Move over Texas, there’s something new not to mess with: Abed. Community channels Mean Girls this week, with Abed. Britta, Shirley, and Annie are excited to be taking a women’s studies class so they can hate on the patriarchy. I would totally be with them, but since the episode opens with Jeff and Troy in tank tops, I’m a little distracted… (and very, very shallow).

Is Abed the ultimate mean girl? Read on for the full recap and review—and find out!

Private Practice – Recap & Review – Did You Hear What Happened to Charlotte King?

Did You Hear What Happened to Charlotte King?

Original Air Date: Nov 4, 2010

This week was one of the most anticipated episodes in Private Practice history. It’s been talked about for weeks – months – and the cliffhanger ending from last week left us knowing what was going to come during this episode. Charlotte, a character who has had the most growth of possibly any character I can ever remember on any show, was attacked at the end of last week’s episode. Just the tiny bit we saw was brutal and the previews made viewers shudder.

The writers and actors promised the episode was well-researched and I knew Shonda Rhimes would hit it out of the park. What I didn’t expect was how amazing of a job KaDee Strickland would do. (yes, I’ve already watched it). For this special episode, I don’t want to miss a detail and am going back to my old scene-by-scene recap style. It deserves it.

**Warning: Adult content discussed in the recap & review to follow.**

Finally we are back with our favorite FOX TV shows after a long break because of baseball. When we left off the last episode gave a glimpse of what was to happen and Hannah getting shot, sent a lot of us into a happy dance and some of us a not so happy dance. I mean ok, we want Booth to be happy, I do too, but really…with someone other than Bones? I don’t think so. How long is this going to last?

Our Olivia has a problem. Well, more than a few, actually, She thinks she’s Fauxlivia, see keeps hallucinating about Peter, and she is popping little red pills like they’re candy. Claiming to have no lingering side effects from her mental breakdown, she voluntarily submits to some additional testing which Walternate says will help them “win the war.” He tells her the other Olivia can slip between realities and that maybe Fauxlivia can, too. Some sensory deprivation and a weird experience in a gift shop later, Olivia is pulled from the tank more confused than before. This is not going to go well.

Meanwhile, someone monkeyed with an Amber Quarantine site created four years ago. OFD is called in to investigate the unstable material. Charlie notices a new addition to the Amber: Some petty criminal possibly trying to extract purses or wallets from the Amberized victims. Nope. Lincoln notices an amber cast of a body. Now, why would a person want to get a body out of Amber?

Hey everyone! Sorry for the delayed posting, but I was kidnapped by vampire besties on the run from a centuries old vampire patriarch who really knows how to hold a grudge! Or…. maybe that was Elena. Yup, definitely Elena. Our heroine is having one helluva day – after getting magically staked and battered last week, she was abducted from a parking lot by a castoff from Cirque du Soleil. Tonight she gets some good news and some bad news. On the plus side, she gets rescued! On the down side… she’s apparently destined to die as a ceremonial sacrifice to liberate vampires from the sun…

Pam is holding a lecture on stopping the spread of germs. Dwight has a problem with hand sanitizer saying that using it is coddling your immune system and making things worse. So Jim asks if they should all sneeze on Dwight to give him as many germs as possible. Dwight agrees and the next couple of shots show Erin running from reception to sneeze on Dwight and then Andy sneezing on Dwight’s sandwich. Grody.

When Lisbon and Jane arrive on scene here… there is no scene. Just a tranquil place of business for Bajoran Helicopters. Lisbon came because the Director asked, but Jane? Jane is not going to stand for this. In fact, he intends to stay in the car and nap. For freedom. I am so using that excuse the next time I need an excuse to catch some sleep.

And then our old daredevil friend Walter Mashburn shows up. That’s another thing I love about this show: continuity! Today Walter is acquiring Yuri Bajoran’s company, and there was also a death threat against Yuri. Since Walter didn’t want him to be killed before he could sign the papers, he called in favors to bring Lisbon and Jane to them. They go in to sign the papers, and Walter turns back to flirt with Lisbon — then… a bomb explodes! Excellent.

This week we find Jack’s girlfriend Avery seized by crazy pregnancy hormones that make her throw things and demand that Jack establish boundaries with Liz. Jack agrees, since he fears her anger, and spends the episode trying to see Liz as just an employee. Kenneth has a crisis of his own when he sees on TV that Tracy is dead, and he says “curse you, Jacob! He stays on this side!” It turns out NBC News makes obituaries for celebrities before they die, so Kenneth won’t actually end up in some insane blood feud with a deity.

What exactly is going on there, I wonder…
