It’s a rare feat for an episode to both gross me out and—seconds later—make me cry. Darn you, Off the Map! I feel so manipulated…

We pick up where we left off last episode, with the rescue helicopter going down in the jungle, with six unlucky souls aboard. The team (minus Lily who is still having sexy waterfall time with Matteo) races to the crash site. Miraculously, everyone is alive, although in various stages of disrepair.

The low down This was mostly an episode that sets thing up for future episodes. It sets up for Russell for elimination in the near-future. It sets up Rob as being even more in control of his tribe than he was before. It sets up a surprising duel on Redemption Island. Surprisingly, it also sets Phillip up as slightly less crazy.

Pre-credits: We start on Redemption Island as Francesca gets there and tries to settle in. She looks to see what she has for supplies. She says she’s glad not to be going back to camp with Phillip. Ain’t that the truth because AWKWARD.

There was so much to dislike in this episode: a new and completely different reason to hate Mike; Paula Deen; Carla not cooking well; the return of Marcel; and the elimination of someone other than Mike.

Quickfire Ugh. Paula Deen is in the kitchen for the Quickfire. Do not like. I don’t like her food. I like her schtick even less. The challenge is to make something using the deep fryer. The winner gets $5,000.

A male voice over is interviewing a woman who at first has seemingly been attacked, she’s asked questions which would have usually been asked by a police officer. Up until that moment the images show exactly what you think has happened. A woman – at a hotel – steps onto an elevator followed by a handsome looking man, they kiss and retreat to his hotel room.

But the questions change and instead of being asked what happened she’s asked how it felt. How it made her feel. The man praises her for what she did. The woman stabbed the man she met on the elevator and watched him as he blew out his last breath.

Remember The Devil Wears Prada? Well, tonight’s episode of SVU was a lot like that. I mean, it was wine instead of fashion, but besides that, the lack of nearly all humor and the considerable amount of blood, they were very similar. Ahem.

An art patron compliments an artist on his work, but he’s a bit confused on the piece she’s referring to, probably because it’s actually the blood of a dead woman seeping through the room above onto the walls.

A double episode! That should be a good thing at this point, but not when the first one showed us 20 minutes of Ashley Sullivan rushing to a Vegas chapel to get married (the same one her “hero” Britney Spears used — I guess that’s why she’s so nutso—she’s just emulating her hero).

The second episode showed us a teaser of J.Lo breaking down time after time after time (was it six or seven times?). Then we saw it for real for 10 minutes.

TwoCents & Five Questions With Henry Winkler

Winkler

Henry Winkler, Actor

I was able to talk to Henry Winkler from Royal Pains and I must say, this is one of the best conversations that I have ever had the privilege to be part of. Henry is one of the most genuinely kind hearted actor in Hollywood. Many of you know him as Fonzie from Happy days, but like Henry says: he is nothing like Fonzie. “Fonzie was a cool Italian and I am a short Jew.” I laughed pretty hard at that one.

Chris Gorham had this to say of his father from Out Of Practice:Henry Winkler is one of the kindest and most thoughtful men I know. Not bad to look at either. 🙂

Yvette Brown said: Henry Winkler is the sweetest soul alive. #PureLove no matter who you are!

So you see, I was just able to get a glimpse of the man that actors get the pleasure of working with. He is so compassionate about all that he does and I really hope you like the interview as much as I did. I have more than the standard 5 questions because there was so much I wanted to share with you.

TheTwoCents: How did you initially get involved with working on Royal Pains?

Welcome to Cycle 16 of America’s Next Top Model (ANTM)! Tyra comes on screen and tells us things are a little different this cycle. We won’t see the typical panel castings tonight. Then she goes on to mock the different types of contestants we see. It’s actually quite amusing.

This is going to be a regular episode. The 14 contestants who made it were tricked into thinking that they didn’t make it, but Tyra dropped a curtain and they were in the Top Model House.
