Many thanks to Farrah for recapping last week as I celebrated my joyeux anniversaire! But since I don’t live in West Beverley, my shindig was missing the trickery, nudity, bizarre celebrity cameo, and contrivance that abounded at Adrianna’s magazine party. Tonight, Annie and Dix meet their father’s “other woman,” Navid and Silver bond over porn, Naomi plays with Oscar, Jen makes me want to call child services, and… Joe Jonas shows up?

Why is Joe Jonas in West Bev? Read on for the full recap and review!

Dancing with the Stars – Recap & Review – Week 8

Dancing with the Stars
Week 8

Original Air Date: Nov 8, 2010

Annette: Associate Staff Writer

It’s the quarterfinals. The five remaining celebrities danced two individual dances tonight: a ballroom round and a Latin round, which was also the instant dance round.

This is the first time that “instant dances” have been done on DWTS. Each couple has prepared a routine according to the style given them, but without the music. They received their song after they finished their first round dance. So much potential for train wrecks. So how did it go? Read on to find out…

Glee Give-Away

win this book

Congrats to Kim K for winning this give-away. Keep checking with TheTwoCents for more contests soon!

Are you in a ‘funk’ because we don’t have a Recap & Review for Glee this week? Well, that’s what happens when the show is in repeats.

Never fear though. We’re here to help you get out of the dumps. Starting today we’re going to give-away a copy of a new book entitled “Filled With Glee“.

The book, distributed by Smart Pop Books, is described as an unauthorized companion to the show. Is Sue is the true driving force behind Glee? Who the real alpha male in New Directions? Why do we really keep coming back to Glee week after week? From its quirky character insights to its inspirational, funny, and touching stories from fellow gleeks, “Filled with Glee” is the perfect companion for the fan who can’t get enough Glee.

“Filled with Glee” also includes a guide to putting together a glee club in your own school or community; an index of songs by episode; and the musical biographies of the main and guest actors (including where and when they’ve worked together before).

So, how do you win? It couldn’t be easier. Join us as a fan of TheTwoCents on Facebook and leave us a comment as to who your favorite Glee character is. One comment will be selected at random and win the book. Easy right? Yeah, we thought so. Rules listed below.

This show always makes me want to go on vacation! Until they uncover a dead body of course. We start with Danno getting his daughter out the door, but then he’s met by a sobbing neighbor Amy (played by the gorgeous Dichen Lachman) who’s husband is the dead guy from the luau.

Apparently there’s something shady going on with her husband’s death and the police department, since Danno was his former partner, she goes to him for help.

It’s all blissful in Mike and Molly world, but Mike snores. And with Molly staying over more often, she’s realizing that he’s not really prepared to have a woman at his place that often. From the gallon jug of mouthwash and the combo shampoo-conditioner-bodywash (that doubles as dish soap? Ick), Mike is need of an education.

photo: nbc

With the television landscape forever changing, daytime soap opera fans finally have received some happy news. According to the New York Times, NBC is announcing that Days of Our Lives has been renewed through 2013.

Serial dramas have long been struggling to keep their foothold on daytime’s audience. The past two years have seen long running sudsers Guiding Light and As The World Turns both canceled by CBS. Today marks the 45th anniversary for NBC’s sole remaining soap opera and viewers can now rejoice that it will still be around through at least it’s 47th anniversary!

The Walking Dead – Recap & Review – Guts

The Walking Dead
Guts

Original Air Date: 7 Nov, 2010

Rachel – Sr. Managing Editor
rachel@thetwocentscorp.com

When last we saw our hero, he was trapped in a tank surrounded by Walkers who were only slightly satisfied by a horse buffet. Not a good place to be. Lucky for Rick, there is Glenn. Glenn is a wily little guy who knows all the tricky ways around Dead’lanta. Think of Glenn as Data from The Goonies all grown up and facing a zombie apocalypse.

In a huge departure from the chronology of the graphic novel, Glenn talks Rick out of the tank and leads him to a department store (Hello, Dawn of the Dead, how are you?) where they meet up with the rest of a horribly dysfunctional group of humans. King of Dysfunction is an “inbred redneck racist” named Merle (Michael Rooker from Slither). Boy, he is an awful person. Aren’t these people supposed to be pulling together to fight the Dead, not each other? Yeah, Rick agrees with me. Merle ends up handcuffed to a pipe on the roof of the store after beating the snot out of a black guy names T-Dog and clocking Rick. Guess they’ll have to decide what to do with Merle later.

Farrah Kaye – Sr. Editor

Sarah and Kitty are both unemployed mothers who are in a rut. Mix them together with a depressed Kevin and recently divorced Justin and Nora’s kids are a big hot mess. But Nora is doing better than ever with her talk show “Dear Mom” and a new mysterious man at the station who is paying a lot of attention to her.

The biggest question is who is this man? And how will the Walker kids get out of their funks?
