the man to know in this city, he is involved in both politics and gangster activities. The show follows Nucky, his family, the crew, and rivals as they navigate their way through a new dry decade and the beginning of the roaring twenties.
What We Can Expect: The creator of the show is Terence Winter (Emmy winning Sopranos writer) and Martin Scorsese is involved as executive producer and director. With that kind of talent we’ve got high hopes. It looks like a prequel to The Sopranos, but given Scorsese’s involvement and Steve Buscemi as the star, it’s certain that they’ll find a way to make it their own.
