Hey, everyone! I’ll be covering 30 Rock for Laura for a while and I’m excited because there’s been significant changes at the show’s fictional (but not really) version of NBC!

Media giant Kabletown acquired GE, a business move that forced executive Jack Donaghy to trade handshakes for hugs when he finds Kabletown executives to be less than business-like. While reluctantly adjusting to his new work environment, Jack’s daughter Liddy was born when he and Avery visited Canada, forever ruining their wish for her to grow up to be President some day. Liz’s relationship with Carol, a handsome pilot, imploded due to their similar personalities as Carol turned out to be equally as principled as Liz.

The Cape – Recap & Review – Endgame

The Cape
Endgame

Original Air Date: Online Only

rachelm@thetwocentscorp.com

I just noticed the last episode of The Cape in my Hulu.com queue (I’m a little behind), so here’s the final recap and review of the final show. If you can remember far back enough, we ended with Marty being set up for corruption by Fleming and Orwell losing her mind after her abduction by The Lich. She’s painted herself into the middle of a room. She shows up at the lair, and Vince tries to get her to talk. Video of ARK’s corruption and collusion with organized crime is on the news, but Fleming weasels his way out of it. Oy.

At Marty’s house, ARK SWAT breaks in and arrests Marty in front of his family. He dug his own grave IMO. So how will The Cape wrap everything up? Find out after the jump.

“I understand that you can’t choose who you fall in love with, but you can choose to be honest.” (Addison)

While there are lots of things going on in tonight’s episode, they all can be summed up pretty quickly. Naomi is gone, Violet has her book launch party, Sheldon gets a woman, Cooper has a realization and Addison makes a life-changing decision about her future with Sam.

There’s medical cases as usual, but they play into the feelings that our favorite docs are having.

This Is How We Do It

I was convinced that the first new episode after the hiatus would be the musical episode, so I was happily surprised with this episode. After another long hiatus, Shonda Rhymes and her team of writers threw us another curve ball.

The race for Chief Resident is still on as long as Chief Webber doesn’t make a decision. So all of the Residents are running around trying to impress everyone and anyone they can but most of all the Chief. Alex is living in a trailer parked in the parking lot in front of the hospital. Webber is preoccupied with his trial and of course with Adele, who’s still in denial about the Alzheimer’s.

The office is having a first annual garage sale in the warehouse. Oscar has a table of Will and Grace DVDs. Ryan is selling jars of his mother’s pesto with Phyllis’ face on the label.

Dwight wants to swap to end up with the best item. He starts with Meredith and trades her a thumbtack for a used candle. Dwight works on Kelly and trades the used candle for a bunch of Kelly’s junk. Jim has a packet of magic beans and gives Dwight a story about buying them in Jamaica. Dwight isn’t buying it but seems intrigued.

Camping

Original Air Date: Mar 24, 2011

Valentina D. – TwoCents Reviewer
valentina@thetwocentscorp.com

“Camping” is an excellent installment of Parks and Recreation that sees the Pawnee parks department gang return to the great outdoors. It recalls last season’s instant classic “Hunting Trip,” but instead of game hunting, this time it’s a government retreat organized by the one and only Leslie Knope. Having successfully pulled off the Harvest Festival against all odds, Leslie feels pressured to come up with her Next Great Idea in order to avoid being a one hit wonder. Does she succeed or is Leslie destined to peak early? Read on to find out!

Leslie excitedly proposes a camping retreat to Ron and the rest of parks department, using it as an excuse to unveil her next mystery project and for the group to brainstorm a bunch of new ideas. The others are less than thrilled about the thought of spending a night sleeping outside. As April tells Andy, she hates camping because “you can see the stars, which I hate.”

Top 11 Results

Patricia Morris Buckley – Sr. Staff Writer
pmb@thetwocentscorp.com

When Ryan said the results would be surprising — well, we’re used to him saying that a fairly regular basis. But this time he really was TELLING THE TRUTH! It turned out to be one of the most surprising, heart-warming and entertaining results shows ever.

The evening started with Marc Anthony giving the contestants advice on how to use their earpieces. According to Ryan, they haven’t been able to hear themselves on stage, which is why they’ve been so pitchy. Oh sure, that old excuse.
