In real life when something traumatic occurs, we don’t just shake it off. It can stay with us for months, years, or forever. And it affects others around us. While one tries to recover, another may be trying to figure out how out how to refocus, rebuild, and possibly re-imagine the life they had planned.

Private Practice is taking the time to tell aftermath of Charlotte’s attack. It’s not going away after a “Very Special Episode” and we viewers are bearing witness to her painful process. But we’re also watching Cooper unravel while dealing with his lack of ability to fix Charlotte. Charlotte’s exterior wounds from her rape appear to have mostly healed, but it’s clear to everyone she’s still in pain. But is it really always darkest before the dawn?

AMC Begins Production on The Killing

photo: amc

AMC begins production today in Vancouver on the network’s next original series, “The Killing.” From writer, executive producer and series’ showrunner Veena Sud (“Cold Case”), “The Killing” is based on the wildly successful Danish television series “Forbrydelsen.” It tells the story of the murder of a young girl in Seattle and the subsequent police investigation. Produced by Fox Television Studios, it is executive produced by Mikkel Bondesen (“Burn Notice”) for Fuse Entertainment. Fuse’s Kristen Campo co-produces. Season one consists of thirteen, one-hour episodes and is slated to premiere in March 2011.

“‘The Killing’ marks the first foray into a crime mystery genre for AMC. “We were drawn to the project immediately after viewing the original format. Veena’s adaptation has everything we loved about the original and more – it is compelling and addictive storytelling,” said Susie Fitzgerald, AMC’s SVP of scripted development and current programming. “We could also not be more impressed with the level of talent that we have working on it from our amazing cast and crew to our dedicated partners at FTVS and Fuse.”

Survivor – Recap & Review – You Started, You’re Finishing

You Started, You’re Finishing

Original Air Date: Dec 1, 2010

Ryan O – Two Cents Reviewer

The low down Well, there’s no voting on this episode but there’s still a lot of drama about who will go and who will stay because something unprecedented happens on this episode. Also, Naonka comes across as heartless and despicable human being again some more. But that’s completely in line with established precedent.

Pre-credits: Purple Kelly tells Naonka that she didn’t know what was going on during the previous Tribal Council where Brenda was voted. She solo-views, rather astutely, that she’s going to be at the bottom of any alliance she joins at this point (I wonder if this plays into her thinking later in the episode?). Naonka solo-views that she doesn’t know what literally means by way of saying that Brenda literally threw her under the bus and ran over her with it and then backed-up over her. Chase talks to her about the two of them and Holly and Jane sticking together. They realize they might have to blindside Sash since he has an idol.

Law & Order SVU – Recap & Review – Rescue

Law & Order SVU
Rescue

Original Air Date: Dec 1, 2010

Caitlin- Associate Staff Writer

For their last episode of 2010, SVU appeared to be…well, I guess they were trying to go out in a bang. They really seemed determined to outdo themselves in terms of bewildering plot twists and emotional endings, anyway.

It doesn’t help that the victim who opens the episode is named Caitlin. She’s at a party, seemingly passed out while other guests write on her face. But when the host, Jill, comes in to check on her, there’s blood all over the back of her head and neck.

My Two Cents: My Girlfriends Boyfriend

Dec 2,2010

I would like to take this opportunity to tell you about a wonderful film I have just seen. Just released on iTunes is My Girlfriends Boyfriend starring Alyssa Milano (Charmed), Christopher Gorham (Covert Affairs), Michael Landes and Beau Bridges . It is written and directed by Daryn Tufts. Now I know , that you know, that I am a big fan of Gorham’s and all, and you think that is the only reason I saw this movie…true! But let me just say this: I know you will love it too. This is a great story and a wonderful twist at the end that I know you will not be disappointed.

Dear TV Claus…

Hi gang! Happy Holidays to you all! For the month of December, the crew here at TheTwoCents.com will be writing our letters to TV Claus. A powerful being who transcends all beliefs to bring us the wonderment of good television. You’ll see a new letter to TV Claus almost daily here and we hope you’ll chime in your TwoCents to TV Claus too!

Dear TVClaus,

I don’t ask for much. I’m kind to others and try to behave as best as I can. I think I’ve been a good girl this year, so I have just a few TV wishes.

1. Please, please, please give Joss Whedon a new show on a network that’s not FOX. The world seems empty without a Whedonverse show to watch. An extra bonus would be at least one musical episode please!

2. I hear that the new Charlie’s Angels has been greenlit officially. Please get the message to the powers that be to cast Jewel Staite, Summer Glau and Kristen Bell as the Angels. And I think that either Alexis Denisof or Anthony Stewart Head would make a good Charlie. I’ll let you decide.

3. Please make sure that Sam gets his soul back on Supernatural. I don’t like unfeeling Sam. I want my roasted marshmallow Sam back. And while you’re at it, give Bobby his back too. He doesn’t owe it for awhile yet, but that was a raw deal and you know it. Kissing Crowley was punishment enough.

4. Last, but not least, please don’t let Sweets be killed off Bones! I love John Francis Daley and the show wouldn’t be the same without our lovable FBI shrink.

Thank you, TVClaus!

Love,
Anne
