CBS has ordered two more editions of SURVIVOR to be broadcast during the 2011-2012 season. These will mark the 23rd and 24th editions of television’s longest-running hit reality competition series.

Additionally, Emmy Award-winner Jeff Probst has signed a new agreement to continue as host and as an executive producer for the 23rd and 24th editions. Probst has hosted SURVIVOR since its inception.

Graduation Day

Original Air Date: Mar 8, 2011

“And today is graduation day. Time to push our little boot ducklings out of the warm nest of their training officers.”

It’s graduation day. The rookies will become cops. And for us, a possible goodbye to our show. SAVE SOUTHLAND.

In the final episode of the season, we will find out what happens between Rodrigo and Lydia (and if Josie finds out or not), if Nate’s killer finally gets justice, how Sammy will handle the baby situation, Cooper’s back problem (and pill addiction) and other random tidbits (you know Dewey needs to make an appearance somewhere).

Opening scene: A suspect is running up the emergency escape stairs of a building. Sherman is following him. He starts running across the roof and jumps off the roof to the next building. Sherman follows. JUMP.

Voiceover: All cops know, and Probationary Officer Ben Sherman is beginning to understand, that sometimes you can’t think about. You just gotta make that leap.

Raising Hope – Recap & Review – The Cultish Personality

Raising Hope
The Cultish Personality

Original Air Date: Mar 8, 2011

Seems like family members are popping up all over the place. First Virginia’s arch-enemy-cousin, and now Burt’s brother! Amazing how a new baby can bring family together isn’t it? The family is playing hide and go seek with Hope (how amazing is this family?) when “Uncle Bruce” pulls up, played by JK Simmons. He’s a no-nonsense kind of guy, the exact opposite of the Chance family.

So last night we finally saw the episode that was supposed to air last week and was pre-empted for a man I shall not name. But no matter. The twists and final, tragic outcome may not have made up for the move, but did make me forget it temporarily.

There’s a lot of drama in the station. Fitch is evaluating Washington, Sanchez is angry with Stone for giving his ex, Riley, money, and Longford is hit with the news his youngest daughter is engaged to her boyfriend of just six months.

Glee – Recap & Review – Sexy

Glee
Sexy

Original Air Date: Mar 8, 2011

Nicola – Staff Writer

And here’s another episode with A Message: this week’s Glee is all about sex ed. However, unlike the alcohol awareness episode which actually served as a bit of a warning, the sex ed episode totally promotes teen sex. But what else would we expect from Glee?

Emma is heading the celibacy club, the very small celibacy club. She’s having trouble getting through to the student population, and Will sympathizes (oh, how he sympathizes).

In The Ghetto

Colleen – TwoCents Reviewer

I have to say that with the last two episodes show that Harry’s Law is back! I am not sure about all of you, but it seemed that during the February sweeps the show just got dull. The excitement, except in one or two cases, was gone.

But last week was very much an improvement and this week also didn’t disappoint!

NBC Announces Season Finales For Spring 2011

30 rock hits 100th episode

NBC today announced many of its season finales for such series as “30 Rock,” “The Office,” “Parenthood,” “Parks and Recreation,” “Community,” “The Biggest Loser” and “The Event,” among others.

In addition, NBC’s Emmy Award-winning comedy “30 Rock” (Thursdays, 10-10:30 p.m. ET) celebrates its 100th episode with a special one-hour edition on Thursday, April 21 (10-11 p.m. ET). “30 Rock” celebrates its 100th episode as “TGS,” the show-within-the-show, faces the prospect that its 100th episode may be its last. A new corporate boss, a star in hiding, and a mind-altering gas leak may doom America’s fourth-favorite Friday night sketch comedy show.

Storyline details for each series finale will be announced later.

Following are NBC’s season finales for 2010-11 (all times ET):

Mad Love – Recap & Review – Little Sister, Big City

Mad Love
Little Sister, Big City

Original Air Date: Mar 7, 2011

Farrah Kaye – Sr. Editor
farrah@thetwocentscorp.com

I don’t have siblings. I also don’t have bad hair extensions. Both of these are in tonight’s episode of Mad Love.

Brittany Snow (American Dreams, Hairspray) plays Julia, little sister to Kate. Kate takes the term “little” a bit too seriously and can’t recognize that Julia is an adult who wants to explore New York City beyond the zoo and seeing “Annie.”

The Event – Recap & Review – Inostranka

Poor Leila Buchanan. As if being abducted (a lot) and assaulted wasn’t enough, now she finds out that she’s part alien? Girl is not having a good day. Although I have to say it’s hard to fully sympathize with her, considering that when faced with all that and the prospect of an imminent extraterrestrial invasion, she’s really most concerned about whether or not her boyfriend still likes her.

The Event – Recap & Review – And Then There Were More

The Event
And Then There Were More

Original Air Date: Mar 6, 2011

Meg – Staff Writer
meg@thetwocentscorp.com

Welcome back to The Event! Previously, well, everything.

Who’s Who?
Since I think this could get a little confusing, I’m going to break it down now. When we last left off we had four main factions:
1. Aliens loyal to Sophia who love peace and butterflies and kittens and just want to go home.
2. Aliens loyal to Thomas (Sophia’s son) who want to invade and/or annihilate Earth.
3. President Handsome and his clueless cabinet, who want to protect earth from the aliens.
4. Nefarious conspirators who are abducting and experimenting on children of the aliens. These are also the same folks who tried to get Buchanan to fly the plane into the president, abducted Leila, and repeatedly tried to kill Sean. Busy people.
