With Valentine’s Day around the corner, it’s only fitting that this episode of The Vampire Diaries is chock full of hearts. Unfortunately, it turns out that most of those hearts are being ripped still-beating from their occupants. Surprised? C’mon y’all—this is Mystic Falls—were you expecting candy?

Hey, Human Beings!  Meg’s having a crazy week so I’m covering for her tonight.  I’m super excited because Community is one of my all time favorite shows.  If I have one complaint about the show it’s that they don’t have Joel McHale in his undies nearly often enough, but I digress.  Let’s get to the action this week, shall we?

The Office – Recap & Review – PDA

Cold open: Darryl’s 97 year old grandmother died and the office thought it was a birthday card instead of a condolence card.  Ooh, wow.  I don’t even know what to say about that.

Holly and Michael are very schmoopy in the middle of the office and everyone looks pretty uncomfortable.  Seriously though, it’s pretty gross.

This episode is about two Fs: fondue and Fallon. They make fondue for the Quickfire and they cook for Jimmy Fallon for the Elimination Challenge.

The episode also emphasizes the fact that Carla is awesome. You also start to wonder why Mike is still hanging around. Not only is he annoying, he’s not making good food.

Law & Order SVU – Recap & Review – Spectacle

I always like the episodes of SVU where the detectives track down a perpetrator in “real time”. There’s a fast-paced, exciting feel to them. But this one also has an unexpected motive in the cold case of a kidnapped boy.

Several college students are watching a university intranet feed. They are horrified to see a man attacking a woman, but all assume someone else will call 911. And so we get our first introduction to one of this episode’s themes, the bystander effect.

So I’ve been out of it for the last few episodes, so let’s catch up. The show seems to want to make Reid crazy, which is making me irritated, and Prentiss is in trouble, which is making me depressed. This season has actually been a little hard to watch, and I’m sure that I’m not the only one who feels that way.

But we have a new episode to review, so let’s not delay.

Pilots are tough things, especially in the half hour format. There’s got to be some excuse for the pilot of Mr. Sunshine and that’s the one I’m pickin’.

I base my theory on the pilot of Cheers, which was only so-so. And we all know how quickly that died (not!). It’s just difficult to fit in all that back story, character development and world building in 22 minutes.

Blue Bloods – Recap & Review – My Funny Valentine

It’s Valentine’s Day for our favorite cop family. So what does that mean? Cases galore! With a side of love, of course.

A few weeks back, Erin got smoochy-smoochy with Bobby, I mean Rosselini, and it was never revisited. Maybe this week we’ll get more of that? But first, Danny and Jackie get a case of a kidnapped girl while Frank gets involved in a case he really shouldn’t. And Jamie? Well it’s an off week for him so I’m sure no Templar story.

A Man Walks Into a Bar…

Maria – TwoCents Reviewer

This is a tricky episode to recap, because it’s a flashback episode. There is a case though, the death of a marine Vincent Reynolds who has been shot in his bunk. Our NCIS Agents have to solve this mystery, but there is an unusual obstacle to overcome.

Having avoided psyche evaluations on nine separate times, Vance finally relents and decides to let Dr. Rachel Cranston have her wicked way with the NCIS team. How will the team cope with solving the case, whilst being psychoanalyzed?
