The One With The Donor

Season nine of Friends was the most serious we have seen (yet still funny). With our favorite gang all grown up and dealing with real problems, we dove deep into all kinds of issues, such as Rachel’s insecurity about raising Emma alone (and agreeing to Joey’s non-proposal which threw her and Ross’ relationship into an awkward spiral for a bit), Phoebe in her most serious relationship ever (with the adorable Paul Rudd) which had to end when he told her he didn’t believe in marriage, Rachel moving out of Ross’ apartment and in with Joey, Chandler transferring to Oklahoma, Joey and Rachel dealing with feelings for each other, and the most serious of all – Chandler and Monica deciding to have a baby, only to find out it wouldn’t happen for them naturally. They first decided to try surrogacy, which brings us to this episode, The One With The Donor (played by the amazing John Stamos).

So You Think You Can Dance
Top 4 Perform

Original Air Date: Aug 4, 2010

Rachel M – Associate Staff Writer

Final Four!! Kent, the adorable farm boy with the dance chops of a city boy; Adechicke, the powerful man with a magnetic smile; Robert, the sweet underdog; and Lauren, the remaining girl who can dance with the boys and maybe beat them. So who’s going to take home the big prize on this season that has been full of so many twists and turns?

Cat’s outfit. Well, I like the faux bob hairstyle (it could be a little smoother but I’ll let it pass). I like the dress too, even if it is a little cabaret. I really like her lipstick though, it really brightens up her face!

So last week we got part one of the auditions. This week we get part two. Shocking, isn’t it? But with over half of the MasterChef aprons having already been given out, the tension level is getting high. Even the judges had their arguments this week, which was definitely fun to watch.

So lets take a look at who shined and got an apron, and who failed on last night’s episode.

Deadliest Catch – Thoughts on Season 6

For the previous 5 seasons of Discovery’s wildly popular Deadliest Catch, all of us got used to the idea of the risk of death and remembrance of those who were lost at sea. It seems that every season has had a rescue (or attempted rescue) and there is always that moment of silence when you hear bad news. We see it on the faces of all of the Captains as we go through the fleet. And if you’re like me, you occasionally asked yourself if something would happen to any of the people we’ve got to know so well on the show.

Sadly, we all heard the terrible news on February 9th, 2010 when Captain Phil Harris of the vessel Cornelia Marie passed away after complications from a stroke.

The Mighty Boosh – Summer DVD Review – Eels

The Mighty Boosh
Eels

Original Air Date: Nov 16, 2007

Eels, eels, coming at ya! So here we go with the first episode of season three. Just like last time, a change of seasons brings about a change of settings. The boys no longer live in a flat, they live in a shop, which seems to sell all variety of things with no real focus. Naboo owns the shop, fittingly called the Nabootique, and Vince and Howard are the shop keepers.

The change this time isn’t quite as drastic as the changes between seasons one and two, which felt like an overhaul of the show (and probably was, considering season one was mostly just remaking the original Boosh radio show on television). Eels does bring back the Hitcher from season one, though, sans giant thumb, making this yet another fan favorite.

OK, so first things first…I want to give a shout out to Gabe Grey who plays Stu on the show. Gabe is the guy you saw in the beginning of the show.( First person you see). He is also at the very end as the limo driver that is meeting Annie and takes her case. He is a cute young man and doing a wonderful job trying to make it in “the biz” ..Good job! He took the time out and we talked on Twitter before the show.Show him some love here.

So anyway…Annie is at the Zurich airport and she is to make a ‘brush pass’ with her contact. Simple, right? But things go wrong. She sees 2 contacts and one (blonde guy) tries to take her case as he sets his down. Commotion ensues and briefcase explodes. She hightails it outta there and talks to Auggie. The second contact disappears. Auggie is confused when she mentions 2 contacts.

Third Watch – Summer DVD Review – Welcome To Camelot

I have to admit: I’m a cop show junkie, and I’ve seen almost all of them – except for Third Watch. John Wells shows just don’t do it for me and I’ve disliked him ever since it was said he tried to plagiarise from Homicide, which is probably my all-time favorite cop show. Imagine my surprise to find out that Wells and Edward Allen Bernero (the guy behind CBS’ Criminal Minds) created an exceedingly well-cast, sharply written crime drama.

Of course, there’s no better place to start talking about a great show than at the beginning…especially with Third Watch.

It’s another week of undercover work for the members of the 125. This time it’s Sam’s turn. They’re trying to get someone in with Jimmy McManus and his gang of Irish thugs. In this, the third to the last episode of the series, everything is moving into place for the finale.

We begin with an arrest and end with gunshots.
