Jennifer Grey To Guest Star on “House”

jennifer grey

Michael Ausiello of EW reports that Jennifer Grey of Dirty Dancing fame will guest star on House this Fall.

Her character will be Abbey, a mother who shows signs of having a life threatening disease (shocker!). She’ll have to make a perilous decision regarding her infant daughter. I sure hope she doesn’t have to give baby to a coroner. Ugh, yeah. I’m sorry.

Anyway, you can read more about it HERE.

Comic-Con 2010: White Collar

The con has spread to San Diego! On the heels of its first-season success, USA’s sophomore series White Collar made its inaugural appearance at San Diego Comic-Con.

I had the chance to interview almost the entire main cast, as Tim DeKay (Peter Burke), Matt Bomer (Neal Caffrey), Marsha Thomason (Diana Berrigan), Sharif Atkins (Clinton Jones) and Willie Garson (Mozzie) all dropped by to share their thoughts on the show’s success and upcoming season. At least, as much as they were able to tell…

Willie Garson (Mozzie)
What’s coming up for the show in terms of the overall arc with the investigation into the plane explosion at the end of season one? We try to weave a little of the mythology into every episode. With the music box, and if Kate’s dead, I guess we’re not supposed to say that she’s dead…I can tell you something major is going to happen at our mid-season finale. That’s all I can tell you.

So You Think You Can Dance – Recap & Review – Top 5 Perform (Again)

So You Think You Can Dance
Top 5 Perform

Original Air Date: Jul 28, 2010

No I haven’t lost my mind again. This week it’s supposed the Top 5 Perform, but last week the judges took the easy way out and kept everyone (and this is after two weeks of not having to make a decision because of injuries). So we still have six dancers, and this week, two dancers will be eliminated. At least that’s what’s supposed to happen. In the opening bit, Billy is wearing a knee brace, but he’s dancing, it seems everyone is mobile this week.

Cat’s outfit- cute! I don’t love the bagginess around the waist, but I’m willing to forgive it since it’s overall a cute look. I like her hair and makeup too. I really like her in a one-shoulder number as she’s got great arms.

On to the dancing please!

Comic-Con 2010: Burn Notice

What a difference a day makes. The press room for USA’s hit series Burn Notice was buzzing with the recently-announced news that the network has greenlit the development of a prequel TV-movie to focus on Sam’s (Bruce Campbell) days before he reunited with Michael (Jeffrey Donovan).

Series creator Matt Nix, executive producer Alfredo Barrios Jr., panel moderator/guest star Chris Vance (who played bad guy Gilroy), frequent director/guest star Tim Matheson (better known as crazy spy Larry), and Campbell himself sat down with us at Comic-Con to discuss the movie, the fourth season, and where they might go with a fifth.

Tim Matheson (Director/Larry)

Anything you can tell us about the prequel movie? We were all backstage and [Jeff] Wachtel [from USA] just said, “We can announce it.” That was like a total surprise. I know nothing about it. I think it’s a great idea. It’ll be very successful and fun.

Comic-Con 2010: The Merchandise Report

By now, you’ve survived the madness that is San Diego Comic-Con 2010. Sure, there were some pretty cool panels, and some great celebrity appearances, but what you came home with was a ton of interesting stuff. In case you missed something, here’s my guide to some of the most interesting swag at the con and where you can find it now.

One of the cool giveaways came right in the door, with Warner Bros. giving out giant tote bags to every attendee. The bags spotlighted a number of WB properties, among them TV series like Human Target, Chuck, Fringe, Nikita, Supernatural, Vampire Diaries and Big Bang Theory. The only way to get one of these so far is to pick one up on eBay, but they’re worth it. Not only do they look impressive, but they hold a ton of stuff. (And yes, I have the Human Target bag. You expected anything else?)

Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip – Summer DVD Review – The Friday Night Slaughter & 4 AM Miracle

The Friday Night Slaughter & 4 AM Miracle

Original Air Date: Feb 12, 2007

So Matt and Harriet are really, really broken up. Danny and Jordan are together. Oh, and there’s a live television show to produce, we should probably pay attention to that too!

The Friday Night Slaughter (Original Air Date, Feb 12, 2007) – This show is pivotal to the arc of the whole series. Matt, in the aftermath of Harriet (and after his surgery from episode 1) has become dependent on painkillers. A guest musician helps his addiction out and teaches him how to hide it. He’s having flashbacks to his first years at Studio 60, before he had sketches getting on the air, he remembers a guy named “Tim” who got fired for taking pills, and Matt got promoted to a real office. It’s also the introduction of Matt and Harriet, as well as the introduction of the elephant that will come between them for years to come, her religion.

Baldwin Joins NBC’s Parenthood

baldwin

Don’t worry 30 Rock fans, it’s not THAT Baldwin.

NBC announced that William Baldwin (“Dirty Sexy Money,” “Gossip Girl”) will join the cast of the network’s returning drama “Parenthood” (Tuesdays, 10-11 p.m. ET) for a multiple-episode arc.

Baldwin will be playing Gordon Flint, Adam’s (Peter Krause) wealthy, charismatic boss. Gordon is content to let Adam do the grunt work of running the company, preferring to spend his time thinking about the “big picture.”

MasterChef – Recap & Review – Auditions Part One

MasterChef
Auditions Part One

Original Air Date: Jul 27, 2010

MasterChef was first introduced in 1990 on the BBC. Since then, it has gone on to produce multiple incarnations, first in Australia and New Zealand, and now in Norway, France, Finland, Greece, and America (among others). This year’s American incarnation is hosted by Gordon Ramsay, whose claim to fame in America includes Hell’s Kitchen and Ramsay’s Kitchen Nightmares. Oh, and he’s also infamous for having a fiery temper and yelling and cursing at people on TV.

My good friend said that reviewing this show should be easy: “Gordon said the F word at them sixteen times and then walked out.” We’ll see if she’s right.
