As we rapidly approach the end of the season things don’t appear to be slowing down at James River Hospital. Just when it seemed like we were pushing full force toward a triangle, another shaped is trying to emerge. Yes folks, we now seem to have a quadrangle or at least the makings of one.

Marc Anthony’s guest appearance last week definitely added another point to an already messy shape. What about the other relationship that Christina can’t help but keep off her mind? Camille and Marcus are getting closer every day.

Let’s see if our esteemed doctors managed to sort themselves out and save a few lives along the way.

One year, near Thanksgiving, one of my friends made an observation while we were at the grocery store about how many people were buying large quantities of alcohol. “Maybe they’re trying to get drunk so they won’t have to deal with all the family members they hate?” we theorized. This episode of Third Watch, however, centers on just that as Bosco tries to handle a family crisis on what might be the worst Thanksgiving ever. He’s operating on his own, given that Faith has the day off to spend with her family, which is a whole other drama unto itself. An unsupervised Bosco is always potentially hazardous to someone’s health.

Last week was possibly the worst week ever for the otherwise outstanding White Collar, so the burning question is how will the show rebound? Simple: give some spotlight to underrated supporting players Marsha Thomason and Sharif Atkins, plus bring in a dependable guest star in John Larroquette, and see what happens.

The series finale is upon us. Things are going to get even weirder with this last episode. Sam finally has an opportunity to get home but that is thrown on the back burner when his younger self is kidnapped by his father. There are three things that he has to do to return to 2009.

The question is, does he want to?

The Big C- Recap & Review- Pilot

The Big C
Pilot

After finding out she is running out of time in her fight with cancer, Cathy Jamison (Laura Linney) changes her attitude from uptight and uber-safety-conscious to a new, on-a-whim approach to life. Keeping her diagnosis a secret from friends and family, she begins with a new purpose– to do what makes her happy.

The pilot was a great introduction to a quirky cast of characters. When discussing treatment options with her oncologist, Cathy jokes that she doesn’t want to do chemotherapy because she loves her hair. She also explains that she hasn’t told her husband she’s sick. She had intended to tell Paul, but when she came home to find Paul having a drunken party, she decided that she “needed to be alone for awhile.” Instead, Cathy’s first step in her dealing process is the installation of a swimming pool, which she has always wanted in her yard.

A little background on this episode. This was meant to be a standalone pilot for a spin-off produced by NBC. This particular episode never made the airwaves.

An (artificially) aged Bill tapes his memoirs that serves as the set up for how he got involved with Ralph and the suit. We see footage from when the upside down candy dish dropped the suit off and Ralph got it and lost the manual. Oh, and with the footage we get the Crappy Joey Scarbury Montage (TM). Drink! Bill talks about the worst case scenario which was that Ralph’s secret got out and now he’s famous and appearing on The Tonight Show.

Welcome back, folks! I missed not getting to see an episode last week. This episode is absolutely the best I’ve seen all summer. Tim Roth really gets to stretch his acting chops. We also have the return of Jennifer Beal as Cal’s ex-wife, and Emily’s mother, Zoe. This episode is about their first case working together 17 years ago.

Cal Lightman may actually have been wrong!

Hail to thee, Camp Victory! Welcome to another great week at camp. It’s Chloe and Alistair’s birthday and Dr. Rand turns out to be a little bit of a bad girl. Let’s not waste any time and jump right in. It’s a very touching episode.

There’s a full moon in the sky, which means anything could happen!

True Blood – Recap & Review – Everything is Broken

Despite only appearing onscreen for a matter of minutes, Denis O’Hare owns this episode. Simply put, I am in awe of the vamp. In tonight’s episode, the Vampire King of Louisiana seeks revenge for his lover’s murder and creates quite the PR crisis for the American Vampire League in the process. Elsewhere in Bon Temps, Eric gets the green light to kill Russell, Tommy is loud and naked, Jason is obnoxiously dense, Bill takes a dream detour to sparkletown, and Arlene thinks her bundle of joy is a big old bundle of EVIL.

Eric and Pam
Fresh from staking Talbot (sniff!), Eric zooms to Fangtasia! to pick up Pam and get the hell out of Dodge. Their machinations are cut short, however, by the arrival of American Vampire League (AVL) spokesvamp, Nan Flanagan and what appears to be an entourage of heavily armed black storm troopers.
