Week after week, Cathy’s focus has remained on finding a connection with her son, Adam, while refusing to share her sickness as a means of explaining herself. This week’s tactic is a bicycle built for two.

Cathy thinks she and Adam should ride their tandem bicycle like they used to. Unfortunately, he of course says he’d rather die. Cathy tries riding it on her own and goes to pick up Sean. After explaining that Adam won’t ride the bike with her, Sean says he’s unsurprised as Cathy’s not fun and that’s why Adam doesn’t like her. He also won’t accompany her on her trip. Thanks, Sean.

White Collar – Recap & Review – Company Man

White Collar
Company Man

Original Air Date: Aug 31, 2010

Brittany Frederick – Senior Staff Writer
brittanyfrederick @thetwocentscorp.com

This week’s White Collar involves fun terms like “murder” and “corporate espionage.” The chief R&D guy of a tech company dropped dead in the midst of a defense contract bidding war. It’s a suspected homicide, given that the prototype he had on him was also stolen, and Peter’s plan is to go undercover as an accountant during the company’s corporate audit to see what’s going on behind closed doors. After all, he does have an accounting degree.

This means tangling with suspicious CEO Marcus Hayes, played by Griffin Dunne (whose last guest appearance was playing the anti-Nate Ford, Starke, in Leverage‘s “The Two Live Crew Job”). This job comes with perks, as he gets a spacious office and a hotel suite with its own baby grand piano.

Cast of Dancing with the Stars Season 11 Revealed

the situation

ABC has just announced the new group of celebs competing on season 11 of Dancing with the Stars.

Hosts Tom Bergeron and Brooke Burke were on hand to introduce the new cast during Mon. night’s episode of Bachelor Pad. Some of the contestants came as no surprise given all the recent rumors, while others were less expected.

Among those that had been previously rumored include Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino from Jersey Shore, Bristol Palin, and The Hills’ Audrina Patridge. Other notable celebrities competing are the reliably eccentric David Hasselhoff, and beloved Brady Bunch mom Florence Henderson.

Dancing with the Stars returns Mon. Sept. 20, with a two-hour season premiere. The first couple will be eliminated the following night during the results show that will feature performances by Santana and Daughtry.

Drop Dead Diva
Freeze the Day

Original Air Date: Aug 29, 2010

Theresa – Staff Writer
theresa@thetwocentscorp.com

So, in the first hour, we found out Grayson and Vanessa broke up, Fred and Stacy are taking it slow, and Claire Harrison is a lying snake trying to steal Parker back from Kim. Parker still doesn’t know that Claire set up a blackmail scheme against her husband, and Kim can’t get her away long enough to to tell him. Then, when she and Claire have to work on a case together, she has to swallow just about everything and play nice.

The case involves a company’s construction around the bungalow of a client Claire brought to the firm years ago. Claire shows her dark side, criticizing Kim’s preparation and getting her connections to create evidence to halt construction. When she comes right out and says, “I’m having dinner with Parker tonight and I’d like to be able to tell him you’re doing a good job,” that’s where you really start hating her.

Drop Dead Diva
Bad Girls

Theresa – Staff Writer
theresa@thetwocentscorp.com

So after a week with spotty cable and internet, I can finally bring you the season finale of Drop Dead Diva that I myself just got to see!

Brooke Elliott starts it off by knocking out another fantastic musical dream number, “I Want You To Want Me”, but this time it’s a musical duel with Vanessa (Jaime Ray Newman). She’s been distracted by Vanessa texting Grayson with cute and sassy messages during staff meetings. Another distraction during the staff meeting? The return of Claire Harrison – you know, as in Harrison & Parker law firm?

Rubicon – Recap and Review – Look to the Ant

Rubicon
Look To The Ant

Original Air Date – Aug 29, 2010

Arthur Aringdale – TwoCents Reviewer

arthur@thetwocentscorp.com

Until Look to the Ant, Will’s apartment was treated like some kind of safe haven, a place where he could unravel the mysteries surrounding him with some semblance of peace. But this is Rubicon. Nowhere is safe. We’ve been made aware of that from the beginning, and upon finding out that the apartment has been bugged I felt the same realization of my unbelievable naivete that Will did. Of course it was bugged. Major revelations for Will and Katherine are balanced by neat character moments for the rest of the cast in another characteristically strong episode.

True Blood – Recap & Review – Fresh Blood

Meg – Sr. Reviewer

In our last episode before the True Blood finale, we had some great moments in Fangtasia!, but things felt a little flat elsewhere. I’m hoping that the pacing felt off because we’re putting the pieces in place for a great finale!

Tonight’s installment of everyone’s favorite lusty vampire chronicles did have a lot of forward motion, as Eric smoldered (in more ways than one), Sookie once again became dinner, and Sam and Tara remembered just how much they enjoy each other’s company naked!

Farrah is busy right now, probably on hold with Ari’s office, so I’m taking over this week and turning her weekly fun recaps into a Top 10 List. Why? Because I can.

So, where were we – ah yes, Ari was having trouble at home, Vince was in a spiral of drugs and not wanting his porn star girlfriend to do a new adult film, Eric told off Scott, Turtle is becoming a genius at selling tequila and Drama refuses a greenlit TV show starring himself, because it’s animated. Let’s get to the list.

From the home office at Lloyd’s Desk, it’s the Entourage Top 10 facts of the episode:

TheTwoCents’ 2010 Emmy Ballot

we love emmys

We put our heads together as a crew and debated back and forth on the virtues of all the nominations. After tears, laughs and yes, maybe a little blood – here’s our list of winners. With each nominee is a running list of how we did. Want to see all the winners? You can click HERE.

These were the categories that we consider “BIG” on Emmy Night. We love the writers, costumers, mini-series, and more, but unlike the Emmy broadcasts – we don’t want to go on all night.

So, here are our winners. What about you? We want your TwoCents on who you think will win and why. Share your thoughts in the comments at the end of the story. The awards air August 29th at 8PM ET on NBC.

glee

Outstanding Comedy Series
Winner: Glee
Runner Up: Modern Family
MyTwoCents: When Glee came along, no one knew what to expect. Only one season later, they’ve got several awards under their belt, chart-topping CDs, celebrities lining up to guest star and who knows what else to come. The show is like nothing we’ve ever seen before and we’re guaranteed two more years of it. It’s pure genius and with its mixture of singing, dancing, comedy and drama, Glee is in a category all of its own. – Farrah
Winner: Modern Family. We were close!

lost

Outstanding Drama Series
Winner: LOST
Runner Up: We have it as a run-away
MyTwoCents: For six seasons Lost entangled us in a universe of drama, mystery, and romance and intruiged us with plots about polar bears, hatches, ship wrecks, Dharma stations, time travel and so much more. But at its core Lost was a show about people- and connections- and how a group of plane crash survivors would cope with their new home, a Tropical Island far away from any sign of the Civilization they remember. For six seasons the characters on Lost desperately searched for an escape off the island, and for six seasons I and millions of others looked forward to escaping reality for an hour each week on the island of Lost. Now it should win. -Thomas
Winner: Yeah, we were wrong. Mad Men – again.

2010 Emmy Video Highlights

The Emmy’s have come and gone for 2010, but some fun highlights shall remain in video land forever (or at least until NBC deletes them from their webpage). Some of our favorite bits are within this story.

How about the Opening skit with the Glee kids and some other surprise guests!
