KPonTV on Batman: The Brave And The Bold Season 1 Part 2 On DVD

now available

As a kid, there was nothing better than Saturday morning cartoons. The quality “back in the day” was probably no better than the stuff that is on today, but to me it seemed to be. My favorite was Super Friends, and who could blame me. Everyone loves Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman. I was even a fan of Aquaman – yes, that’s right.

Warner Bros. is keeping this kind of show alive with series including Batman: The Brave and the Bold. And now on DVD they’ve released the second half of the first season of this show. Yes – Aquaman is in there! According to the Warner press release, this show is the top-rated Cartoon Network show among boys 6-11 and men 18-49. Inside every man there lives a little boy…

Some recognizable TV stars add their voices such as; Diedrich Bader (Outsourced, Drew Carey Show) as Batman, Will Friedle (Boy Meets World) as Blue Beetle and John DiMaggio (Futurama) as Aquaman.

photo: cbs

CBS has renewed its Sunday reality series—THE AMAZING RACE and UNDERCOVER BOSS—for broadcast during the 2011-2012 season.

THE AMAZING RACE, hosted by Phil Keoghan, will make its 19th sprint around the world next season. The recent fall edition delivered nearly 12 million viewers, matching the prior year in viewers while posting gains in both adults 25-54 (+2%) and adults 18-49 (+3%), despite airing against “Sunday Night Football.”

The current edition of THE AMAZING RACE features a unique twist with the return of 11 fan-favorite teams who fell short of winning the million dollar prize during their first race around the world. It also marks the first edition of the show to be broadcast in high definition.

THE AMAZING RACE is a seven-time Emmy Award winner for “Outstanding Reality Competition Program.”

Before we get started, let’s celebrate that The Amazing Race has been renewed! Yay!

But tonight is the one country everyone hates to go to – India. Craziness always comes in India. Tonight we’ll see the fall of Luke (according to previews), which breaks my heart just to think about. No really, I can’t think about it. I love Luke. I want to go on the show just to meet him.

TTC Weekly Picks Mar 28 – Apr 3

ttc staff picks

March 28 – April 3
Liz – Staff Writer

Every week, the staff at TheTwoCents will be posting their top picks for viewing. They won’t always be the top shows of the week, but the programs that each writer is most looking forward to checking out that week.
So, set your DVRs, watch, and then come back here to discuss how the picks worked out for you.

#1 Tuesday, March 29 – 8/7 c – The Biggest Loser

One of the few reality shows that I like to watch. I’m rather cynical about it, as more and more game play gets introduced, but still I cannot look away. Still, there is something hilarious and marvelously fulfilling about watching someone else get yelled at. And watching Bob. I love me some Bob.

Fringe – Recap & Review – Bloodline

Fringe
Bloodline

Original Air Date: Mar 25, 2011

First off, a huge Thank You! to JD for covering Fringe while I was away. She did a fantastic job. Second, Fringe was renewed! Hooray! And third, what a crazy time for me to go on vacation! I mean, Bellivia? How amazing was all that?!? Unfortunately, no Anna/Spock this week… we’re Over There.

Fauxlivia sister Rachel died from a rare blood disorder called VPE that only presents when pregnant. There is an 80% chance Fauxlivia is a carrier. If she is, it is most likely that neither she nor her baby would make it through delivery. The only solution would be an abortion. After a quick trip to the doctor for the VPE test, Fauxlivia returns home to rest and wait for the results… only she can’t rest because she feels like someone is following her (Hello, Mr. Observer!). She calls Lincoln and he sends a security detail over. When they arrive, she’s gone.

C2E2 2011: Chuck Panel

The Chicago Comic & Entertainment Expo is the latest and greatest Midwest convention of its kind. Established in 2010, it brings all forms of fictional pop culture into downtown Chicago once a year to celebrate, promote and entertain the fans that love their fiction whether in book or on screen. Being a reviewer for one of the predominant websites about television, I was given exclusive press access to the event. Pretty keen, huh?

The final TV panel of C2E2 was the largest and most playful of the convention. Chuck members Joshua Gomez (Morgan Grime), Ryan McPartlin (Capt. Awesome), Vik Sahay (Lester) and Scott Krinsky (Jeff) along with co-creator Chris Fedak took us on a very humorous journey into the international espionage world of Chuck. How much was declassified? Well, let’s find out.

This TV panel gave us the company of three fan favorites from the cast of True Blood: Sam Trammell (shapeshifter Sam Merlotte), Kristin Bauer (vampire Pam) and Brit Morgan (were-beastie Debbie Pelt). The fans were wrapped around the convention waiting to get in, so you know a packed house was going to get the cast to spill some hints towards the new season, right?

Hide And Seek (Part Two)

Original Air Date: Mar 25, 2011

Farrah Kaye – Sr. Editor
farrah@thetwocentscorp.com

Hey all! I’m back from my hiatus and it’s my turn to take a crack at these wacky Degrassi kids.

If you haven’t been keeping up, Holly J has a mysterious illness, Alli ran away from her hiding place at Johnny’s and Wes is trying to break the world record for jumping on a pogo stick.

And if that wasn’t enough goodness, there will be a season 11, starting this summer with another Boiling Point-type season, airing daily. With that, here we go!
