Warning: No Castiel Sightings.

Behind every great hunter, there’s Bobby.

That should have been the title of the episode. This week we take a break from the brothers Winchester to spend a weekend in Uncle Bobby’s shoes and oh boy, is it a trip. In between pretending to be every federal acronym under the sun, looking up how to kill a Greek demon and feeding a Okami through his neighbour’s woodchipper, the poor man can’t even finish a slice of cobbler! Oh wait, I forgot to mention fending off the authorities who don’t understand that sometimes you just have to bury a body in your salvage yard.

In a family full of members of law enforcement, to lose another cop is like loosing one of their own in the Reagan family. If there’s anyone who takes a cop killer seriously it’s this family, who has already lost one son to the job. As the case unfolds the Reagans discover they’re dealing with another family, one that chose the criminal life. Will a cop killer be brought to justice or will a member of the Reagan family take care of him first?

Two Cents and Five Questions with Burgandy (Biggest Loser)

photo: nbc

Burgandy, Reality Contestant

Burgandy was eliminated from The Biggest Loser this week for one reason and one reason only. She had the unfortunate occurrence of tendonitis in her leg right before a challenge. It was her hard work to stay on campus that ended up costing her the game. I had a chance to talk to her on a conference call and she talked about how frustrating the show was and how she’s doing now.

The Two Cents: You had such a positive attitude despite being injured; was there one thing that happened at that ranch that really inspired you?

Two Cents and Five Questions with Sophia (Biggest Loser)

photo: nbc

Sophia, Reality Contestant

Sophia was one of the strongest women on season 10 of The Biggest Loser. Unfortunately, she only pulled a two-pound weight loss on the week that they had a red line and was immediately eliminated. She claimed to be ready to go home, but was she? She certainly is doing a great job so far at home. I really enjoyed talking to her.

The Two Cents: You said on the show that you were ready to go home, but were you really? Or was that putting a positive spin on what had to be a disappointing two-pound weight loss?

Looks like we’re going to spend this episode on Our Side. And it also looks like Fauxlivia and Peter are getting a little too cozy. Now, I’m all for the Peter/Olivia thing, but remember this Olivia is a baddie (if only misinformed, a baddie nonetheless). She’s playing the role well, but is obviously a little uncomfortable with the whole seduce-the-Secretary-of-Defense’s-kidnapped-son thing.

Meanwhile, a really nice Senator (who happens to be a friend of Broyles) is injured in a car accident. At the hospital, Newton tries to kidnap the injured man. When his attempt fails, thank you Broyles, he shoots Senator Van Horn smack in the eyeball. If Newton was trying to hide the fact that the senator was actually a shapeshifter, he didn’t do a very good job. Broyles immediately recognizes the silver blood on the body of his old friend.

As a matter of friendship, Lisbon tells Jane that it’s a little worrying that he sleeps upstairs in the office in his club house. (No one calls it a clubhouse, that’s my private name for it.) He waves her off, as we expect him too, and they head to a hotel where a man has been shot in the face eight or ten times in the head — or as Lisbon says, “What head?”

Jane dismisses the dead man, Henry Dahl, as a sociopath who should have been in prison and further more says he doesn’t care who killed this creep. Outside he is accosted by this show’s answer to Nancy Grace (I want to barf just typing her name), Karen Cross, whom he rebuffs in order to go sleep in the van. She gets her revenge, though, catching his nap on camera and putting it on what I’m guessing is national television.

A Better Place To Be

Tonight’s episode of Private Practice is going to bring back one of our forgotten but loved characters: Betsey. Having lost both parents to violent and random deaths, the poor little girl has no one. With Dell having been part of their “family,” it is only natural that she should be raised by one of them, right? Maybe. I’m torn.

Whatever happens, her arriving at the practice will bring up all kinds of emotions and topics for all our doctors. From the previews we know Violet wants to keep her but she barely just got her life together herself. And before he died, Dell was living with Naomi, so maybe she’ll step in? And what about Addison, who can’t have children of her own? Each has a case to keep Betsey. But will they?

This time David Alan Grier was our guest as Bunsen Jude the Science Dude and let me just say I thought this was going to be a bust. Grier was wonderful though, as he brought to the show some wonderful lines and the inner child in us came out. Here is what happened.

Cold open: Dwight tries to pick up some immigrant workers but the workers won’t go with him. He picks up an American worker and sends him out in the office parking lot to get ride of a hornet’s nest. Dwight’s left him all the tools he needs like a bow and arrow, a blow torch, and a baseball bat. Nate chooses the bat and of course gets stung to kingdom come.

Michael rolls in the office wearing a fake moustache that’s cleverly hiding a spot. Meredith confirms it’s a cold sore because girl knows herpes. She even had it once. The gang advises him to get tested for STDs. Also, no one will sit by Meredith in the break room. Aw.
