What if? That is a term used by everybody in life. What if your life had taken a different turn, what would it be like? Would you still be around the friends and family that you love? The actions we take and the decisions we make determine who we become as people.

So what if Clark Kent was never found by Jonathan and Martha in that cornfield? What if Lionel Luthor found him and raised him as his own son alongside Lex Luthor? What a world it would be, and in this week’s episode of Smallville you will get a chance to discover that world…hold on tight, it’s going to be a bumpy ride.

Welcome back to Mystic Falls! In our first post-hiatus episode, we have a lot to cover.

As (Santa) Klaus inches closer to town, Elena gets crafty (although she remains bizarrely determined to martyr herself), Caroline and Tyler find a high-tech hint of what’s to come, Bonnie has a braingasm, and Jeremy ruins everything.

Read on for the full recap and review!

It’s that time of year! Our last new episode of Outsourced of the year! Tonight we have Rajiv really going power crazy, Todd losing his lunch and Tonya going away. Yay! Oh, and are you ready for some football?

Todd has some Texas BarBQ shipped over, but when they open the package, it’s crawling with flying cockroaches. No ribs for you! One of the roaches flies into Rajiv’s shirt and he panics. Manmeet and Asha begin hitting him to try to kill the bug. Gupta really wants to hit him, too.

Once they were attached to the hip – dark and twisty – but nowadays they don’t even talk to each other anymore. Who could have expected that to happen. Trauma can throw your life completely upside down and inside out. How people deal with it is personal, no two humans are the same, and while they might have seen the same thing happen, it affects them in different ways. While Meredith is functioning normally, Cristina is not dealing with her problems. She’s running away from them. She’s quit her job and doesn’t talk to her ‘person’. It is as if she has checked out.

Cristina was the most driven and talented doctor-to-be. But nowadays she’s wasting her talents. Derek and Owen (both for their own reasons) are worried about her. Derek for some reason asked Cristina to go fishing with him and she agreed. Meredith thinks that Cristina won’t show up but she does and she is better prepared than expected. She researched fishing online after Derek’s call.

Peter knows. But what to do? He rifles trough her desk drawers, tries to hack into her computer, but no joy. Then she wakes up… and he tests her. He quotes something to her in Greek; something she quoted to him back in Season 1. She doesn’t recognize it. Now he knows for sure. The problem is she knows he knows. Anyone’s brain hurt yet?

With her cover blown, Fauxlivia escapes and heads to the typewriter store requesting an extraction. When she gets her marching orders (Penn Station at 4:00), she is told to get one last thing: a part of the Dooms Day Machine.

It is a truth universally acknowledged that sometimes, growing up sucks. In a fun, bittersweet episode, Troy turns 21 and realizes some hard truths about life: Jeff and Britta aren’t as wise and all knowing as he thought (I could have told him that) and that alcohol is “like the Lifetime movies of beverages.”

Since Troy is a Jehovah’s Witness, instead of throwing a birthday party for him, the gang respectfully assembles to merely note a random numeric day that happens to coincide with his “expulsion from the uterus.” Awww, doesn’t that just give you the warm and fuzzies?

For me, this was just hard to watch. First of all, why do they try so hard to have Temp attempt to be funny…it’s not working people! As for the Booth/Hannah/Bones….well, I really hope the writers have a better turn of events for the shippers of Booth and Bones, that is better than how Ugly Betty writers messed up the Betty/Henry ship! Yep, I’m still a bit bitter over that one!

Dwight is picking up things with his bare feet to sharpen his dexterity with his feet. Jim instigates by bringing Dwight a cup of hot coffee. Dwight picks it up with his feet and spills it all over himself which was the purpose to begin with. Awesome.

Dwight owns the building in case you forgot. He’s freezing them, selling them overpriced pastries, and turning out the lights in order to save money. He’s also cutting back and getting one ply toilet paper.  That is just wrong, Dwight.

Dear TV Claus…

Hi gang! Happy Holidays to you all! For the month of December, the crew here at TheTwoCents.com will be writing our letters to TV Claus. A powerful being who transcends all beliefs to bring us the wonderment of good television. You’ll see a new letter to TV Claus almost daily here and we hope you’ll chime in your TwoCents to TV Claus too!

Dear TV Claus,

First, thank you for granting last years wish. I am really enjoying the new Hawaii Five-O. I have been really, really good this year, and have some new wishes on my list:

1. Can you please give Cat Deely from So You Think You Can Dance an Emmy, or at least a nomination?

2. Glee has just gotten good again. Can you keep it that way?

3. Can you put Sookie and Eric from True Blood together? Or Sookie and Alcide? I like Bill, but I’d love to see her with someone else to spice things up.

4. Speaking of True Blood, can you keep Lafayette awesome? If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.

5. Last but not least, please make Brooke Elliot from Drop Dead Diva a superstar. She totally deserves it.

Thanks TV Claus, I’ll make sure to leave the set on when you stop by.

Your friend,
Jake

At the start of this oddly titled episode, Tracy’s “son” Donald comes to Jack with a business proposal since his Tracy Jordan Institute of Karate failed: a theme restaurant in Times Square. Jack is, predictably, unenthusiastic about the idea.

Elsewhere, Jenna and her transvestite Jenna impersonator boyfriend are planning their 6-month anniversary celebration, and Jenna is hopeful he will propose they make a sex tape to celebrate their love and then leak it to the media. And who says romance is dead?
