Whew! What a way to start an episode: Alicia having a sex dream about Will (fanning myself). I love how they do sex on this series, showing just enough to be hot and steamy but still leaving a lot to our imaginations.

Then the phone wakes Alicia and the LGB team starts a game of beating the clock. They have nine hours to come up with a piece of missing evidence or a man will perish on death row. How’s that for major tension?

We open on a seemingly unintelligible man as he wakes up, grunts, stumbled out of bed, grunts, trips over a baseball bat, grunts… I’m sure you get the picture. He keeps grunting until he’s got his morning paper, found a CD inside with the instructions “play me”. The CD shows a man dressed in black, breaking into the home, leaving the baseball bat and holding a knife to the grunty man’s neck as he slept. Grunty man, also known as Navy Petty Officer Jerry Neisler, finally speaks.

Dear TV Claus…

Hi gang! Happy Holidays to you all! For the month of December, the crew here at TheTwoCents.com will be writing our letters to TV Claus. A powerful being who transcends all beliefs to bring us the wonderment of good television. You’ll see a new letter to TV Claus almost daily here and we hope you’ll chime in your TwoCents to TV Claus too!

Dear TV Claus,

I’ve been a really good girl this year so for Christmas:

1. Can you please get USA Network to lengthen their season for Covert Affairs and White Collar?

2. Get Bones to see how stupid she was not to accept Booth’s love.

3. Can you put Auggie Anderson under my mistletoe?

4. Make Ben Mercer go away!

Thanks!
Karen

How I Met Your Mother – Recap & Review – False Positive

How I Met Your Mother
False Positive

Original Air Date: Dec 13, 2010

Faye O- Senior Reviewer

Finally!  An episode of How I Met Your Mother that reminds us of early seasons and the original concept of the show!  From what I remember, it’s been since the episode Three Days of Snow since we’ve had an episode where we go back in time within only a matter of two or three days.  In life, it’s true, lots can happen in only 72 hours, but for the gang, more than a lot happened in each of their lives.

Marshall and Lily were taking a pregnancy test.  After a LONG two minutes of waiting for a response, they find out that they’re pregnant.  They rush to tell the gang, and celebrate for a few days, until they find out that they’re not pregnant.  What none of us knew, is that each of the group, Ted, Marshall, Lily, Robin, and Barney all went through some major changes during the time they thought Marshall and Lily were pregnant by re-examining their lives and deciding if what they’re doing is right.

Jane Lynch is known for many roles, most widely as Sue Sylvester on Glee. But she’s also popped up on other primetime shows, including Two and a Half Men, playing Charlie’s therapist.

Tonight she comes back after Charlie and Courtney break up and Charlie tries to figure out what has gone wrong in his life. Courtney isn’t the first to break up with him, he enjoys hookers, professed his love for a stalker and you know the rest. What can be funnier than all that? Alan and Charlie watching Glee together! (Yep, they cross-network reference.)

Christmas episode! I just love when shows do Christmas episodes, don’t you? Believe it or not, Adam was the character I liked best this week. The work Christmas party is the theme of the night and Russ is determined to ruin everyone’s holiday…no surprise there. Audrey thinks she is the funny one of the couple, which Jeff states he is. I will keep this short and sweet and tell you what I think are the best parts of the show…ok?
