The Good Wife– Recap & Review – Two Courts

The Good Wife
Two Courts

Original Air Date: Jan 18, 2011

Patricia Morris Buckley —Sr. Staff Writer

I have to say that I was a bit confused by this episode. It seemed so much about the political shenanigans of the characters that the ending felt like a severe case of whiplash — that’s how much the court verdict came out of the blue.

We start by meeting jury consultant Medina, whose only ability is to read the jury’s “micro-expressions,” whatever those are — and we hear a lot about them throughout the hour. Amazingly, he gets $60,000 A WEEK! But the client is wealthy, so they sign Medina up for two weeks.

NCIS: Los Angeles – Recap & Review – Archangel

NCIS: Los Angeles

Having survived flooding, severe thunderstorms (which included flash flooding) and now hail, I come to you with a belated review of LA. Only to discover that the show has quickly become a PSA announcement to remind everyone that there is still a war being fought in Afghanistan, and that the intelligence hierarchy still finds itself unable to prevent classified intel from falling into the wrong hands. At least this week they decided to stir things up bit and make the antagonist not Middle Eastern and/or a terrorist. Oh, did I mention that Sam dies?

CBS Announces the Cast for The Amazing Race: Unfinished Business

photo: cbs

Eleven former Teams who fell short of winning the $1 million prize during their first Race around the globe will return for another shot on THE AMAZING RACE: UNFINISHED BUSINESS, premiering Sunday, Feb. 20 (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT). Phil Keoghan is the host.

This season, the multi Emmy Award-winning series will be broadcast in HD for the first time as the Racers travel 40,000 miles through five continents and 23 cities. Teams begin their journey around the globe from the second-windiest place on the planet, and travel to such picturesque locations as Sydney, Australia, where they find themselves swimming with sharks; Liechtenstein, where they must measure the length of the entire country while riding a motorized bicycle; and Tokyo, Japan, where they must endure the freezing waters from Mount Fuji as part of a spiritual ritual.

THE AMAZING RACE: UNFINISHED BUSINESS features fan favorites from previous seasons, including the cowboys, former NFL cheerleaders, the Harlem Globetrotters and the Goths.

Following are the 11 teams, listed in no particular order:

KPonTV on ER: The Complete Fourteenth Season DVD

photo: warner brothers

At an ER party, Nurse Chuny Marquez recalls, “I still remember when Mark Green and Doug Ross were running the place.” “Who?” asks a newcomer.

So much has happened in 14 seasons, so many people have come and gone, but the chaos of saving lives and the dedication of the people who make County General run remain. In this penultimate season of the powerful, award-winning series, personal tragedies threaten – and sometimes strengthen – relationships among the staff.

The patients bring their own compelling stories. A boy genius diagnoses his mysterious illness, a cancer-ridden prison doctor is haunted by the men he put to death, a woman arrives in the ER expecting her 13th baby. Triumph, loss, tears, joy…next!

And of course – John Stamos!

SouthLAnd – Recap & Review – Discretion

SouthLAnd
Discretion

Original Air Date: Jan 18, 2011

Farrah Kaye – Sr. Editor
farrah@thetwocentscorp.com

SouthLAnd is about partnerships and trust. If those are missing, there is nothing. This week, we learn that lesson better than ever.

Josie and Lydia don’t get along – there is zero trust there. Josie thinks she is better than Lydia while Lydia knows her way around a case (not to mention Russ is still coming around). Sherman has his own issues going on when someone from his past comes around and he lies to Cooper about it. Sammy is living with Nate while he and Tammi hash out their issues so they’re a bit too close for comfort. How does this all pan out? In SouthLAnd style, of course!

Opening Scene: Cooper and Sherman come upon a couple fighting in a hallway. The man goes into a room and digs through a drawer. Sherman yells at him to put his hands up while Cooper yells at him “we’ve got background!” Sherman then fights with the man and they both go flying through a glass door.

Voiceover: All cops have to make judgment calls they hope they won’t regret. No cop ever bats a thousand.

Tonight the world’s longest gestating elementary school production finally comes to fruition. Yes, it is time to finally see “The History of California”. How excited are you?

NBC announced today that Parenthood is staying put on Tuesday nights for the rest of the season (and not moving to Mondays). Hopefully the stability helps the “little show that should” garner a third season. There’s been no word on an early pick-up, so keep watching and make sure to let NBC know you love the Bravermans.

Molly Makes Soup

rachelm@thetwocentscorp.com

Mike is enjoying Molly’s soup, and her company, while they stay in. Molly is deeply concerned that they may never leave the house again though. Then Vince shows up to pick up her mom, he is…special. Joyce looks fab, and Joyce tells Mike and Molly that Vince has offered to buy her breast implants. Molly is repulsed by him, understandably so, and when she tries to talk to Mike about it, he isn’t really paying attention. Uh oh, is the honeymoon over? Continue reading
