Will Arnett Wants YOU To Keep Running Wilde On The Air

are you going to help save running wilde?

“Kinda bleak, need viewers, that’s why I did all the lame self-promoting tweets. Tues ep I’m half nude and wash [Andy] Richter’s car.”

So said Will Arnett just a few hours ago on Twitter (@arnettwill). For those of us who have been watching Running Wilde, that doesn’t sound good at all, especially when you take other recent tweets into account. In one of them he plainly states that if the show doesn’t do well in the ratings this week, he thinks it might be the last episode to air.

Brothers & Sisters
Faking It

Original Air Date: Oct 10, 2010

We all knew it was coming. Well, a few things would come. First, Rebecca would eventually have to return. But how would her return be written? Would she be happy, sad, in a good place in her life? Would her reunion with Justin be civil? Second, Kitty would meet a new guy. And how would things go during that first interaction?

This week, both of those questions get answered. We finally find out just why Rebecca has been away and we get to watch Kitty “finding herself” out in Ojai. This all happens while Sarah is having a birthday – and it’s not her 40th like she has told Luc.

Different people have different ways of coping with the loss of a loved one. Some people isolate. Some people go to church. Some people join a support group. And others may seek solace and comfort in a familiar hobby, like baking or knitting. And then there’s Dexter…

Dexter is aching to make a kill. His feelings of normalcy are dependent on it as it seems to be the one thing in his world he can control. But for all his intentions of organization, Dexter may be breaking the number one rule of Harry’s code… Don’t get caught.

Boardwalk Empire – Recap & Review – Anastasia

Boardwalk Empire
Anastasia

Original Air Date: Oct 10, 2010

Sara M. – Sr. Reviewer
sara@thetwocentscorp.com

On the last Boardwalk Empire things took a downward spiral. One of Chalky’s men was lynched, Jimmy was forced to leave Atlantic City because of the liquor heist, and Nucky is dealing with his usual political and personal problems. This week, it’s Nucky’s birthday, Jimmy is trying to adjust to life in Chicago, and Chalky is trying to find out whom is responsible for his man’s death. Things are going to get hectic.

Jimmy has only been in Chicago for a few days but already he has some new associates. He’s working with Al Capone and has taken up with Pearl, a local hooker. One night while sleeping together, Al creeps into the room, pulling his gun and pointing it at Jimmy’s head. Within a moment the gun fires and feathers fly up, waking Jimmy rather abruptly. As he falls from the bed, the scars from the war are visible on his legs. Al laughs, telling him that he just needs the keys for the car. Pearl takes good care of him, tending to his bleeding ear. She shares her desire to head out to California in the hopes of becoming an actress. Jimmy is quick to reassure Pearl that she has the face for it. He seems to be moving on from Angela with great ease.

MyTwoCents: Open Letter to American Idol Producers

photo: fox

Dear American Idol Producers,

I hear that you are trying to fix Idol. You’ve brought back original producer Nigel Lythgoe. You’re going back to three judges and two of those judges will be new. There will be no guest mentors and Jimmy Iovine will be the permanent mentor. Online auditions sounds like a fun idea. And who knows whatever changes you’ve got in store? Perhaps no theme nights? I applaud them all (OK, maybe not lowering the eligibility age to 15, but everything else – yeah).

But would you mind if I told you what the real problem is? Continue reading

I was able to go to the premiere of Chris and Mike Farah’s new movie, Answer This, that was filmed and debuted in their native town of Ann Arbor,Michigan. The film stars Christopher Gorham (USA’s Covert Affairs) and Arielle Kebbel (HBO’s True Blood) in a wonderful story in which they pay homage to Ann Arbor. University of Michigan professor, Ralph Williams is also a key player in the film as Gorham’s father.

“Happiness is something we all want, and so we search for it.” So Mary Alice tells us in the beginning of this episode. But happiness is boring so of course our housewives can’t be happy, or can they?

Last week Gaby found out that Juanita is not her biological daughter. Susan is feeling guilty about her extracurricular work. Tom is suffering from postpartum depression and Bree is crushing on her carpenter. So do our housewives find happiness this week? Read on to find out.

Mad Men – Recap & Review – Blowing Smoke

Mad Men tends to finish off each season with at least a few explosive moments. While we didn’t see anything of that magnitude this episode, we did get Don making a big move while the agency’s back remained against the wall. Stand out characters from Mad Men past also came into play in interesting ways.

This being the last episode before the finale, we are still left with many unanswered questions, including the most important one: will the SCDP agency survive?

The Amazing Race – Recap & Review – In Phil We Trust

The Amazing Race
In Phil We Trust

Original Air Date: Oct 10, 2010

This week, my Amazing Race started early when The Amazing Race host Phil Keoghan was the Grand Marshal at the NASCAR Nationwide race on Saturday. He was so cute and punny when he asked if they were “ready to start their race.” Maybe I’m just a TAR geek, but I got a chuckle out of it.

Anyhoo, back to the actual task at hand, this week TAR should be interesting, when teams are fighting like crazy, one team wants to quit and one team needs medical attention. What will happen?
