Rachel here, pinch-hitting for Farrah who is off having a good time watching cars turn left all weekend. Whatever floats your boat, right? Right. But today, we’re talking about a different race. And I hear it’s amazing.

The 8th leg of the race started in St. Petersburg, Russia, but didn’t stay there for long; clue #1 told the teams to fly to Muscat, Oman. The following is the rundown of what happened in the episode using my list of The Top Six Things I learned from The Amazing Race 17.

My Two Cents – Cancellation Crisis: A TV Fanatic’s Nightmare

Is there anything worse than getting invested in a new show, only to see it cancelled long before it’s time? Yes, FOX, we’re talking to you. As Joss Whedon fans, you will always be on our hit list. The man is a genius and you’d think you’d learn by now.

One of our biggest cancellation heart breaks was and always will be Firefly. All hail, Browncoats! That decision wasn’t very shiny, FOX. And don’t even get us started on Family Guy. You cancelled it twice! But at least you came to your senses and Seth McFarlane now owns Sunday nights.

Annette here filling in while Farrah is off for the week.  Luc’s mother is in town and she’s turning the Walker’s world upside down.  This of course makes for some drama, but also for some very funny moments.

However, for an episode about Luc and his family, there’s not a whole lot of Luc time.  And there’s something weird going on with Justin.  Read on to find out more.

It’s Thanksgiving on Wisteria Lane.  Unfortunately, it’s a whole lot of drama at dinner instead of family loving.

Susan, in still the worst career move ever, is at odds with Lynette.  Beth and Paul are getting closer, and it’s tearing Beth and Mama apart.  Bree tries to make nice with Mary, but it backfires.  And Gaby gets the Sanchez family in trouble with the law…

Dexter has searched for someone who can understand him since season two. But in hoping for allies, he found Lila and Miguel who turned out to be off the path Dexter sees as proper for serial killers. All along he’s had “Ghost” Harry who is really just his subconscious. But now he’s found Lumen. Is she the partner he’s been searching for?

Lumen saw Dexter’s dark passenger when he killed Boyd Fowler and Dan the Dentist. But is she aware of the full extent of what she’s in for? This week her eyes may be opened further than ever before…

Supernatural – Recap & Review – All Dogs Go to Heaven

Supernatural
All Dogs Go to Heaven

Original Air Date: Nov 12, 2010

Dean’s right. I’ll never look at dogs the same way again. Thank you Supernatural for ruining a childhood memory involving my cousin’s German Shepherd. Amos was cute and sometimes bald when we shaved off his coat. Now I’ll always wonder whether deep inside that cuddly exterior was a soulless killing machine. You heard me. Man’s best friend could be waiting to sink his teeth into you.

Now I know you were thinking during “Twihard” where the werewolves were. According to Sam they’ve been running around moon-less since the supposed end of the world (I say supposed because, well, everyone’s still alive aren’t they?). Crowley shows up and points the Dynamic Duo towards a string of animal attacks. Mangled bodies and heart missing? Like Sam and Dean, I thought werewolf too.

CSI: NY – Recap & Review – Scared Stiff

Scared Stiff

Original Air Date: Nov 12, 2010

Maria – TwoCents Reviewer

Looks like a spooky special, I’m having flashbacks to Halloween. The episode begins with a close-up of the victim. Her eyes are open wide and blood-shot, her hair is pale blonde, her skin is white and her lips are blue. She’s sat down with her knees brought up to her chest. Her clothes are all white, as are her shoes. She looks terrified. With rigor set in, she is stiff. She is a visual Title Drop and to make matters worse, the cause of death is proving hard to track down so it also looked like she was frightened to death too.

The CSIs don’t have much to work with, gaining most of the evidence from the victim’s hair and clothing. She looks to have been redressed and there is a yellow stain on the back of her dress. The CSIs search Central Park for more information.

Welcome to part one of Degrassi’s fall finale! Teen pregnancy, daytime nocturnal emissions, acoustic duets, new rivalries, secret crushes, school sanctioned functions, and wishing stars! This half hour has everything one could want from your favorite Canadian teen melodrama.

This episode ranged from embarrassing to delusional with a touch of sass thrown in for good measure. But as part one of the two part finale, it needed to leave us wanting more. Did it accomplish its goal?
