“Family is what makes us strong.” (Frank)

I love Blue Bloods. Every week I defend the show for being inconsistent. But this week, there’s just no reason for the inconsistency in the writing.

In tonight’s episode, Danny’s wife, Linda, is kidnapped after Danny witnesses a drug lord shoot someone while off duty. In usual (and unrealistic) form, Danny works his own wife’s kidnapping, with Jamie and Frank involved.

Song Beneath The Song

Grey’s goes Glee! We had a musical episode on Buffy years ago – “Once More With Feeling” – and even though I don’t remember many details of that show, I do remember that episode! And I have a feeling that this Grey’s episode will do the exact same thing.

Don’t get me wrong by what I am about to say because I love Glee. I was a little worried (a teeny tiny bit) that this episode of Grey’s would become somewhat cheesy. Glee is all about the music and the performances and in the back of my mind I was wondering how that concept fit into a regular Grey’s episode and I wasn’t really sure if it could. But Shonda and the outstanding cast and crew of Grey’s have proven that I was wrong.

Private Practice – Recap & Review – The Hardest Part

The Hardest Part

Original Air Date: Mar 31, 2011

While I would love to sit here and write a novel about the Grey’s Anatomy musical episode, that’s not my duty. However, Addison was over in Seattle helping the Glee Club … I mean the doctors of Seattle Grace … so there is zero resolution or continuation to her and Sam’s argument over her wanting a baby.

There is, however, much drama with Sheldon dating Violet’s book critic, Cooper opening up even more about his childhood while working with Amelia on an intense case, Pete’s mother coming in with major heart damage and Violet and Sheldon working together on a trio of teenagers who got pregnant because it was the cool thing to do.

Mighty Sheldor, level 85 warrior, has been kidnapped! Er… avatar-napped! This means war! Unfortunately, the boys are just a tad below level 85 in their own warrior skills.

Leonard comes home to find that Sheldon has called the police because his World of Warcraft account has been hacked. After the police, understandably, offer little guidance in rectifying the situation, Leonard gathers the gang to survey the WoW world for tips on the hacker. Penny hears about it from Bernadette, so she comes by to offer Leonard some day-old cheesecake to ease the pain. She has an awkward run-in with Priya on her way out, and vents to Bernadette and Amy (who is convinced she is drunk after a 1/4 tsp of Kahlua).

KPonTV on The Grey’s Anatomy Musical Episode – Did It Work?

i turned on a drama and a musical broke out

Many series have pulled off a musical episode. Drew Carey Show, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Scrubs and even the cool Suits song and dance number from How I Met Your Mother.

Look at those shows – not really the biggest dramas are they? So, what happens when one of TV’s most popular dramas tries it? Grey’s Anatomy aired its “Song Beneath The Song” episode last night.

Are the Grey’s fans GLEEful with this treatment? Many were cautious but there were many fans who were optimistic with Tony-winning Sara Ramirez on staff.

So, how did it do? I can’t get a consensus. It’s like marshmallow fluff – you either LOVE it, think it’s just OK, or you HATE it.
