Survivor: Nicaragua
Premiere Date: September 15
Time: 8:00 PM ET
TwoCents Reviewer: Ryan
Starring: Alina Wilson, Ben “Benry” Henry, Brenda Lowe, Chase Rice, Dan Lembo, Holly Hoffman, James “Jimmy T.” Tarantino, Jane Bright, Jill Behm, Jimmy Johnson, Jud Birza, Kelly Bruno, Kelly Shinn, Marty Piombo, Matthew “Sash” Lenahan, NaOnka Mixon, Shannon Elkins, Tyrone Davis, Wendy DeSmidt-Kohlhoff, Yve Rojas
Program Description: So, there’s three things to know about this season of Survivor. First, the tribes are split between the young (20 to 30) and the old (40 and up). Yes, the show is calling 40 “old.” Second, yes, Jimmy Johnson, former coach of the Dallas Cowboys, is playing. Will his hair move at all during his time on the island? Will his tribe cover the spread? Third, there’s something called a Medallion of Power which, when used, will give the tribe that uses it some advantage in a challenge. No, I don’t know, either, we’ll just have to wait and see, but, yes, it sounds dumb and unnecessary.
Where We Left Off: Russell was annoying the crap out of me. But, I believe that’s behind us and so let’s make that the last we speak of it.

Human Target
Premiere Date: October 1
Time: 8:00 PM ET
TwoCents Reviewer: Brittany Frederick
Starring: Mark Valley as Christopher Chance, Chi McBride as Laverne Winston, Jackie Earle Haley as Guerrero, Indira Varma as Ilsa Pucci, Janet Montgomery as Ames
Program Description: Based on the popular DC comic, the FOX action series revolves around security expert Christopher Chance, who integrates himself into his clients’ lives and uses any means necessary to protect them. Chance must also deal with his own past as a professional assassin. Thankfully, he has old friends Winston and Guerrero to help him, when they’re on the same side that is.
Where We Left Off: Winston had been kidnapped by Chance’s former boss, in an attempt to locate a book which everyone seemed to want, and we finally learned how he became Christopher Chance. It’s a given that Chance will rescue Winston, so the real drama is how, and how all the characters react to the events of the season finale. An even more thorny issue is the introduction of two new female characters, with the former of which the phrases “new boss” and “romantic tension” have both been used. It’s not the same show anymore, but will it change too much for fans that embraced the first season?
