The Bravermans are back! After more than a month, one of television’s most endearing families are back to welcome us to share their love, heartache, headaches, and a dead bird.

Yes, a dead bird. In addition to the unfortunate feathered friend, tonight’s episode also brought us beer, dating drama, messy rooms, and Lauren Graham’s amazing cry-face. And, most amazingly of all, it finally brought us a little more of the underutilized Miles Heizer, as Drew finally got a storyline!

After a few weeks off for the holidays, How I Met Your Mother came back with a bang. The whole episode was great, and then the writers and actors wowed viewers with a storyline that has never been experimented with on the show. It was as if it was the end of a countdown, which it actually was. Before I get started, I wanted to see if anyone else noticed the numbers counting down from 50 to 1 in the episode, starting with the pamphlet in the doctor’s office to the cab number Lily was in at the end of the episode. It was quite clever, but if you were like me, you didn’t notice them the first time around; you were too drawn in by the content of the episode. Let’s take a look, shall we?

Man, what an episode last night! I am so sad that next season is the last season because last nights episode opened up all kinds of story lines! Brenda deals with an unusual case and for the first time in a long time, a member of her team doesn’t agree with her decisions.

Gwyneth Paltrow Hosts Saturday Night Live on January 15 With Musical Guest Cee Lo Green

paltrow

From Entertainment Weekly:

After performing a censored version of his hit song “F— You” on Glee, Gwyneth Paltrow will appear alongside singer Cee Lo Green when she hosts Saturday Night Live January 15.

Paltrow recently hinted that the two may even duet together on the show, telling Good Morning America, “We’re sort of emailing each other, we don’t know where that’s gonna go. But I am such a big fan of Cee Lo, he is so gorgeous and talented and amazing. We’ll see.”

The actress shows off her vocal talent in the film, Country Strong due out January 7. Cee Lo Green will be making his SNL debut, while Gwyneth takes her third turn at hosting.

My Two Cents: Guest starring on Glee was a very smart career move for Gwyneth Paltrow, and it’ll be fun to see her duet with Cee Lo.

Will you be watching?

Happy New Year! Can you believe it’s 2011!? The year starts off right (for me anyhow) with a new episode of Mike & Molly. The show has really grown on me, and I’m excited to see where they take it. We start in the diner with Mike, Carl and Samuel. Mike is sick. He has no appetite, which is a sure sign of the apocalypse. Carl knows that he’s sick, there’s lots of signs, and Carl wants him to take a day off.
