Last week the show took a week off for election coverage. Hopefully the break won’t mean a drop in viewers- these next few weeks will probably determine whether it survives this season and gets a second.

This week gives us some unusual combinations of detectives. Mahajan is on his own. Washington is working with Longford. And Fitch, Stone and Sanchez are all together on a case with a possible love triangle motivation. Uh-oh.

How I Met Your Mother – Recap & Review – Natural History

How I Met Your Mother

Have you ever been to a super fancy party at a fancy place? I haven’t, but it’s something that is for sure on my bucket list. I’ve always wanted to get dressed up in a beautiful, expensive outfit and mingle around with many other people wearing beautiful, expensive outfits. I want to drink the never-ending Champagne and eat the fancy finger foods. Well, the gang of How I Met Your Mother got to do just that in this past episode.

Because the guys are all working at GNB, they had been invited to a big party at the Museum of Natural History. There were three storylines in this episode, so we’ll tackle them one by one. The first is Marshall and Lily’s storyline. Lily was still hoping that Marshall would end up quitting GNB fairly soon to work for the NRDC, but little did she know that Marshall was just offered a 5 year contract and he wasn’t planning on turning it down.

Two Cents & Five Questions with Anna (Biggest Loser)

Anna (photo: nbc)

Anna, Reality Contestant

On last week’s Biggest Loser, the Black team lost the weigh in and instead of voting off their weakest player, they voted off Anna, who knew it was coming. Her biggest regret was that she was losing her time with Jillian. She had already proven to herself that she could do it on her own, so she was ready to do it again. I got to talk to her about her time on the ranch and her routine at home.

The Two Cents: You already knew that you could handle the weight loss on your own, but you were still upset to be voted off the show. Was it because you were upset to leave Jillian?

In this week’s episode, Castle and Beckett end up trying to solve two intertwined cases. Their investigation into the death of a subway worker in Central Park leads them to a child abduction where time is of the essence and clues are few and far between.

It’s pretty dark in Central Park and two BMX bikers literally run into a body. Dude! Castle meets Beckett at the crime scene the next morning after Alexis introduces him to Ashley’s pet rat Theodore that she is pet-sitting. “What is the strangest pet you’ve ever had?” he asks Beckett. “You,” she replies.

The Canary Song

Tonight on Lie To Me, people lie. This week we touch on deaths in a mine. Timely, eh? We open on a miner named Brian complaining to his foreman, who they call Big Brother, about his check being short. Big Brother is really a jerk to him and insults him.

Next scene is Big Brother being locked in a tool room, with the methane levels raising. He gets an axe to try to get the door open. Spark and everything goes BOOM, killing him and five other miners who were on the way down.

Dancing with the Stars – Recap & Review – Week 8 Results

Dancing with the Stars
Week 8 Results

Original Air Date: Nov 9, 2010

The Quarterfinals was an awesome night of dancing. The stars all performed their ballroom round dances beautifully and all handled their “instant dance” performances very well. Lots of 10s were thrown around with Jennifer earning the first perfect score of the season.

Remember, Jennifer and Brandy are tied at the top of the leader board with Kyle just one point behind. Bristol is in last place, a full 10 points behind the leaders. After last week’s somewhat shocking elimination, will we be shocked once again? Read on to find out who went home.

Charlie Sheen is all over the news lately but that doesn’t stop Two and a Half Men from being hilarious (or stop filming). However, there is something odd going on with inconsistent episodes. Last week, Charlie ditched a decent relationship for Rose, who had a fake wedding.

And this week? We get Evelyn’s birthday, a drugged-up pharmacist and a, uh, happy something for someone. With no Rose!

House
Office Politics

Original Air Date: Nov 8, 2010

Shannon – Associate Editor
shannon@thetwocentscorp.com

We open on Harold Anderson and his campaign manager, Joe Dugan (Jack Coleman), arguing over a leaked tv campaign ad. Joe starts scratching his arm like mad. He’s got a crazy rash on his arm and Anderson decides to call an ambulance.

Cuddy hires a young female doctor named Martha Masters (Amber Tamblyn). House is not thrilled. She’s a third year med student and she’s brilliant but House doesn’t like her, of course. House sends Foreman, Taub, and Martha to the patient’s house to search for toxins. They pick the lock but Martha is horrified. She can’t even come in the house because she thinks it’s wrong. See, Martha Masters has morals. Oh dear, are we looking at another Cameron? That would be a bad, bad thing.
