I’d say anytime a show opens in an ambulance, you can be sure the rest of the episode should be pretty exciting. Charmaine’s ambulance ride to the hospital leads to Tara being blamed (correctly) for inducing early labor.

After skipping her flight, Kate waits for her baggage, and after realizing she’s missing some, she talks to a bag boy, Ray, about how she’s having a major life breakthrough and needs her lost luggage. She rambles a little in Japanese, using a phrase that translates to, “flower bird wind wind”, saying she doesn’t know what it means, but it’s pretty. So very Kate.

Dancing with the Stars
Week 5

Original Air Date: Apr 18, 2011

Annette: Associate Staff Writer

It’s American week. All of the music was supposed to be tributes to America. I was a little concerned we would be bombarded with red white and blue costumes. Fortunately, only two of them were overly American flag-ish.

We also got to see the 1000th competitive dance – performed by Kendra and Louis.

TwoCents & Five Questions with Martha Plimpton & Greg Garcia (Raising Hope)

photo: fox

Martha Plimpton, Actress
Greg Garcia, Writer/Producer

Martha Plimpton has one of the longest and most diverse resume’s in film and television, yet she’s never done a serial television show before. Well she’s made an excellent entrée to the genre with a leading role in Raising Hope. This show has me falling off my couch laughing, and if you haven’t seen it yet, start! I had a chance to speak to her and executive producer Greg Garcia about her career and Raising Hope.

TheTwoCents: Martha let me ask you, as an accomplished actress, what excites you about playing a character like Virginia?

It’s finally there! With only 5 episodes left in the fourth season, Gossip Girl came back with an episode that brought back the crazy, over the top shenanigans that we know and love! The last episode left on a huge Dan and Blair cliffhanger and of course the whole Lily going to prison thing.

This week, we jump back in after a little time has passed. Dan and Blair’s possible relationship is still unclear, Chuck is still well Chuck, Lily prepares to go to prison with her family at her side and a new arrival (or should I say 2 new arrivals) may shake things up in a big way…

How I Met Your Mother
Hopeless

Last time we saw Barney’s father, Jerry, he and his son didn’t exactly have a joyful reunion. This week, though, Jerry is making another attempt at getting Barney to forgive him- and more John Lithgow is a good thing in my book.

I thought this was one of the best episodes in a while. Our first indication? The twist on the traditional, well-known opening number, with the cast playing it as the band Barney told Jerry they formed.

Oh Cul-de-sac crew, don’t ever leave us for a prolonged period with subpar sitcoms again! Tonight, We’re Back Cougar Town (hi dance fans, please still be there…) returned after way too many weeks of hiatus.

To get the most important detail out of the way first, the phone number from the radio ad is 855-PENNY-CAN (855-736-6922). Remember to ask the operator for Carol and tell her you’re looking for PENNY CAN!, not the weight loss products or sexual aids.

Mad Love – Recap & Review – Pub Quiz

Mad Love
Pub Quiz

Original Air Date: Apr 18, 2011

Theresa – Staff Writer
theresa@thetwocentscorp.com

Do you like Larry Munsch? Do you like pub quizzes? Do you like Larry Munsch participating in a pub quiz? I answer a resounding “Yes” to all of the above. Which works out, because I’ll be taking over these recaps from Farrah for the rest of the season!

The pub quiz – a general trivia contest held at the bar – is the highlight of Larry’s year. He and Ben study like crazy, and their “Team Shaboom” has won five years in a row. But this year (dramatic music), something might put an end to their streak.
