This week starts with Jack and Dan (wearing shirts that might blind me in their brightness) investigating a vandalized electronics store mascot. Exactly the kind of thing drunk college students might do.At the same time, a drugstore – which may be the same one from “Broken Door Theory” – is being robbed by a pair of yokels who really don’t know what they just stole.

Which of these is more interesting? Yep, but Jack and Dan don’t have that kind of cred. Our boys go out on a stakeout to protect the mascot, by which I mean they get drunk together. Six beers, a bucket of wings and four shots later, Dan is impersonating a mobster. Only on this show could these three things come together at all.

The Greatest American Hero – Summer DVD Review – Dreams

This episode should be titled “How Not To Be An Effective Super Hero” or “Ralph Is Such A Sap and It Will Likely Be His Downfall”. Either way.

We’re at the California State Prison this week, San Quinton, to be exact. Inmate 67894 is having a parole hearing to determine if he’s getting out. The inmate has gone all religious and wants to get out to form a church. The inmate had one time confessed to seeing a man fly but now says he was just joking.

My So-Called Life – Summer DVD Review – Life of Brian

“I became yearbook photographer because I liked the idea that I could sort of watch life without having to be part of it. But when you’re yearbook photographer, you’re like, never in the picture.” This episode is told entirely from the perspective of nerdy neighbor genius, Brian Krakow. Brian is played by Devon Gummersall, one of my favorites as anyone reading these or my Drop Dead Diva reviews knows.

The first thing we find out is that Brian’s parents are a behavior psychologist and a Freudian psychiatrist, and therefore in opposite schools of thought. He envies Angela’s “normal” life, which he doesn’t think could possibly be filled with the constant analysis he is subjected to.

Who is coming up with these super lame design challenges? Designing a one-bedroom apartment for Trump Plaza Residences in New Jersey is an excellent challenge. But who decided they had to take garish souvenirs and incorporate them in a luxury setting? So, so lame.

TBS’s girl, beer, and boys comedy returned last night with a two episode block after an exceptionally long (14 months!) hiatus. Long ago, we were left wondering how PJ and Bobby would continue to grow as a couple and with the shocker that sworn enemies Stephanie and Kenny were becoming a couple!

How has our gang changed in real or TV time? How are Kenny and Stephanie adapting to each other? What are Brendan, Mike, and Andy up to? Hey, wait a minute where’s Andy?

True Bood – Recap & Review – I Got A Right To Sing The Blues

Sookie gets herself out of one hot spot just to land in another, Alcide has still (blessedly) not been introduced to the concept of clothes, Eric continues to be James Bond, Bill continues to be Edgar Allen Poe and Tara finally remembers how weak she isn’t.

To sum up what’s happening in Bon Temps, because the real action is in Mississippi, I give you a montage: Lafayette and Jesus share a really cute kiss, but when some rednecks show up to assault the innocent new car, Lafayette loses his cool and Jesus, having learned of the V sales, demands to be taken home immediately in protest of immorality. Jason visits Hotshot to give Crystal flowers after she totally ran off the night before, but her fiancé brother cousin (okay, I’m only guessing he’s her brother) runs Jason off. Sam tries to get some information out of Tommy about how weird and creepy Joe Lee is, but Tommy won’t fess up and Melinda convinces Tommy to come home, which is going to lead to the seriously screwed up reveal next week. Jessica and Arlene snip back and forth at each other because Arlene is afraid of everything and Jessica is annoyed by everything and they’re pretty funny doing it. Also, Jessica manages to bite someone without killing her, which is sort of like the first time you ride a bike with no training wheels. So proud!

Prequel Movie for Burn Notice

bruce campbell

Is a prequel on the horizon for Burn Notice? According to Deadline’s Nellie Andreeva, USA announced this weekend Burn Notice is getting a movie. The film will not focus on the shows current star Jeffrey Donovan, but rather on ex-Navy Seal Sam Axe. The movie will follow the exploits of Axe, played by horror movie icon Bruce Campbell, as a Special Forces soldier.

Bruce Campbell got his start working on director Sam Raimi’s  Evil Dead in 1981. Reprising the role of Ash in Evil Dead 2 and Army of Darkness, Campbell attained the status of a cult horror film star. Campbell also wrote and autobiography titled My Name is Bruce, which he released in 2007.

USA Network’s President of Original Programming Jeff Wachtel made the announcement during Comic-Con in San Diego this past week. And for those of you out there hoping for Axe to get his own spin-off, sorry. Wachtel stated that the prequel is being developed as an original movie, not a pilot for a new series.

Entourage – Recap & Review – Tequila Sunrise

Farrah Kaye – Sr. Editor

This week promises to be nothing short of great. Turtle has gone down to Mexico with former crush Alex to learn about a “business deal” while Drama has a meeting with his hopeful co-star, John Stamos (which we know won’t go well because, well, let’s be honest here … it’s Drama!). Scotty is still being sneaky with Vince, E is jealous and suspicious, Ari is putting together his football team and dealing with the loss of what could have been one of the greatest assets to his team (Lizzie) and Vince is, well, he’s around being naive.

Oh and if you’re wondering where Shauna went? She’s over on the Disney Channel working with the Jonas Brothers. I kid you not.

Okay, so I know that I’m a 23 year old, but I truly look forward to Sunday nights just to spend a half hour with Miley and her gang. This week was no exception. This episode of Hannah Montana offered everything from corny acting, to love, to another crazy Miley scheme. Let’s dive in…

Robby Ray is in a funk. He spends his Saturday nights in his gray sweats, rolling quarters, and watching The Bachelorette. Miley realizes that it’s time for him to get out of his funk. She attempts to set him up with some single moms at her school until she realizes that there aren’t any. She then realizes that the school nurse, Lori, is single and cute.

Babylon 5
War Without End I

Original Air Date: May 13, 1996

Aeon Cole – TwoCents Reviewer
aeon@thetwocentscorp.com

This is the sixteenth episode of the third season. This episode is tied to the episode Babylon Squared from season one. The last Shadow war a thousand years ago nearly ended in defeat when the Minbari space station being used as a command center was destroyed by Shadow forces. Shortly thereafter, a replacement arrived out of nowhere.

On Minbar Rathenn approaches a hooded figure calling him Entel’zar. He holds out a box and explains, “The ancient books told us that on this day we were to enter the sanctuary and open this.” The box had sat unopened for over 900 years. He opens the box revealing an envelope with the name Jeffery Sinclair written on it. Rathenn says, “How did he know you would be here?” The other man pulls back his hood showing his face. It’s Sinclair.
