New Girl
Bachelorette Party

Original Air Date: Apr 9, 2013

This just in: CeCe’s getting married in three weeks! The invite sends everyone into a tailspin: Schmidt because he wants a plus one, Jess because she wants to throw a bachelorette party on short notice, and the guys because Jess makes them kidnap Shivrang. Someone please inform Winston that this is just a figurative kidnap.

CeCe’s always dreamed about her bachelorette party, and traditional Indian customs or not, Jess wants to make that dream come true. She invites all of their friends but doesn’t count on Shivrang’s Indian aunt, who’s currently following CeCe to get a sense of her life. These are the perils of surprise bachelorette parties, friends. Learn from them.

Dancing With The Stars
Week Four Results

Original Air Date: Apr 9, 2013

Colleen – TwoCents Reviewer
Colleen@thetwocentscorp.com

This week we celebrated with the couples. We celebrated the best year of the celebrities’ lives. Tonight, unfortunately, we will be saying goodbye to one of these celebrities. Tonight we go from ten couples down to nine. Who do you think is going home tonight? Any guesses given last night’s performances?

When we start off tonight’s show, we have the women dancing to a Beyonce song. Then we go into a short recap of last night’s dances as well as some of the reactions of the judges and the celebrities themselves. It is great to have this to remind of us who saw it last night what happened and gives those who did not, the chance to “catch up.” I think that without it, I might be a little lost in trying to remember. Does this recap help you as well?

Revolution
The Song Remains the Same

Original Air Date: Apr 8, 2013

Last week, former Assistant Secretary Randall Flynn said if they give electricity to everyone, it would just be trouble for everyone. This week, it seems that Miles has a very similar opinion. When Rachel tells Miles she wants to go to the Tower to restore power to the entire world, Miles is flabbergasted. “You’re going to give power to back everyone?!? To Georgia? To California? To Texas!?! Oh my God, Texas!?!?!!!” One of the few times I have almost laughed during an episode of Revolution. (No offense to the Lone Star State)

We start with Flynn, Monroe, and Tom Neville in Philadelphia. Flynn explains that he is an excellent manager and bluntly deems Tom as staggeringly incompetent. Tom got Ben Matheson killed and let Miles Matheson slip through his fingers. I concur with the first part, but the second part gives Miles too little credit. Nevertheless, Tom is still one of Monroe’s trusted senior officers and Monroe tasks Tom with a high-priority mission.

A Call to Arms/Love and Family

Original Air Date: Apr 8, 2013

Karen Belgrad – Senior Editor
karenbelgrad@thetwocentscorp.com

We’re down to the final stretch as TNT aired back to back episodes tonight, prior to next week’s two hour/two episode season finale. We don’t know yet if there will be a third season, but with the amount of tension and drama coming our way, one can only hope!

The interesting thing about the show since J.R.’s passing is how his legacy has brought out the devil in all of the “good” characters. Formerly sainted people are now doing mischievous acts, and while they all acknowledge it’s out of their character, the shades of grey really suit them. Because Southfork residents that wear perpetual halos are a little dull!

Annette Funicello, Actress

Actress-singer and Mickey Mouse Club icon Annette Funicello died from complications related to multiple sclerosis today. She was 70.

Funicello was 12 years old when she was reportedly hand-selected by Walt Disney to join The Mickey Mouse Club in 1955 as an original cast member. After her time on the show ended in 1959, Funicello stayed with Disney, appearing in TV shows including “Zorro” and “The Nine Lives of Elfego Baca.” She later attained teen idol status alongside Frankie Avalon in the “Beach Party” movie franchise.
