Since the gang found out about Chandler and Monica (minus Ross), more than a lot has happened. Eventually, Ross confronts the two about their relationship (and gives them his blessing when he finds out it’s more than a fling), Phoebe briefly dates a cop, the famous “pivot” episode happens (I still can’t get through that one without nearly dying from laughing so hard), Rachel starts working at Ralph Lauren, Joey and Ross try to set a record for throwing a ball back and forth for hours, the gang goes to Vegas for Joey’s big break (which never happens) where Chandler and Monica can’t avoid the signs pointing towards them to get married, Ross and Rachel get married while heavily drunk, Chandler and Monica move in together, Rachel moves in with Ross but then in with Phoebe when she finds out Ross never filed their annulment papers, Ross becomes a lecturer at a university, whitens his teeth for a date (black light anyone??), Monica and Ross do their dance routine for New Year’s Rockin’ Eve, Ross goes on a date with one of Rachel’s sisters and finally, Ursula uses Phoebe’s name when she films porn.

FHEW. That’s a LOT of stuff! Continue reading

So it’s winter in TV land, but I’m sweating like crazy in my corner of world. A little coconut snow will make all the difference in the world I think!

The Christmas Show: Ah, Christmas in July! We begin with Jordan and Danny in the waiting room at the ob/gyn. In their way, they are having a fight, mostly about why Danny who is neither the husband/boyfriend or the father is even there. Matt, has the spirit of Christmas in him (as the only Jew in the writers room), and so the writers are forced into writing a Christmas show, much to their chagrin. While Cal and Matt discuss the availability of snow in LA, Danny tells them about Jordan.

Betty White to Guest Star on Community

white schools community

The Hot streak continues (see what I did there.)

Continuing the magical comeback journey, NBC has announced that former Golden Girl and current Hot in Cleveland star Betty White will guest star on the season premiere of Community. White will play June Bauer, an esteemed, but slightly unhinged anthropology professor.

My Two Cents
: I’ve been a fan of White’s forever, and although some might say her being everywhere is overkill, I would have to disagree. White is a legend, and still has the timing back it up. With talent like that, she can appear anywhere she wants. After all, she’s earned it.

Do you think White will be a good fit on Community?

So You Think You Can Dance
Top 7 Perform

So Alex went home last week due to injury, instead of talent. But really everyone left in the competition is top notch. It’s luck of the draw on partner and style, since we all know they’re gonna work their little butts off. There’s only seven left, that’s crazy!

Cat looks super cute tonight! Super cute dress in a fun print, and a lovely side braid, great accessories. Yay! On to the dancers – Ashley is injured this week, so she’s in the bottom. Alex is still in the hospital after his surgery to repair his Achilles tendon.

The Mighty Boosh – Summer DVD Review – Nanagedon

Nanagedon

I’d be hard pressed to pick a favorite Bosh episode, but Nanagedon is in the top three. Maybe the top two. Not only is it the cross-dressing and the demon nanas, but the music is great, and we have women on the show. Boosh is a bit of a boy’s club, but Dee Plume and Sue Demin are the token chicks. Sure, Dee was Noel’s girlfriend back then, and Sue is her band-mate, but Boosh has a history with bringing in their friends for supporting roles instead of actors. This is the second episode in the series which includes Plume and Denim. I think the use of the boys’ real life friends and family is part of what gives this show its charm. So here we go on an episode in which Vince’s latest fashion choice (goth) winds up getting the boys into a hairy situation!

Rescue Me – Recap & Review – Comeback

Rescue Me
Comeback

Tommy is coming back to work – and he’s SOBER. Will it last? And what about everyone else? Lou has something going on with him (health issues most likely), Franco has some kind of “thing” going on with Janet, Colleen is out of control, Sheila wants Damien off the job (and won’t leave him alone … and after his big save, he’s not going anywhere!), and the rest of the guys just want to keep the house open.

On top of that, we still haven’t figured out how long it’s really been since Tommy was shot and we’re not even 100% sure what kind of world he’s living in or if he’s living at all. Three episodes down, 19 more to go for the show we’ve grown to love.

Well, we finally got to watch the highly anticipated Covert Affairs and I, for one, am very pleased with it. USA has another quality show on its hands, do you agree?
We start out meeting Annie Walker (Piper Perabo) taking a polygraph for admission to the CIA. She just got dumped by some guy that she had a 3 week fling with and fell in love, but he left her high and dry with just a note saying “The truth is complicated”. The CIA wants to know if she can keep her personal life separate from the CIA life, she says yes, of course. And this is where is all begins.

Yep, that plane really did blow up, and yes, Kate Moreau really is dead. Conspiracy theorists, you can relax now. The important question as we open season two of White Collar is where do we go from here?

Thankfully, the catastrophe isn’t without its proper fallout. The FBI is grilling Peter about the plane explosion and the conspiracy, while Neal is back behind bars, still trying to cope with the death of the woman he thought was his true love. As if that wasn’t enough, a bank robber known only as “The Architect” is keeping New York on its toes. Sounds like our guys need to get to work, STAT!

Sam is getting comfortable in 1973. Taking pleasure in a simple raid on a no-tell motel. But his comfort is lost when a possible way home presents itself. It’s a very domestic episode this week. Including more with Gene’s daughter/Sam’s new bedmate and Annie gets a glimpse into Ray’s home life.

All this talk of home leads one to wonder, how close is Sam to getting back to 2008?
