Completing the trio of USA Network series, the channel’s longest running original program joined us at San Diego Comic-Con to talk about it’s fifth season. Producers Steve Franks, Kelly Kulchak and Chris Henze, along with cast members James Roday (Shawn Spencer), Maggie Lawson (Juliet O’Hara), Tim Omundson (Carlton Lassiter) and Kirsten Nelson (Chief Karen Vick) all sat down to talk about season five…and even a little about season six!

Kirsten Nelson (Chief Karen Vick)
With Henry working in the police department now, has that changed your role on the show at all? With Henry in the office now, it’s a very different police station. So we don’t see as much of the hands-on Chief with the boys, because that’s now been delegated to Henry.

Ellen Follows Simon Off of Idol

Ellen DeGeneres has decided to bow out from her role as a judge on AMERICAN IDOL next season. DeGeneres served as a judge during the ninth season of IDOL, the No. 1 hit series on television.

“A couple months ago, I let FOX and the AMERICAN IDOL producers know that this didn’t feel like the right fit for me,” said DeGeneres. “I told them I wouldn’t leave them in a bind and that I would hold off on doing anything until they were able to figure out where they wanted to take the panel next.

Royal Pains – Recap & Review – The Hankover

Royal Pains
The Hankover

Original Air Date – Jul 29, 2010

This week in the Hamptons, the Hankover! This is, by far, the funniest episode of Royal Pains that I have seen so far. And I’ve seen them all. There are misunderstandings, hijinks, secrets revealed and shenanigans! And a huge dose of karma. Let’s jump right in.

All of our main players wake up in various strange locations after what must have been a great night. Hank & Emily (!) wake up in the hammock in Boris’ yard. They discuss that they slept together the night before. Suddenly a patient comes running up with a very bruised and swollen bloody nose, yelling at Hank that he’d made it worse. Divya & Jill wake up in the back of a taxi and compare tattoos. Divya has a small flower on her hip and Jill has a bigger flower on her shoulder. Evan wakes up on a chaise lounge next to one of Boris’ balconies over the front patio. He runs out to look over the balcony and Raj is lying there bleeding! Evan runs to get Hank. He exclaims, “The stripper stole my van and I think I killed Raj!”

Burn Notice – Recap & Review – Where There’s Smoke

Burn Notice
Where There’s Smoke

It’s a bad idea to have Fiona as an enemy. If you’re Michael, Sam, or a group of Mexican kidnappers, she’s the wrong person to mess with. This week that fact rings truer than ever before. While she and Sam work a small security assignment, Jesse and Michael tap Maddie for help with a job of their own. But everything is disrupted when Fi is taken captive.

But let’s face it: if anyone can get out of a situation like this, it’s Fiona. Sam puts it best, “Where there’s smoke, there’s Fi.”

So You Think You Can Dance – Recap & Review – 1 of 5 Voted Off

So You Think You Can Dance
1 of 5 Voted Off (Sort of)

Original Air Date: July 29, 2010

So last week the judges bailed on the tough decision and so this week two contestants are going home. I have two in mind, but I really have no idea who is going home. And then we’re down to just four!! And then it’s over! Eeek! Speaking of eek- that’s what I said when I saw Cat’s outfit. When we pan back I can see the merit, but it’s still a lot 80’s for me. I can appreciate the fun spirit with which it was intended, but I think it misses.

The group number tonight is…fun. Lauren is absent due to dehydration last night, so it’s all the boys (including the All Stars) and Allison. It’s a Mia Michaels routine, which doesn’t surprise me. I think I want to watch it again as there was a lot going on and the male dancers were hard to tell apart, but overall a good fun routine.

Time for another great episode of Hot In Cleveland. I can’t believe there are only three more episodes before the show is back in January. The summer has gone so fast!

I am just so tickled pink that the show is doing so well. People are talking about it everywhere. On Facebook there are fan pages and a lot of people are tweeting about it. And I get to write about it every week! Let’s get started on “It’s Not That Complicated!”

The girls are gathered to say goodbye to Melanie, who is off to see her daughter in a play. Victoria calls to her that her taxi is here. Melanie stumbles on the steps and says,”Puppy tails!” Victoria teases her for being a potty mouth. Immediately after Mel leaves, Tim Conway shows up at the door.

Ah, the folly of youth. Little Shawn, Little Gus, and their caped, bespectacled friend Dennis storm into the police station in 1990 to find proof of UFOs, and get chased right back out by Henry. Surely they’ll outgrow this…

They aren’t the only ones who believe in aliens. Wealthy lawyer Roy witnesses his colleague Toby getting abducted one night. Now, where could he find some investigators who would take the case seriously?

Season 7 wrapped up with Monica and Chandler’s wedding and bits of humor inserted along the way (including Rachel kissing a former sorority sister, Joey using rolled bologna during a movie role, Monica’s non-bridal shower bridal shower, Ross and Monica’s super hot cousin and Chandler and Monica going to see Chandler’s dad). On a serious note, Chandler thought Monica was pregnant and was MIA on their wedding day but came through at the last minute, more excited than ever at the thought of being a husband and dad – only Monica wasn’t pregnant … it’s Rachel!

Although Phoebe pretended to be pregnant, Monica figured it out and Rachel swears them to secrecy until she can tell the father, however she won’t tell anyone who it is. So who is the father? We find out in The One With The Red Sweater.
