After last week, we needed a good twist. This is a great episode that is able to show the compassion of our male characters. Boyd is there to defend Ava’s honor, and Raylan is there for Winona even though she is wrong in what she did.

Another part of this show that I will always love is how they always have some of the funniest lines.

Detroit 1-8-7 – Recap & Review – Motor City Blues

Detroit 1-8-7
Motor City Blues

As with many episodes of television shows after a main character is killed off, this episode of Detroit 1-8-7 was largely emotional and depressing. The characters all dealt with their own issues, inside and outside of work.

That said, there were moments of comedy sprinkled through the hour. These kept things from being too overwhelmingly dark and allowed an ending that was both hopeful and, in one case, very foreboding.

Raising Hope – Recap & Review – Mongooses

Raising Hope
Mongooses

Original Air Date: Mar 15, 2011

Rachel M – Staff Writer

This episode is all about mongooses, and no that’s not a naughty euphemism. The entire episode ends up being about pygmy mongooses! Gotta love the writers for this show. So here we go, somehow, Burt has a defect where he can’t keep pairs of things together. So every morning Virginia has to go search for the missing shoe, and along the way she usually finds the other half of a different pair.

Meanwhile, Jimmy, Hope and Maw Maw are watching a nature channel so it’s more educational for Hope. It’s all great until the mongoose kills a snake violently. Jimmy takes Hope into the kitchen and Maw Maw gets the shotgun to kill the mongooses. The hole in the wall leads to a) Burt finding the shoe he was missing, b) Jimmy insisting guns are not safe in the house and more after the jump!

Since Nicola’s off sunbathing in Hawaii, I’m here to fill you in on the latest episode of Glee. Considering the turn towards satire and mid-brow comedy this show has taken, I am not entirely surprised that the entire episode hinged on Pavarotti’s death. Yes, the bird. Our avian friend’s demise sets off a chain of events that left me scratching my head.

Why do you ask? Read on after the jump to find out.

People are strange. That is what I have begun to surmise with tonight’s events. First Adam kisses his ex-girlfriend, Rachel (apparently he’s forgotten about Chunhua and all the issues, even for that brief moment?) and then Harry talks to a man who claims his girlfriend has been locked in her basement by her husband.

There’s the woman that comes into the office saying she wants to divorce her husband…and in the end it’s a strange twist! We also have the Jenna/Malcolm kiss from last week’s episode that still needs to be dealt with.

Lane is prepping to ride a bull. Ok, bullriding: Really awesome or really dumb? Discuss. At least this guy has a helmet on. Anyhow, his riding the bull and talking to himself in his head. The buzzer sounds and guy dismounts and gets up and cheers for himself. Then the bull gets loose and he just stands there and lets the thing horn him right in the gut and then stomp on him. Alright, y’all. I’m gonna go with really dumb.

Wilson shows up at House’s hotel door. House assures Wilson he’s fine and then downs some Vicodin and chugs some liquor to wash them down. House assures Wilson he’s going to pamper himself for a couple of weeks and then he’ll be back to his normal grumpy self. House gets some room service from an awesome guy named Carnell and he and Wilson get massages. I sure could use one of those.  The massage, not Carnell or Vicodin.  Well, maybe the Vicodin.

When you’re in a relationship, you want your friends to be friends. But how far will you go to make that work?

In this episode of Mad Love, Kate gives love advice (in a men’s bathroom) to Larry about how to deal with women while Ben attempts (and fails miserably) to help Connie in every possible way he can to get on her good side.

Being Human – Recap & Review – I Want You Back (From the Dead)

I Want You Back (From the Dead)

Our roommates were interacting a little more outside of their comfort zone last week with mixed results. Josh hooked up with Nora, Aiden met a boy that took him back to better (human) days, and Sally discovered a future for ghosts that don’t find a way to move on.

What happens when those previous interactions are explored further? Which is more difficult… connecting with someone completely different from you or one you share something in common with? And who says our roommates have their relationships all figured out correctly anyway?
