The theme this week those moments in history that effect us all. Allison has been sensitive to the emotions of the masses when those things happen. Watergate, the Berlin Wall coming down, 9/11 etc. So the question is, is there something that could happen that would drive Allison over the edge? (Frankly if 9/11 didn’t do it…)

When Allison wakes up from this dream of catastrophe, she has the usual conversation with Joe with herself as he is totally sacked out asleep.

MyTwoCents – The Skip Forward “Solution”

Maybe it’s just that two of my favorite shows did it this season that put this into my brain, kind of like last year when everyone had a brain tumor, but it seems to me that shows that jump forward during hiatus seem to be struggling to keep a plot together. Then again, when I look at my list of examples, most of them survived this device with success, so maybe I’m just crazy.

I rather like the CSI: NY openings where it isn’t obvious what is going on straight away. Which is why, when I find a couple sitting on a couch in an otherwise empty apartment, I’m intrigued. The couple is Charles and Elizabeth Harris. It becomes apparent that they are following some sort of instruction. Their actions lead them to an abandoned rooftop, where a car awaits them… with a dead body inside.

Supernatural – Recap & Review – You Can’t Handle the Truth

You Can’t Handle the Truth

Original Air Date: Oct 29, 2010

The truth doesn’t set you free if you’re Dean Winchester. In fact its bloody, gory and way too much to handle. You could even say it’s intense.

A string of strange suicides provides us with the catalyst we’ve been waiting for since the start of the season. The Goddess of Truth has descended upon a folksy town in Illinois, forcing people to tell the truth. Honesty isn’t really the best policy for the victims. One blows her brains out after her sister tells her to and another gets drilled to death in a dentist chair after confessing to statutory rape. The bodies serve as tributes at the altar of Veritas, who bears a striking resemblance to Zatanna from Smallville. In true Winchester fashion, Dean gets the veritaserum after a shot of tequila and the results are, well, not what I thought they would be.

Jamie is the first to answer a loud and boisterous complaint. There four kids have over-dosed. Danny takes over the investigation, Erin’s daughter knows kids from the school, and Frank must pay a visit to an old friend to help remove some barriers in the investigation. It’s (yet again) time to party in Mystic Falls! As usual, that means a handful of corpses, creative weaponry, mysterious newcomers of ambiguous morality, and some pretty great twists! It’s game on, as our rag-tag team of would-be slayers has one mission: Kill Katherine. Elsewhere, Jenna recovers, Bonnie and Jeremy get closer, and Matt tries his darndest to get Tyler to kill him.

Another week without Kaley, and another girl for Leonard! This week, Raj’s sister comes to visit

Raj brings his sister Priya into the university cafeteria, where the guys are sitting having a lunch that includes terrible cobbler. She has a one-day layover on her way to Toronto, where she’ll be lead attorney for a corporate merger on behalf of her company. She’s met the gang before, so there’s no surprises. Except for the part where she grabs Leonard in the hallway outside the bathroom and starts making out with him. That’s probably going to be a surprise.

I seem to remember a saying that deaths come in threes — or is that just bad things? Either way, this episode if the perfect example. During the wake for the mother of Pauline Fitzwilliams (Christine Rose! It’s a Heroes conspiracy!), Pauline’s daughter Abby is discovered missing and Abby’s boyfriend is found dead in the guesthouse. But security is tight around the house, and while security has no log of her leaving, no one has found her on the grounds either. Suspicious.

Pauline immediately fingers Raymond Tubbs, a white supremacist who deals in gangs and the associated unpleasantries, and Tubbs had threatened her and her family. While Lisbon agrees to look into Tubbs, she says they have to rule everyone else out as well. Pauline is adamant that Abby had gotten over her drug and alcohol issues and had been sober for months. Because, you know, people never relapse and then hide it out of guilt or shame.

Farrah Kaye – Sr. Editor

My favorite dramas have themes. In the last few weeks we’ve had kissing, lying, religion, and this week it’s about secrets on Private Practice. Secrets from friends, secrets from family, secrets amongst doctors (who are friends with each other).

Violet’s walking around with Pete’s mom/brother secret and others come out in the episode. Who has a secret? Does anyone keep them? What happens when the secrets are let out? And what horrific event happens that will change the life of our doctors this season?
