TV Theme night was overall a big hit. Most everyone did a great job with a few notable exceptions. However, will the somewhat uneven judging affect tonight’s results?

Remember Kyle Massey and Bristol Palin are in the bottom two. The trend has been that someone from the bottom goes home. Read on to find out if the trend continues.

My Two Cents: When NASCAR Meets Television

I’ve been around this site for over a year now, so if you’re an avid reader of TTC, you know two things about me: I love TV and I love NASCAR even more.

So what happens when my two favorite things come together? My brain goes wild and my heart races and I get all warm and fuzzy. Twice a year, NASCAR heads to Fontana, CA and makes the Hollywood-esque rounds. Celebrities are always hitting the track. This year’s fall race (held three weeks ago) was no exception.

Carl Edwards, driver of the No. 99 Aflac Ford Fusion for Roush Fenway Racing appeared on the Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson while Michael Waltrip, owner/broadcaster/former driver, and Danica Patrick (does she need a bio line?) were spotted at a trendy Hollywood eatery, which earned them screentime on TMZ.

We open with a mysterious woman in a trenchcoat threading through a busy sidewalk. As she weaves her way through the crowds she takes note of the security cameras positioned everywhere. How curious. She spots a Navy recruitment center and walks up to the entrance. Whereby she promptly whips out a shotgun, looks up at the camera and then takes the recruitment center hostage.

Ladies and gentlemen, I give you G’s ex-wife Tracy.

This week we find Castle and Beckett investigating the death of a young doctor. In the process they uncover a prison break scheme, a sick drug lord, and Taylor Swift concert tickets. Seriously?

The episode opens at a Jewish funeral where the pallbearers fumble with a heavy casket. The coffin tumbles revealing that the dearly departed was not alone. A dead body of a young woman has been stashed inside. Talk about being economical.

Paul pulls up while Cathy is teaching Adam how to drive. He points out that Adam is only 14 and can’t even get his permit for another year, but she says she wanted to get it over with since she doesn’t want Paul to teach him. They argue about how she ran off to the Bahamas, and Adam storms off. Paul tells her he got promoted at work, and Cathy offers to join him at the party for him, but he tells her she’d just suck the fun out of that too.

Farewell Barbara Billingsley and Tom Bosley

billingsley and bosley

A great pairing of TV parents passed away in recent days and we here at TheTwoCents say farewell to Barbara Billingsley and Tom Bosley.

The Hollywood Reporter: Barbara Billingsley, one of TV’s “ideal” 1950s moms who portrayed the Beaver’s mother on “Leave it to Beaver,” died in Santa Monica, Calif. on Saturday. She was 94 and had suffered from a rheumatoid disease, according to a family spokesperson.

Beloved by a generation of Baby Boomers, who recall her as the even-keeled June Cleaver, Billingsley was the quintessential ’50s mom. Along with such other primetime “moms” as Harriet Nelson and Donna Reed, she projected the era’s ideal of suburban womanhood.

And according to NBC: Tom Bosley, whose long acting career was highlighted by his hugely popular role as the understanding father on television’s nostalgic, top-rated 1970s comedy series “Happy Days,” died Tuesday. He was 83.

Bosley died of heart failure at a hospital near his Palm Springs home. Bosley’s agent, Sheryl Abrams, said he was also battling lung cancer.

Do you guys have any remembrances of either?
