Anyone remember UNAGI?! Sorry I had to skip over that great moment in Friends history, but there were just too many great moments to choose from … I even had to skip over other moments since I last left you, including Chandler and Monica’s horrible Valentine’s Day exchange, Ross dating Elizabeth (his student) and Rachel dating her dad (awesome guest star Bruce Willis aka “the man”!), Phoebe and Rachel’s apartment burning down (in turn having Rachel moving in with Joey and Phoebe with Monica), Joey acting opposite a robot in Mac & C.H.E.E.S.E., the moment Chandler realizing he wants to propose to Monica (with the message from the museum about the wedding date), THE PROPOSAL!!!!, the “Nestle Toulouse” cookies, Rachel dating Tag, Joey and Ross napping together, the Holiday Armadillo, the one where everyone turns 30 and Joey getting a new brain on Days of Our Lives.

So now everyone is preparing for Monica and Chandler’s big day and one question is still on everyone’s mind: how did they end up together? That all comes out in The One With The Truth About London.

Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip – Summer DVD Review – The Harriet Dinner Part I & The Harriet Dinner Part II

The Harriet Dinner Part 1 & The Harriet Dinner Part II

Rachel M – Associate Staff Writer
rachelm@thetwocentscorp.com

So it turns out I’ve been spelling Harriet wrong this whole time, sorry about that. We’re in the midst of a number of problems, Matt is trying to fight off Harriet’s new man by bidding on an auction to be her date, Jack is trying to fight off the FCC and use Zhang to do it, and Danny is fighting for Jordan despite her wish that he would stop.

The Harriet Dinner Part I (Original Air Date, Jan 27, 2007) – So Jack goes to Tom to tell him of his requirement to take Kim to the dinner honoring Harriet (the same one that Matt’s bidding on). Tom has to break his date with Lucy to do so, so that’s going to go well. So instead of telling her the truth, he makes something up, which backfires when she gets invited to the dinner and sees Tom there with Kim. Kim ends up getting trashed drunk and is hanging all over Tom.

Need To Know

Original Air Date: July 20, 2010

Hey, White Collar fans! Sorry this one’s late, but I was off at Comic-Con interviewing our lovely cast. Stay tuned for a report next week, but now we’ll finally sink our teeth into this season’s crackling second ep: about a (shocker) corrupt politician.

Peter and Diana are waiting for Fowler’s top-secret meeting. A mystery dude shows up and runs off before they can stop him or even so much as identify him. The next morning, Neal and The Hat meet an exhausted Peter to discuss the corruption surrounding state senator Gary Jennings (even Mozzie voted for him). His assistant thinks that he’s getting some illegal money into his campaign, and Peter is going to put Neal on the inside to find out. Neal’s idea is to make Peter the bad cop, and himself the solution to all Jennings’ problems.

The Mighty Boosh – Summer DVD Review – The Legend of Old Gregg

The Mighty Boosh
The Legend of Old Gregg

Original Air Date: Aug 23, 2005

Oh, Old Gregg. Old Gregg has to be one of the most iconic characters in the Boosh. There is more Gregg cosplay at Boosh events than other characters, from what I’ve witnessed, and fans scream their heads off when Gregg walks on stage at live shows. I think part of his popularity is that he’s just so strange, even in the Boosh universe. Sure, we have foxes addicted to crack and men made out of cheese, but Gregg… Gregg is a work of art all his own. He’s neither male nor female, man nor fish. And he’s got The Funk.

Yeah, he’s one of those characters that regularly gets the Boosh boys accused of having written the show on drugs. So let’s get down to it.

So first of all let me just say that I was diggin the opening credits this week. I wondered what the theme song was and how it would open since last week they didn’t really have one. Very cool with animated and real mixed in…very cool.
So we start out with Annie and the gang moving into a new office and she gets the assignment of the “walkins”. People that claim to have knowledge for the CIA. Wackjobs if you ask me… a few of them I think I work with.

Huge – Recap & Review – Talent Night

Huge
Talent Night

Original Air Date – Jul 19, 2010

Anne – TwoCents Reviewer

Back to camp we go! It’s Talent Night at Camp Victory! We had a talent show at my camp, too. A few of us did a routine to Samantha Fox’s song, “Naughty Girls Need Love Too”, but we changed it to “chubby girls”. I don’t remember all the lyrics, but I have them written down somewhere at my parent’s house. This episode was a bit less campy than some other ones.

The kids are all excited after Dr. Rand announces that Friday night is Talent Night! Except for Will. Do you sense a pattern here?!? She does her routine complaining, looks in her bag and runs off.

Sam is a torn man. He’s homesick for 2008 but 1973 is becoming more and more appealing. This episode is all about connections. Mainly the connections you make with those around you. Angry members of the Weather Underground are blowing up Gene’s retired cop buddies. And he might be next, Sam will have realize that for better or worse, he is forming bonds in ’73 and they’re going to be tested in a big way.

Therapy is still a bit of a questionable field in the early 70s. Especially for a man and a cop. But there Sam is, explaining a dream to his doctor. In his dream, Sam is making his way through the 125-homicide department; everyone is frozen in place while Rocket Man plays in the background. The doctor suggests that he needs to get past his homesickness and live in the moment. Begin to make connections with those around him, let someone break through the emotional walls that he’s been building.

Dolph Lundgren to Guest Star on Chuck

"I'll break you!"

As Chuck begins fliming, Zap2it reports that the super spy show has already lined up its first guest star: Dolph Lundgren (Rocky IV, the upcoming “The Expendables”.)

“Yes it’s true,” co-creator Josh Schwartz stated via Twitter. “Dolph Lundgren to try and ‘break’ Chuck Bartowski in [the] Season 4 premiere.”

Details are scarce, but given the statement made by Schwartz, we could see a new nemesis in the making.

My Two Cents: Lundgren as a villain? Now that is something worth watching. Heck, I would even watch if he was a good guy. But you can’t deny that “Chuck vs. Ivan Drago” has a nice ring to it.

What roles would you like to see Lundgren play?

Sorry for the delay in the recap … but I need to be “rescued” myself from some craziness! Tommy and the gang are up to some antics this week. Lou’s eating habits finally caught up with him last week and he dropped to the ground after a long day, the guys were trying to figure out how to save their house, Franco was still getting a bit too close to “Jan Jan,” Colleen took up drinking wine with Tommy instead of “booze,” Sean and Mike are trying to good deeds to keep the house open and Damien loves being a firefighter – still.

So this week the guys are going to try to break Lou out of the hospital. Will it work? And why? Let the guy rest!

Firefly – Summer DVD Recap & Review – Jaynestown

Jaynestown

Original Air Date: Oct 18, 2002

Maria – TwoCents Reviewer

“The hero of Canton, the man we call Jayne!”

Such a catchy little ditty, a gem inside a tightly written story which moves from comedy to tragedy in the same breath, well paced and well performed, and in my mind one of the best episodes of anything there is out there. Don’t believe me?

Instead of giving a linear account (it would be too tempted to quote the whole script if I did), I will try and summarize it with what happens to whom: Jayne, Mal, Wash, Kaylee and Simon are down on Canton posing as buyers of mud whilst they secretly extract cargo. Shepherd Book is looking after River Tam on Serenity whilst Zoe keeps an eye on the ship. Inara is doing her job, having been requested to sleep with Fess, the son of the bully Magistrate who is so mean to the workers of Canton.
