Family Guy
The Hand That Rocks the Wheelchair

Original Air Date: Mar 6, 2011

Arthur Aringdale – Two Cents Reviewer

There are two distinct episodes living side by side in “The Hand That Rocks the Wheelchair:” one about Brian and Stewie dealing with an evil clone Stewie accidentally made of himself, and one in which Meg steps in for Bonnie to help take care of Joe while she’s gone, and slowly loses her mind as she convinces herself Joe is in love with her.

Running an “a” story and a “b” story is not uncommon in sitcoms, Family Guy included, but I separate the threads in this episode for two reasons: they are not interconnected in any way, such that they could literally be from two different episodes, and they differ so wildly in quality that I feel it is unfair to drag the good one down entirely by latching it onto the bad.

Off the Map – Recap & Review – It’s a Leaf

It’s a Leaf

Original Air Date: Mar 2, 2011

Meg – Staff Writer

Lily is not pleased to learn that her new boyfriend is actually a giant cocaine farmer. He claims it’s “just a leaf” (episode title shout out!) and that it is good for herbal tea. Although Mateo pulls out all the handsome stranger stops to woo her back, at the end of the episode, it looks as though they are Splitsville.

Meanwhile, Ben spends the episode trying to convince Ryan to go to New York for heart transplant surgery. Ryan is resistant, but ultimately relents—which is good, considering the alternative is, you know, death.

Here we all are, back for another week of Degrassi: In Too Deep.  We’ve got Clare, Eli, Fitz, Sav, Alli, Drew, KC, and Jenna, with a sprinkling of Adam, Bianca, and Holly J to fill out our story needs this week.  Who’s bringing the drama, who’s bringing the silly, and who’s bringing the religion?

As always, we’ve got three story arcs, in varying degrees of quality.  Can you imagine a Degrassi episode where everyone brought the same level of intensity?

Anybody ever wonder what the love child of Clark Kent and Lex Luthor would look like? Anybody? Me neither, but in this week’s episode of Smallville you will get to see firsthand.

This is the last new episode until April 15th and it has one of the creepiest endings ever! What do you do when your child has two versions of himself, one side evil and one side good? Let’s see which one you like better.

CBS Renews How I Met Your Mother For 2 Years

photo: cbs

Good news – How I Met Your Mother is coming back for at least two more seasons!

From The Hollywood Reporter: “CBS’ How I Met Your Mother is returning for two more seasons.

The half-hour Monday night comedy has been performing well in its sixth season, anchoring the 8 p.m. time slot.”

MyTwoCents: This is great, as it’s one of the funniest shows on television. My one reservation – does this mean we won’t find out the mother for another 2 years?

AND THEN THERE WAS MYTHOLOGY! No your eyes don’t deceive you. Three episodes after the Mother of All was introduced, the writers finally realize that they actually have to explain her relevance to the show. Also brace yourselves because there is not ONE, but THREE DEATHS! And one of them is a Winchester. Come to think of it, all are part of the family so to speak.

Want to know who got ganked and who lives to hunt another day? Read on after the jump!

American Idol
Top 24 Results

Original Air Date: Mar 3, 2011

I thought a two-hour results show without filler had to be as mythical as unicorns and dragons. I guess I was wrong. Except for premiering a new J.Lo video (oh the cut away to this – which had been teased for the two night proceeding – felt soooo unplanned!), this results show felt packed to the gills.

After a short look at the last two nights and some of the contestants’ journeys, we got right to business as the singers sat on the Stools of Doom. Ryan dimmed the lights and cued the ominous music. He brought up groups – two sets of guys alternating with the women. Who would make it to the sofa and safety?

Rather than drawing it out two hours here as well, here’s the condensed version in the order they were selected:

Criminal Minds: Suspect Behavior – Recap & Review – See No Evil

Criminal Minds: Suspect Behavior
See No Evil

Original Air Date: Mar 2, 2011

Angelique – Associate Staff Writer
Angelique@thetwocentscorp.com

See no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil. A very overused cliche, and therefor known by everyone. Is there a rule that every crime based television show has to use this cliche at least once?

Just like last week we start the episode with a scene where not everything is what it seems. It’s raining, a woman wants to start her car but it doesn’t work. A man who seems to be observing steps out of his vehicle into the rain to help the woman. But she kills him. The moment it became clear that the Unsub removed the victims eyes I suspected that the next murder would have something to do with listening. The episode tittle gave that one away.
