Betty White Gets Own TV Show On NBC

white gets another show

Is too much Betty White a bad thing?

Not according to NBC.

According to tvline.com, the peacock network announced today it has ordered 12 episodes of a reality series starring and executive produced by White called Betty White’s Off Their Rockers, a senior citizen prank show.

Yes, think PUNK’d meets The Golden Girls.

MyTwoCents: At almost 90 years old, White is going to burn out eventually. Hot In Cleveland is hilarious and I don’t want to see it lose anything because White is over on NBC filming this show. Plus I don’t want anything to happen to her! But that’s just me. What do you think? Leave your two cents below!

KPonTV on Reality TV I Actually Like

what's real in reality?

Anyone who knows me, and even those who don’t but read my material, know that I am not a fan of reality TV. I just don’t understand it. However, I feel I need to clarify some of that. It’s been a while since I’ve written a column, so now seems just as good a time as any.

I don’t hate all reality. I don’t. For the most part, I hate shows that follow people simply living life. Lives that don’t have much in there other than being stupid people. Jersey Shore, any show with a Real Housewife, Real World, etc. We make heroes and celebrities out of these people just because they’re there. All that being said, there is some reality that’s fun to watch. We’ll get into that in a second.

Let’s get going, shall we?

HBO Axes In Treatment

photo: hbo

Variety is reporting that HBO has ended production of In Treatment. But, while the show is gone, Gabriel Byrne’s character may live on!

“Exclusive: While HBO has ended its sessions with the current incarnation of “In Treatment,” it’s possible that some of the storylines may continue in another form.

Series, which ran for three seasons on the pay cabler, will not go forward with a fourth. “In Treatment” was based on an Israeli format in which a psychologist saw a range of clients, as well as seeing his own therapist.

HBO is keeping the door open to possible projects involving Gabriel Byrne’s Dr. Paul Weston or some of his patients.”

MyTwoCents: What’s the point of canceling a show to keep the character and do something new? Just keep the title and change the format – no?

Did you get a look at Casey Abram’s new look? It’s amazing what a little trim can do, but he doesn’t look like a live action version of Fozzie the Bear anymore! Will it make a difference? I think so. People now see how much he wants to stay in the game.

The show started off showing Casey’s save last week. Still got me choked up, even when I knew what was coming! Seriously, when he hugs his mom and she says she loves him…. Sniff. Give me a minute, ‘kay?

TwoCents & Five Questions With Judy Greer (Archer/Mad Love)

photos: fx/cbs

Judy Greer, Actor

Judy Greer is probably a familiar face for most people. She’s made her career playing meaty supporting roles in a multitude of films, including Love and Other Drugs, 27 Dresses, 13 Going on 30, and The Wedding Planner. She’s found a similar niche in television, most recently as Connie on Mad Love. (8:30 PM, CBS) But these days she isn’t just limiting herself to live-action roles.

In anticipation of her character’s revealing episode this Thursday, March 31 at 10 PM on FX, Judy talked with us a little about her history with animation, what it’s like to be the voice of Cheryl on Archer, and what it’s like to implode.

TheTwoCents: How did you first get started in animation and what was it about Archer that made you decide to do the show?

After last week I was worried about Justified. They took it to a soap opera level last week so needless to say I am very happy about how this week has turned out.

They brought back everything that makes me remember why I have always loved this show. Gunfire, action, shooting, sarcasm and ending with cliffhanger!

The Good Wife – Recap & Review – Killer Song

For months we’ve wondered: Is Blake a good guy or not? Are he and Kalinda ever going to get together, with or without the romantic aid of a baseball bat?

We finally have our answer. This week’s episode started seconds after the last one ended: In the parking garage with Blake and Kalinda, Blake revealing that he knows Kalinda slept with Peter to cover up a crime. And then he walks away. Forever? I’m thinking yes. After all, he’s just gone from an ambiguous character to an evil one.

So no great loss there.

This episode might be a little hard for me to recap, not because it didn’t have a logical plot or anything like that, but for the fact that FBI Agent Tobias Fornell is in this episode and I could quite easily write a 1000 word essay on the epic bromance that is Fornell/Gibbs!

I shall endeavor not to do so though.

Yes, It’s True – MTV is Bringing Back Teen Wolf

photo: mtv

In a world of Vampire Diaries, Twilight, Supernatural and the like – MTV couldn’t help but get in the game.

However, if you watch the newly released trailer for the show, this isn’t Michael J. Fox’s Teen Wolf – and it’s certainly not Jason Bateman’s. This is right down Twilight alley. However, the main character is named Scott – that’s something.

From MTV: “Always an outsider and often unnoticed, Scott McCall yearns to be recognized in some small way that takes him out of his typical state of high school anonymity.
