Cold open: Dwight has to eat all his canned disaster rations that are about to expire so he’s shoveling in pickled okra out of tins and 8 year old canned tomatoes.  It grosses out the staff, naturally. Then Jim messes with him and it’s really not funny and just sad.

Michael is talking with Todd Packer who wants to come back to the Scranton branch. Holly meets with Todd Packer and hires him back as a permanent office staff member and Michael asks the staff to welcome him back. The staff is less than thrilled. They all know what a huge jerk he is and how Michael idolizes him.

After two nights and plenty of drama, we have our Top 24. And it’s a nice mix of talented and unique singers.

Every one of them seems to have something that makes them different, not merely package artists, that have dominated the last two or three years, and we can thank the judging panel for that.

This week Todd finds out what happens when people stop being polite and steal his employees. What makes it worse is that it’s someone close to him. What does he do to get even? And why does Gupta need 20,000 rupees? My poor little man.

Let’s jump right in to see the outcome. Ladies and gentleman, Outsourced.

Wishes Do Come True III – Adam Goldberg Returning to TV!

Adam's back!

Last month, we posted a piece about people we miss on our TV, and shortly thereafter it was announced that Kristen Bell might be returning to television. Then news came about Norm MacDonald. And now it appears another of our wishes are coming true, as our very own Theresa’s pick looks to be making a comeback as well.

According to Entertainment Weekly, Adam Goldberg has been cast in the new CBS cop drama, The Rookies.

“The show is about six NYPD newbie cops who balance their personal lives with learning the mean streets of Manhattan. Goldberg plays Lazarus, a laid-off reporter turned rookie cop who still has his street connections and can pull in good intel. Rookies is executive produced by Robert DeNiro, Richard Price and Jane Rosenthal. Goldberg previously played a detective in ABC’s The Unusuals.”

MyTwoCents: CBS + crime procedural + Robert DeNiro producing? Sounds like a successful formula to me!

Hi everyone! I’m Valentina and I’m a new recruit to the TwoCents team. I’ll be covering Season 3 of Parks and Recreation and I’m excited take you all through life in Pawnee!

Five episodes have aired so far and a lot has happened. Fresh off the Pawnee government being shut down due to bankruptcy, our favorite Deputy Director Leslie Knope is focused on bringing back the once-famous Pawnee Harvest Festival and there’s a lot riding on the back of the event. In a deal made with state auditors Ben and Chris, if the festival fails, they’re free to eliminate the parks department. It’s a huge gamble but it’s great to see the faith Leslie has not only in her colleagues and position, but the town of Pawnee itself.

Infidelity! Abortion! Multiple personalities! Down’s Syndrome! Couples therapy! Tell-all manuscripts! Liza Weil! This episode of Private Practice sure had a lot on its plate, didn’t it?

After Bizzie’s funeral last week, the docs are back in California (sans Addison who’s helping close up things with The Captain – or Kate Walsh was on vacation?) and ready to get back to the business of healing themselves and others. But with Violet’s book nearing publication, things are not entirely lovey dovey on the homefront.

It would be so much easier to care about the trivial things in this episode if we cared more about the characters. As I noted last week, the characters on this show are slowly growing on me, but at the speed of sticky taffy.

The main story is about Ben, the only character I do identify with (although, that may be because we all love Chandler Bing).
