I was a little apprehensive to watch this week’s episode since last week’s was the best episode I’d seen in a very long time, but the writers didn’t disappoint! This episode had everything in it.

It had Ted as an architect, Lily and Marshall being their kooky selves, Robin experiencing a new relationship with, let’s say “shortcomings”, and Barney being super awesome and doing something legendary.

If you have a problem, if no-one else can help, and if you can find them, maybe you can hire the cAsey-Team. This week’s episode opens in the Zargos Mountains of Iran in 1999 where Casey and his a-team of commandos (Eric Roberts), Joel Moore, and Batista) uncover a stockpile of gold being used to fund terrorism. Casey’s men have other plans for the gold, but Casey won’t let them deviate from their mission to destroy the bunker and bury the gold. Casey wins the day and the men formerly under his command end up in Levenworth but the gold remains buried in a vault somewhere in Iran which can only be opened by Casey.

NBC Orders Full Season Pickups for The Event, Law & Order: Los Angeles and Outsourced

outsourced will be around for the whole season

NBC announced full season pickups for three of their new TV shows.

The Event: Although reviews of the show had been mixed (it was definitely not the next “Lost”), it showed improvement in ratings by 30 percent since this time slot last year. With a 3.0 average rating and 9.1 million viewers in its current Nielsen Media Research, it’s definitely holding its own and is deserving of the pick up.

Law & Order: Los Angeles: The spin-off show was averaging a 2.5 rating and 8.7 million viewers in the Nielsen ratings and is up 39% from this time slot last year. Building on the Law & Order-brand audience, it no doubt has staying power.

The Event – Recap & Review – Casualties of War

In tonight’s action-packed installment, President Handsome plays phone-chicken with Thomas, Sean rescues Laila from the fake police, Sophia rides the train, and nobody really cares that much about those 183 occasionally dead people stuck in quarantine. Also, someone clearly told the show-runners that in order to make villainous Vicky more sympathetic, they should saddle her with a kid and A Conscience. I think it might have been more effective for them to have her, you know, not murder everyone and their grandma at the drop of a hat.

Did it work? Read on for the full recap and review to find out!

Rules Of Engagement – Recap & Review – Play Ball

Rules of Engagement
Play Ball

This week we had Allison wanting to slow things down a bit with Timmy and Audrey is nothing but work, work, work…but that will change if Jeff has anything to say about it.

We start out with Jeff needing a female player because the “team lesbian” can’t make it. He asks Jenn if she would do it and then a whole scenario of her and Adam starts. Jenn says she can’t because she is busy ( she just doesn’t want to) and then Adam…oh, dumb Adam…starts whining that he thought she was available all weekend and they were going to do something. Needless to say, Jenn fesses up and tells Jeff she just doesn’t WANT to play. In walks Audrey and so Jeff asks her to play. She tells him there is work she has to do, and he tells her to take some time and enjoy the outdoors and play. Can you tell he is desperate? She agrees to play.

Dancing with the Stars – Recap & Review – Week 5

Dancing with the Stars
Week 5

It’s TV Theme week. All the performances this week will be danced to a TV theme song. I’m sure you can all guess at least one theme song.

There was no dancing until about thirty minutes into the show. The first half hour was wasted on discussing what the dancers need to do to improve – boring. Why not just make the show 1½ hours? Anyway, since I’m not into wasting time, let’s get right to the recap. Oh, and read on to find out why your reviewer was pitching a fit by the end of the show.

House – Recap & Review – Unplanned Parenthood

An adult daughter is filming her mother (Jennifer Grey) giving birth and something is wrong with the baby. The baby is born and they whisk it across the room without cutting cord. Is this one of those new cordless models? The baby is the patient so that means I’m going to be watching through my fingers. Awesome.

Cuddy talks House into babysitting tonight since her nanny can’t be there. This not going to go well, of course.

This week on Lie To Me, we find out just how dirty Wallowski and her partner are…if they are at all. We also get to see more banter between Loker and Lightman. And more conflict between Lightman and Foster.

Can’t we all just get along? No, because that wouldn’t make for very good tv, would it?!?

I don’t know about you but the montages on this show really make me want to go on vacation! We’re on a tourist submarine, when a kid sees a mermaid. Unfortunately, it’s really a dead body (ick). Oh but then we’re treated to Alex O’Loughlin half naked waking up in bed (sigh). But the girl from last week who helped out with the satellite is in his bed too. They apparently never quite make it to dinner when they see each other.

Danno and McGarrett are called down to the morgue on their day off. And we get to meet Max, the doctor who is a tactile thinker and plays piano to process (played by the marvelous Masi Oka). Max is an odd duck, and the victim is the daughter of an ambassador (side note, how awesome is Jean Smart as the governor?)

Mike and Molly – Recap & Review – Carl is Jealous

Mike and Molly
Carl is Jealous

Original Air Date: Oct 18, 2010

Rachel M – Associate Staff Writer

rachelm@thetwocentscorp.com

Carl and Mike are on patrol, and Mike is clearly in a good mood, he’s humming The Marriage of Figaro that he heard at the symphony with Molly the night before. She’s expanding his horizons by taking him to the symphony and making him drink tea. And because of this, Carl insists that Mike is whipped.

Which he is a little, at least based on this one conversation.
