Have you seen The Right Stuff? Apollo 13? Armageddon? Clearly the writers have, as tonight’s episode was a hodge-podge homage to blockbuster space films. It’s a fun romp, but I think it tries a smidge too hard to be “epic.” Regardless, I still cracked up a ton – how could I not love an episode that has Captain Troy, Abed saving the day, Pierce fighting an animatronic Colonel Sanders and one seriously tricked out Winnebago.

We kick off tonight with the Dean and his mid-level cronies aghast at the revelation that rival City College is about to premiere…a space simulator! What does that mean? It means that City College can have a (fake) astronaut on their brochure—how can Greendale compete with that? Read on for the full recap and review!

Hey kids, it’s a non-Sheldon episode! This week focuses on Howard, who realizes he still has feelings for Bernadette when he sees her – well, hides from her – at the Cheesecake Factory.

As Howard settles in for the night, Katee Sackhoff reappears as his fantasy girl, only to be replaced by Bernadette who says Howard’s still not over her. Katee pops back up on the other side of the bed to agree, while Star Trek‘s George Takei joins in the fun when Howard says he’s confused. Continue reading

It’s really sunny in Philly on this week’s episode. A heat wave has hit and the gang longs to cool off! Seems pretty easy, huh? Not for our gang.

Welcome back for another week in India! Tonight we have deception, shenanigans, and romance. And a whole lot of laughs.

I just want to take a second and mention how much I love the theme song. I love Bollywood music. It’s just a touch too short for me, but I digress.

This is probably one of the creepiest episodes of CSI in a long time. I think we might have our “big bad” for this season now. Not since The Exorcist have I seen someone spider-walk this well.

It’s just downright creepy from beginning to end. Who are you, indeed!

Grey’s Anatomy
Can’t Fight Biology

Original Air Date: Oct 14, 2010

The theme of the episode, as said in Meredith’s voiceover is that ‘biology sucks’. And in more ways then one that theme is represented. Meredith has an appointment with an OB to find out if something is wrong with her, it turns out that her uterus is ‘hostile’. And that she might have trouble conceiving or keeping a pregnancy. Avery is using ‘his biology’ or rather anatomy to get what he wants while man-whore Mark checks out Arizona’s biology and making her feel uncomfortable. Even the cases at hand have to do with biology.

30 Rock – Recap & Review – Live Show

30 Rock
Live Show

Original Air Date: Oct 14, 2010

Laura Kelley – Associate Staff Writer
laurakelley@thetwocentscorp.com

This week’s live episode of 30 Rock was probably the best of the season, and it proved that the cast really shines under the pressure of doing a live episode.

The episode was funny from the start, with Liz and Jack wondering why “everything in here looks like a Mexican soap opera” and Jack revealing he’s stopped drinking because Avery is pregnant. Liz flashes back to when she gave up refined sugar and attacked everyone, while being played by Julia Louis-Dreyfuss, who made an awesome Flashback Liz.

Compromising Positions

Original Air Date: Oct 13, 2010

JD – Staff Writer

So last week, the team handled the case without JJ, but this week, someone new stepped in to the media liaison position. Sort of. Garcia, our resident computer goddess with the mad skillz, decided she would take on JJ’s job, and talked Hotch into it (on a trial basis) in under a minute. She had ready bag in hand, and was willing to tone down her wardrobe to fit the job. How did she do? Read on.
