This week’s revelation: Diane Farr is dating Mozzie. Really. (Hey, if she dated Larry on Numb3rs…) Also, she may have been kidnapped, so it’s Neal to the rescue! Admit it, Matt Bomer would make a great superhero.

He tracks down Mozzie’s alleged girlfriend Gina’s home address, and he and Mozzie arrive to find out the place has been trashed. Neal reluctantly agrees to go in and investigate, and then Peter gets tipped off by the new agent that Neal is poking around. Elizabeth helpfully informs her husband that’s Mozzie’s new girlfriend, and the lightbulb goes on over Agent Burke’s head.

Sienna Guillory Adding Sizzle to CSI: Crime Scene Investigation Cast

C.S.I. B.A.B.E.

More news on CSI cast change-ups for the 2010 fall season. As we know, Marg Helgenberger will be leaving her role of Catherine Willows behind and show producers are quick to find a replacement. Express’s Mike Parker reports that actor Sienna Guillory will be joining the cast of CSI: Crime Scene Investigation.

Sienna Guillory will join the cast in the role of Kacey Monohan, the team’s new B.A.B.E. — which stands for Ballistics, Arson, Bombs, and Explosives technician; Guillory will be adding sex and sizzle to the team.

You may remember Sienna Guillory from 2004’s Resident Evil: Apocalypse. Guillory will also appear in September of this year in Resident Evil: Afterlife, reprising her role of Jill Valentine. She also appeared in two episodes of Criminal Minds and a failed pilot for Ronald D. Moore’s (Battlestar Galactica), TV show, Virtuallity in 2009.

My Two Cents: With many of the original characters leaving the show, is it time CBS to pack it in and focus their attention on beefing up the Miami and the New York franchises? Or, will adding the sexy Sienna Guillory to the cast keep the series alive? Let us know what you think.

Bones Meets Jersey Shore

how will the situation meet bones?

According to Entertainment Weekly, Bones will have a Jersey Shore-themed episode next season, including having one of the MTV reality show’s stars as the main guest star.

Michael “The Situation” Sorrentino has been asked to guest star on the hit FOX show in an episode in which Booth and Brennan will have to dive deep in to the fist-pumping “guido” world. As of right now, it is unsure what kind of character he will play or the specifics of the plot.

Star of the show Emily Deschanel says of the possible episode, “Brennan anthropologically studies them and knows the lingo and the behavior. [She’s] down with the whole guido stuff.”

My Two Cents: Personally, I’m on Jersey and Jersey Shore overload thanks to reality television. But it should be interesting to see what scripted television’s take will be on it. As well, it should also be interesting to start seeing more of reality stars start hitting the acting circuit as they usually do after their shows end.

What do you think? Should reality “stars” stay on reality television? Are you looking forward to watching the scripted take on the Jersey Shore? Leave your two cents below!

Huge – Recap & Review – Spirit Quest

Huge
Spirit Quest

Original Air Date – Aug 2, 2010

Anne – TwoCents Reviewer
anne@thetwocentscorp.com

Time to go camping in the woods tonight on Huge! They call it their Spirit Quest. The episode opens to church service and Will and Ian talking about how he’s Jewish, so clearly this is an episode about spirituality. Ian complains about Trent and calls him his stalker. Will kids him about Trent wanting a bromance with him. Salty whispers something to Dorothy and she puts Poppy in charge of church and goes to find George.

Shay was supposed to lead the Quest, but has a family emergency and recommends George lead it. He’s somewhat flustered, but gung-ho about it. Poppy accompanies him, but is jealous that she wasn’t asked. She says that when she was a camper, Dr. Rand led the Quest and it changed her life.

Lie to Me – Recap & Review – Headlock

Lie to Me
Headlock

Original Air Date – Aug 2, 2010

Anne – TwoCents Reviewer

Tonight we deal with the hidden world of fight club. The first rule of fight club is that there is no fight club. But I will do my best to recap and review this episode anyway! Cal is caught up to his elbows in the details of this case. Hang on, it’s going to be a bumpy ride!

We open on a secret fight club, Cal is there and can see who’s going to win by the fighter’s movements. Later, he helps the winner stumble to his car. Cal takes his keys and the man stumbles. A witness thinks Cal was roughing the guy up and asks if everything is ok. Cal assures him that it is, so the witness goes inside. Cal offers the fighter a ride, but the fighter wants to take the bus. As Cal drives away, the bus driver will not allow the guy on the bus. He goes back to his car and gets shot three times. The witness from earlier comes back out and sees the man lying in a puddle of blood. Uh oh! This won’t be good for Lightman!

My Two Cents – What Happened To Serial Drama?

Brittany Frederick – Staff Writer
brittanyfrederick@thetwocentscorp.com

Hey, remember when it was all the rage to have a serial drama on TV? I do! That used to be cool. Problem is, it’s not so cool anymore.

When I was growing up, the first show I was ever really into was Law & Order. That was my childhood, watching A&E reruns and later NBC originals of Law & Order. At one point, I thought I’d become a criminal prosecutor because of that show. I thought it was pretty darn cool. Not only did we get the bad guy arrested, but we got to see them put on trial, and by the end of the episode, the story was pretty much wrapped up in a neat little package. Of course, I had no idea how formulaic that was.

As I got older, my tastes changed. I became bored with the same thing week after week, especially when I could start to figure it out within the first 15 minutes. I wanted something that I could really sink my teeth into. This was during the years that cliffhangers were cool. Wow, we could actually do the same story over more than one week! Sure, it was pretty infuriating by the end of the first hour, but those extra 42 minutes the next week could make for some compelling storytelling. Still, you only saw those once in a blue moon. Some shows tried to stretch subplots over multiple episodes, but mostly, one-off television was still the norm.

Comic-Con 2010: Leverage

TNT’s Leverage is a phenomenon. I can say that because the show was announced as appearing at Comic-Con only five days before the convention and the cast still appeared to a huge crowd. After the fact, series co-creator Chris Downey, along with cast members Timothy Hutton (Nate), Beth Riesgraf (Parker), Christian Kane (Eliot) and Aldis Hodge (Hardison), as well as guest star Wil Wheaton (Chaos), dropped in to discuss…well, just about everything!

Comic-Con 2010: Human Target

Now we get to the best part of Comic-Con 2010 (for me, anyway): my favorite series, FOX’s action-packed Human Target. With its perfect ensemble cast, cracking wit and Emmy-nominated stunt sequences, the show survived to fight into a second season – but not without some changes. Still, at least we’re getting our Chance back. I sat down with series star (and my hero) Mark Valley (Christopher Chance) and co-star Chi McBride (Laverne Winston), and also had the opportunity to talk candidly with new executive producer Matthew Miller about what’s going on behind the scenes and what it means for Chance and Co.

Watch this space for an analysis of the Season 2 moves and my opinion on where the show is headed…but on to interviews with my favorite creative team. (SPOILER ALERT: These interviews contain plot spoilers for episodes in season two.)

My Two Cents: The Return of Human Target…Or Is It?

There’s no bigger fan of Human Target than I am. When my nickname is “unofficial president of the Human Target fan club” and the first thing friends I haven’t seen in months say to me is “I thought of you when I heard Human Target got renewed,” it became pretty obvious. This is a show I embrace and have supported staunchly since the pilot. Naturally, when a battle for its renewal ensued, I dug my heels in although I worried. When changes behind the scenes began to be announced, I worried more. What was happening to my show? I decided to use my press pass to do some investigating and find out. Chance would be proud.

Here’s a scorecard to all the changes you can expect in the second season of Human Target, and whether or not I think they’ll make the grade. (SPOILER ALERT: This article does contain spoilers for parts of season two.)

The Good Guys – Recap & Review – Don’t Tase Me, Bro

I’ve always found tasers to be hilarious. It probably has something to do with the fact that my best friend bought me one for my sixteenth birthday (as a self-defense aid, he said). Then again, it’s probably also funny because I’ve never been tasered. Unfortunately, Jack Bailey is not so lucky.
