This week more people are in on the joke of this whole franchise (You can tell by the way they all camp it up.); Paquin’s accent is still reminiscent of pulling teeth; Eric and Lafayette get the best lines again; Jason says something oddly intelligent and the world doesn’t explode in a fiery ball of disbelief and confusion; Pam gets herself a little bit tortured, which is a crime against all things good and right in the world. Speaking of all things good and right in the world: Bill dumps Sookie’s sorry ass, Eric and Pam pin the V sales on Bill and Bill arranges to have Lorena put down as soon as possible.
In keeping with the general theme of this season, politics plays in rather largely this episode. Basically, everyone runs around trying to accomplish things, but are unable to because of things like treason and checks and balances and meanie law enforcement officials. It’s sort of like that time you went to the DMV for two hours and stood in nine lines and then had to go all the way across town to the police department because of that one stupid parking ticket and then went back to the DMV only to find they had closed early because it was a furlough day. What? Maybe that was just me then.
