Jules holds her friends very close to her heart. So what will happen when she finds out her best friend slept with her boyfriend?? And that her other best friend knew about it?? And what about the other players in the game? Laurie is in her first serious relationship (oh Smith, how I love your smile), but with the recent spoilerish casting news for another show the came out this week (perfect timing anyone?), I’m pretty sure I know where this is heading.

In other news, my Kylie question is answered this week. In a very obnoxious way. Are you ready to “eat the sword?”

MyTwoCents – New Fall Shows So Far

new shows

It’s now October. The leaves are changing, the pumpkins are popping up on the front porches in the neighborhood and we’re about a month into the new TV season.

Shows have had 3 or 4 episodes so far to either impress us or to get us to remove them from our DVR lists. Here at TTC, we have a great listing of the new shows and what their status is as far as being canceled or getting renewed.

I’m going to list where my mind is on a lot of the new shows, and I’m curious where you stand. Share your TwoCents in the comments below.

I’ll be upfront about this, I haven’t watched all the new shows. No one has that kind of time, but I have seen a lot of them. The following shows are being judged on a KPonTV scale of 1-5, 5 being the best and 1 being, well, Outlaw. Let’s start at the bottom and work our way up, shall we?

The low down: Well, the old vs. young experiment is over, which is for the best. Did anyone really want to watch the oldsters lose the majority of the challenges? The crazy, however, is not over.

And if you like schadenfreude, especially at Naonka’s expense, well, this episode is for you.

Welcome back for another episode of America’s Next Top Model! We have nine girls left in the competition and everyone’s starting to get ready to “play the game”. Ann is getting more confident and actually feels pretty. She just needs work on her outer confidence. Chelsey is upset that she still hasn’t won anything yet.

Tyra Mail! Already? “Ding Dong! Love, Tyra!”

Law & Order SVU – Recap & Review – Wet

Law & Order SVU
Wet

After a couple weeks of very intense dramatic issues, things calm down a bit this episode. Of course, there’s still controversy. It is SVU. The most interesting thing about this episode is that there’s a new ADA- or is there? It’s left up in the air by the time the credits roll.

A couple sneaks out to, apparently, play in a city fountain, but instead find a woman drowned in the shallow water. Her blood red eyes indicate that she drowned, and the ME (bring back Melinda!) says that a chunk of her hair was cut off by someone who wanted it as a keepsake.

In the world of real life families, some weeks we interact and overlap more than others. Some weeks we’re all up in each other’s business and every move. Other weeks, we’re lucky to see each other over a quick dinner. This week the Bravermans mostly orbit in their individual worlds, albeit with mixed results.

Before we get into the details, I’m issuing a plea to anyone reading this but not actively watching. This show is consistent, enjoyable, and heartfelt. I firmly believe, based on ratings, that this may be the best show you’re not watching. So please watch Parenthood! Now, on to this week’s family dramas…

Glee – Recap & Review – Duets

Duets

Farrah Kaye – Sr. Editor

So our Gleeks are doing duets. Who will pair off with who? Will Sam and Quinn actually kiss as it seems in the previews? And what’s up with Artie and Brittany?

But more importantly, after this episode is over, the next one we get to see is the Rocky Horror Glee Show, which promises to be fantabulous. So sit back, relax, get through “Duets” and before you know it, it will be “Time Warp” time!

Detroit 1-8-7 – Recap & Review – Royal Bubbles/Needle Drop

With three main partnerships in Detroit Homicide and 2 cases per episode, logic dictates that we’ll have two sets of people on one case and one on the other, with some intermingling. Weeks like this, I’m not sure how they decide which case gets more people- they both seem equally complicated.

Our victims are a man killed at a car wash and a younger guy pushed off a parking structure. By the way, I’ve given up on calling the detectives by their first names. It varies from crime show to crime show, but since they call each other by their last names, it just gets less confusing.

Ryan O – TwoCents Reviewer

This episode feels as if the show has settled in a little bit and is ready to start telling its story instead of just introducing us to the characters. There were a couple of weird plot holes but it was a strong and enjoyable episode. The theme this week is truth and lying.

After the family is robbed at a wedding, Jim lies to his family about going to other weddings that are potential targets.
