Tonight’s episode begins with June and Sage kissing out on the back porch, Reba breaks it up by spraying them with a water bottle. She says that she is doing it to avoid being a grandma. Sage says he kisses her because it’s impossible to not kiss June when he looks at her. Again, they get sprayed. Reba is heading down to the record label office to meet with Mr. Bata, the record label executive. But Reba says that it is a ruse for Geoffrey to get a free meal out of it when Mr. Bata “cancels.” Will Mr. Bata finally meet with Reba? Let’s see what happens on tonight’s episode…

We pick up where we left off last week, in which Nick is desperately trying to find a way to get Juliette to remember him and sever her connection with the Captain. Nick has just downed a magical concoction that has knocked him out and turned him a luminescent pink.

Juliette demands an explanation from Monroe, but he finds it hard to give her a reason for the situation that she can, or will, comprehend. When Nick finally recovers from the effects of the solution he drank, Monroe and Rosalee infuse some of his blood with a further potion and have Juliette and the Captain drink it. Monroe calls it “evening out the pheromones.”

Nikita – Recap & Review – The Life We’ve Chosen

Nikita
The Life We’ve Chosen

Original Air Date: Mar 15, 2013

Andrew – TwoCents Reviewer

The Life We’ve Chosen is an excellent episode that really explores central characters and major pieces in the constant battle between Nikita and her opponents. Let’s start by talking about Alex, who is often in the middle of all of it.

Back in season one, episode 21 (“Betrayals”), Percy shows Alex video proof that Nikita had killed her father. Amanda and Percy both realized very early on that Alex (and her royal highness, Alexandra Udinov) was potentially a game-changing piece in their battle against the show’s titular character. At the time, she was Nikita’s asset, but convinced that they could change her loyalties, Amanda and Percy both tried, successfully at times, to swing her to their side.

Even though Alex can capably discern evil from good, she’s always been motivated by her own goals. Whether that was with Nikita, or Evil Division for most of season two, she’s been chasing something. After being separated from her family, she’s vowed to retrace them, and she’s never truly relinquished her ties to Zetrov. When Percy showed her that video, she turned on Nikita, and joined Evil Division in hopes of reclaiming her rightful empire.

Howard and Bernadette are having everyone over for dinner and discussing whether throwing everything in the closet counts as cleaning up. It depends on what you’re cleaning for. Company for the evening – yep that works. He suggests that if she wants it organized, they should just show it to Sheldon and let the “goblins in his head” take it from there. She doesn’t feel right about asking their guest to clean for them.

Until he disses the Thai food she’s been working on all day in favor of takeout he made Leonard stop for on the way there.

This week on Archer, Lana and Archer must pose as newlyweds in order to track down some shifty North Koreans who are in town to buy some uranium. Archer is delighted, and Lana seems close to some sort of nervous break-down. Archer takes every opportunity to make Lana uncomfortable (obviously) and, back at ISIS, Pam takes every opportunity to torture Cyril with the idea of Lana and Archer sharing a hotel room. For example, Pam’s impression of what Lana and Archer might be up to (enacted with the help of a lamb kebab) is probably the most hilarious thing I have ever seen.

Tom’s “Rent-A-Swag” business is booming but his new employee takes advantage of his kindness, does pretty much whatever she wants, and is blood-related to everyone’s favourite party animal, Jean-Ralphio Saperstein. That’s right, everyone – meet Mona Lisa, JR’s twin sister who is the “woooooooorst,” in his words.

Leslie is out supporting local business and drops in on Pawnee’s famous video dome, run by Dennis (guest-star Jason Schwartzman) who sadly announces that the store, which features mostly foreign and arthouse films, will close its doors forever in a few days. Leslie steps up to the plate and pushes to grant the store a bailout, but what she gets is actually very, very different than what she was aiming for.

We open on a conversation amongst the Comic Book Men about “what if you could be on the scene to observe any moment in comic book history?” Walt chooses the death of Superman. Ming chooses the moment when Superman (as a baby) arrives on earth. He gets a little flack for picking such a boring moment, because in all actuality, nothing really happened except Ma and Pa Kent finding a baby in a cornfield. Bryan chooses #3 of the top 6 creepiest comic book sexual encounters when Ant Man has sex with his dead friend’s girlfriend on that friend’s grave. Wow. Just wow.

We begin tonight’s episode by seeing Emily catch and confront Skip about cutting roses in front of the White House. Apparently he has a date with Stacy, who I thought could not stand him after what he had put her through in the past. I guess she is the kind of girl to give a guy another chance. How will it all play out? We are about to find out…..

The Farm

Original Air Date: Mar 14, 2013

shannon@thetwocentscorp.com

This week’s episode is the backstory for the failed Dwight spinoff called “The Farm”. Settle in for the ride because it ain’t pretty, folks. There is much forced “hilarity” and “antics”. The only reasonably normal person is Dwight’s sister. I suspect she was meant to be the voice of reason on the new show. Anyway, let’s get this over with.

Dwight catches the elevator at DM wearing the Schrute traditional funeral garb, which is a top hat, some kind of neckerchief, and a tuxedo. Dwight’s Aunt Shirley has passed away and he’s in mourning. Dwight flings dirt in everyone’s faces, except Oscar who gets manure. Apparently, dung to the face is also an invitation to the funeral.

Advanced Documentary Filmmaking

Original Air Date: Mar 14, 2013

Shannon – Associate Editor
shannon@thetwocentscorp.com

This week is a documentary about Chang aka “Kevin” and his Changnesia. Abed is filming this documentary because Dean Pelton wants a propaganda film to land a research grant. A non-descript doctor tells us all about the disease while Dean and Britta talk about how they met Chang and what they think happened to him. Britta’s Chyron graphic says she’s “Basically a Therapist”. Yeah, ok.

Apparently the MacGuffin Neurological Institute is considering giving a grant to Greendale in the amount of $40,000 to help cure Chang. Jeff still believes that Chang is faking and enlists Shirley to help him. He continually reminds everyone how Chang tried to kill them. Too bad Shirley believes everyone deserves a second chance and hires Kevin to work in her sandwich shop. Jeff wonders what it says about him that everyone believes Chang but him. He concludes that everyone else is gullible and he’s going to single-handedly expose Chang using the documentary. Jeff pretends to organize a way to impress MacGuffin. He gives everyone in the study group a job which he knows they will suck at and which he will then use to sabotage the grant.
