In case y’all were wondering, the delayed posting of this recap is most certainly not because I took Pierce’s message to heart. Drugs are bad and, clearly, Chang has done too many of ‘em.

Troy and Abed. Dressed as bees. This is the most adorable sight ever. Troy and Abed (aka Buzzby and Bubbleton) are rehearsing for their roles in Annie’s production of a “Just Say No”-type play for a group of visiting at risk children visiting (of all places) Greendale.

The Seminar

Cold open:  Michael Scott runs into David Brent (Ricky Gervais) who is getting off the elevator.  They totally hit it off because they are, in fact, the same person.
(watch video here)

Andy has decided to put on a seminar on how to make money but it’s really just a scheme to sell paper to them.  He has a bunch of the office staff participating. Michael is the plant and his job is to make the seminar leader look good.  Michael is playing the role of Mykonos The Greek.  Jim sees someone come in for the seminar that causes him to invent some off site meeting.  Andy’s team of Stanley, Phyllis and Jim are out so Andy’s scrambling. Jim was supposed to be the comedy warm up guy so Andy recruits Kevin to do that part then he gets Ryan and Creed to join up.  This is going to be a bigger disaster than it started out being.

American Idol – Recap & Review – Milwaukee

Has Randy become the new Simon? In Milwaukee he was rather rude and unkind to several contestants (“It’s terrible,” he told more than one contestant).

Or maybe he just seemed that way because Steven and J. Lo are so warm and sweet.

Off the Map – Recap & Review – A Doctor Time Out

Off the Map
A Doctor Time Out

Original Air Date: Jan 26, 2010

Meg – Staff Writer
meg@thetwocentscorp.com

In a merciful coincidence, the very week I commit to go a little easier on Off the Map, the show gives us an episode that’s miles better than the first two installments. Don’t get me wrong—I’m not ready to start handing out Golden Globes or anything, but I really thought tonight’s episode was much more nuanced and compelling. Or maybe I just got distracted by the all-consuming adorableness that is Zach Gilford.

Read on for the full recap and review!

Comedic actor/producer/writer Will Ferrell will guest-star over an arc of episodes on NBC’s Emmy Award-winning “The Office” (Thursdays, 9-9:30 p.m. ET) as a branch manager who arrives from the home office and proves to be just as inappropriate as Michael (Golden Globe winner Steve Carell).

Sometimes a half hour of television is so enjoyable that you’re not even sure if you can do it justice by explaining it. Tonight, Do We Have To Do This Joke Forever Cougar Town hit so many right notes, it could have successfully auditioned for American Idol.

Big present day, friend tests, Penny Can (aka tossing copper), Barb!, Smith!, Beef and Bubbles, sex chopsticks, and Sardines in a Can… this may be the most meta and inside jokey that the show has even been, but –woo!hoo!- it totally worked!

Are you ready for some flashbacks? Tonight we get to see how everyone met and how Neal knows Vincent Adler (Andrew McCarthy). With extra facial hair and a really bad toupee, it’s quite an entertaining hour.

Peter is searching for Adler and having no luck. He goes to Neal with cheap wine and beer and we get treated to a story. Peter gives Neal complete immunity until sunrise so he can be honest.
